Does she realize that you do not HAVE to Punish or Absolve enemies? Yeah you wont level up but the game can be beaten without leveling up really it just makes the game more difficult. And i actually think its a creative idea to choose to Punish or Absolve enemies to level up your character.
I downloaded that game on the ps3 and i like that it has custom soundtrack which i find it very cool when i fight enemies using Devil May Cry music. Also it was epic when i used the music of the final battle between Neo and Smith from Matrix Revolutions for the final boss fight of the game. The thing i hate most about that game is it shows alot of nudity and that Single combo challenge is very irritating and frustrating for me and the bosses feels almost impossible to beat beyond normal mode.

I personally prefer Dante's Inferno to any of the God of War games. There is more to a game than it's gameplay. The story is compelling, the cut scenes are AMAZINGLY well done and it's just a superb game.
well in the actual story, dante is lost in his spiritual journey, his wife is dead, BUT IN HEAVEN and she sends virgil to take him through the nine levels of hell to get to heaven to see his wife (which he had only met twice in his life)
I liked Dante's Inferno way more than God of War. I hate Kratos's guts. I just can't like him. And as a mythology nerd, God of War annoys me by almost sounding like a myth and then making no sense. That said, Dante's Inferno is a masterpiece for the first couple circles and then gets sloppy for later ones. *Sigh* A redo of the last few circles might even be better than a sequel....

Sorry I don't remember much about DI's story or information, but I was just putting it out there that they both have history behind them (and yea both were obviously written more than hundreds of years ago) ^_^; a shame they completely copied gameplay though. But I've gotta say, these stories were so interesting that I may play through just for that. As soon as I get around to starting the GOW series when I have time xD
I remember when this game was coming out I was a senior in high school and my english teacher was so excited to get this xD we had just finished reading the story too haha. But yes, I would have been upset if you said that the story or anything of that sort was a ripoff because both God of War and Dante's inferno are based off of real stories that were written hundreds of years ago, GOW being based off the greek gods and DI being a whole different story, hence we were stuying it in highschool.

It is not really a rip off of God Of War because the poem was made way way way before any of the God Of War games have been released. So really it was all in the book and they just decided to make it into a game. God Of Way just got there 1st. But with a different story line. You don't absorb them you absolve them which means to clense them of their sins. It was an ok game but GOW was way better. The biggest difference was in the cutscenes, Dante's Inferno's cutscenes were like crappy Saturday morning cartoons and GOW's cut scenes looked like they came out of 300.

As someone who is primarily a 360 owner which means I play most my titles on it. I do have a PS3 but I am not a Huge God of War fan and yet I loved Dante's Inferno. I disagree with it being called a Rip of the game because I see it as a separate entity due to the Main concept of the game(Story,setting) The Characters are not identical because then you would have to say that God of war is the only game that can use Demon/God type enemies?? I see a game trying to be different yet familiar. :)

It is not really a rip off of God Of War because the poem was made way way way before any of the God Of War games have been released. So really it was all in the book and they just decided to make it into a game. God Of Way just got there 1st. But with a different story line. And I think the God Of War main character look way cooler.

how about showing some clips highlighting the same bosses and such for 360 owners instead of going on like a narcissist. Plus the DMC franchise is 4 years older than GOW, therefore GOW is as much of a rip off of that as dante is of GOW. You people need to stop saying this shit, it's unfair, they're the same genre. You don't absorb them you absolve them which means to clense them of their sins. It was an ok game but GOW was way better. The biggest difference was in the cutscenes, Dante's Inferno's cutscenes were like crappy Saturday morning cartoons and GOW's cut scenes looked like they came out of 300.

As someone who is primarily a 360 owner which means I play most my titles on it. I do have a PS3 but I am not a Huge God of War fan and yet I loved Dante's Inferno. I disagree with it being called a Rip of the game because I see it as a separate entity due to the Main concept of the game(Story,setting) The Characters are not identical because then you would have to say that God of war is the only game that can use Demon/God type enemies?? I see a game trying to be different yet familiar. :)

Where she does not say how she thinks is suppose to be set in stone. All you are doing is stating what i have been saying. Certain games play off another and to be honest no where in God of War is there cut scenes of the Grim Reaper and the Battles with the Devil. But it is an exact rip. and many agree that it's not a rip as well.

on 2 and 3 (Gow ) are just an expansion of the same combos..
