@goombajoe715 Usually older people (including pilots) tend to forget things and have a longer reaction time. Also they sometimes make their own procedures for routine actions. Where younger people are sharp and they just came from school so they handle the procedures.

Young pilots only get a pilots licence if their well capable of doing the job, so no need to question their skills.

Being a Fixed wing and a Rotary wing flight instructor I can honestly say there is no such thing as ( The Best Pilot in the World ) for many reasons. Every landing is different and every situation is different. As long as every flight is made safely you have done your job as a pilot. I have been flying since I was 14 and became a CFII in both Cats at 18. I am 25 now and I learned to be safe on the first day. And thats all that counts.

There is no minimum age to TAKE flying lessons. However, to get a student pilot certificate you must be at least 14, and 16 to fly solo.

To actually get your private pilot certificate you must be 17, unless you get certified in a balloon or glider, then it's 16.

To get your commercial pilot certificate you must be 18. And the minimum age to get an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate is 23.

Nice landing but with all due respect, "best pilot in the world" is a little steep. You want to see ONE of the best pilots in the world, take a look at some video of Capt. Al Haynes, in whom SAVED over 180 lives landing United 232, a DC10, with no hydrualics, no steering, no breaks, no nothing, just asymetrical thrust, 2 guys helping and some true native ability. Granted, many lives were lost but his skills saved many. THAT too me, is the best pilot. Again, nice landing with all due respect.

Actually, I have flow twin-engine aircraft along with jets. The runway I landed on in this video was 4000ft long and I landed and turned off the runway at the first taxi way which is only 1200ft from the approach end.
