I have searched for this movie for 28 years! My kids would ask me what my favorite movie was and I would always say "The Electric Grandmother". I could never find it. My kids are grown now.....they were so small when I watched it. Thank you for bringing back a beautiful memory!

My brother and I still talk about this movie and remember it's sweetness. My own mother still could hum the tune that Grandmother sang. Thank you for bringing back a memory for us. I loved this movie.

Thank you so much for sharing this memory from my childhood! I cried like a baby as I watched and remembered the poignant ending. As a single mother of 2 beautiful children, I know there will come a time in the not-so-distant future when they will no longer need me as they once did. And then it will be me sitting in a rocking chair, reminiscing about their childhoods, and feeling like it was only yesterday that I sang them lullabies as I held them in my arms. =-(

I am astounded to find this movie again...I'd nearly forgotten it (as the last time I'd seen it was when I was about 8 years old)...but it still brings tears to my eyes. I wish they would put it on dvd, though.

I love this movie. It is so touching. Makes me cry each time I watch it because if only we could have our grandmothers love all the days of our life. That would be so wonderful. 18 years was just not enough for me. I miss my Grandparents so much.

WOW..I've been lookin for this movie for a long time but I could never get the name rite. The part that stuck with me the most was when she took them out to fly a kite and when they broke the sting she pulled some sting rite out of her finger. LOL What realy got me was when she played back the "I LOVE GRANDMA"through her hand.Thanks again for outting this up. I cant beleive I"m actualy chokin up about this.

When I first saw this as a kid it made a big impression on me but now it just seemed disturbing lol. I mean the whole point was that the grandma would always be there no matter what which is basically teaching kids to be unable to handle loss.

This movie makes me think of my great grandmother who passed away in 1988. I still miss her now as much as I did then. We were very close. This movie touches my heart, I cry every time, especially when she sings. THANK YOU for posting this wonderful movie. XOXO

For years I had a memory of a great movie where a robot Grandma slept in a rocking chair while plugged in and was later hit by a car and came back to life and was starting to wonder if I'd made it up.

Yesterday a friend recommended some Twilight Zone episodes and I watched the one based on the same short story (I Sing The Body Electric) and decided to see if I could find the remake.
