Played with lamarcus in southwest last year, this kid is a great athlete ! being an offensive player i had much respect for him on defense,hes pretty much a complete football player ! good luck to him

From the beginning I have always been on him about going away from home and getting out of the hood and out of the city. Going away and growing up and how it helps you mature more. YOu know it did wonders for me and also all of his other coaches left miami to go to school and play ball. We all were talking the same thing. Plus UM's performance was suspect especially at the CB spot. It's on him. I told him if he goes out just go to a school that will benefit him the rest of his life.
I also watched the Upper Arlington game, I think they did STA a dis-justice by not playing them against a better Ohio team, like Glenville, St Elder or any other bigger school. STA team is sick they are the most talented team I have seen in a while.

Hey Genron, I was at the Upper Arlington game. It seemed to me like they looked at is as a scrimmage, most of the guys I wanted to see didn't play much, but I was impressed with a couple juniors.. Dorsett and Wilson mainly.
Even was able to catch up with Lamarcus after the game and got a picture, very polite young man. You did a great job, we need more players like him in Tallahassee. I really hope he is a part of our future.

College teams have multiple WRs that are tall and just as fast, and run great routes. He fits in best as a cover safety and thats where he plays in all his highlights. Great backup for a CB and a tough hitter vs the run and a great blitzer. He is a cover safety.. Not a CB or a strong safety. No matter how good you are in high school, first thing you learn at college is everyone is big and fast.. same when you move up to the pros. its a whole new level.
I agree with you there. I was just saying that he may only be playing safety at the high school level to have more opportunities to make plays. Like I said I see Antoine Winfield in this young man. But if he plays Safety I guess a Bob Sanders or a smaller Ed Reed would be fine with Jimmy T or Mr. Bowden.

Im pretty sure genron knows LJ's abilities haha. Everyone i've talked to that has seen the kid says he has the best hips they've seen in a high school kid. In some cases, a coach puts a player at safety to give him more opportunities to make plays. Being a Buckeye fan I know this all too well with Malcolm Jenkins. Nobody threw at him so he is moved to safety to make plays. A talent such as LJ shouldnt be put on one side of the field where there is likely no action.
You always put your best DB at CB and if he don't work out you move him to safety. Thats why CB's make the BIG money in the pros. Your going up against the best the other team has to offer and thats there outsde receivers. At safety your there for backup for the CB and to add run support and blitz.,
LJ is a great player at safety, but it's silly to say how he will do at CB when he has never played it. No action on the outside? LOL. where do you think the big - fast WR's play.

Not always!!! If LJ was playing CB, I would line the WR he covers on one side and pick on the guy on the other side. He is fast enough to play the entire field when playing safety. The film dont lie!!! watch it again and count the times they threw to either side and LJ was there to break it up and burry WR's in the dirt. Now at the next level, things are a bit different. And when he gets to the pros, he will be making the big bucks. Speaking of bucks, GO BUCKS!!!
These kind of camps are not set up for a player like LJ, he is a S and not a CB. He should get beat 1 on 1 against the top WRs, thats just the way it is.

Camp drills like the ones at FNL do not favor the DB's at all. For LJ to go head to head like he did with one of the top WR's in the country and possibly the fastest, speaks volumes. Like I said, this young man is a star. GO BUCKS!!!

Played with lamarcus in southwest last year, this kid is a great athlete ! being an offensive player i had much respect for him on defense,hes pretty much a complete football player ! good luck to him

genron I loved what LJ said about Ohio State, if he comes up to Columbus he would be set for life, it's true. Ohio State pretty much turns out corners and safeties every draft. With LJ's talent he would be no excepetion, he would be another Ohio State first round draft pick.

From the beginning I have always been on him about going away from home and getting out of the hood and out of the city. Going away and growing up and how it helps you mature more. YOu know it did wonders for me and also all of his other coaches left miami to go to school and play ball. We all were talking the same thing. Plus UM's performance was suspect especially at the CB spot. It's on him. I told him if he goes out just go to a school that will benefit him the rest of his life.

I also watched the Upper Arlington game, I think they did STA a dis-justice by not playing them against a better Ohio team, like Glenville, St Elder or any other bigger school. STA team is sick they are the most talented team I have seen in a while.

You mean after the 2007 Miami Northwestern Sqaud. We would have beat this STA team. They are one dimensional, no passing game and they dont have any scary WR's besides LJ. YOu see what happened last game without Gio. LJ had to stat the scoring with a KR td and then a 60 yd Rec td.

Hey Genron, I was at the Upper Arlington game. It seemed to me like they looked at is as a scrimmage, most of the guys I wanted to see didn't play much, but I was impressed with a couple juniors.. Dorsett and Wilson mainly.
Even was able to catch up with Lamarcus after the game and got a picture, very polite young man. You did a great job, we need more players like him in Tallahassee. I really hope he is a part of our future.

College teams have multiple WRs that are tall and just as fast, and run great routes. He fits in best as a cover safety and thats where he plays in all his highlights. Great backup for a CB and a tough hitter vs the run and a great blitzer. He is a cover safety.. Not a CB or a strong safety. No matter how good you are in high school, first thing you learn at college is everyone is big and fast.. same when you move up to the pros. its a whole new level.

I agree with you there. I was just saying that he may only be playing safety at the high school level to have more opportunities to make plays. Like I said I see Antoine Winfield in this young man. But if he plays Safety I guess a Bob Sanders or a smaller Ed Reed would be fine with Jimmy T or Mr. Bowden.

High rated....yep...Hard hitter..yep.. fast... yep.. but from all the highlights i have seen on him none are him playing CB..... so don't know how you would know how he will project as a CB, as its a whole different position then the highlights of him playing safety... we will see.... still a good player..
I'd like to see the highlights of him at CB..... load them up..... lets see him back pedal and turn those hips and stick with a top WR on the outside.....

Im pretty sure genron knows LJ's abilities haha. Everyone i've talked to that has seen the kid says he has the best hips they've seen in a high school kid. In some cases, a coach puts a player at safety to give him more opportunities to make plays. Being a Buckeye fan I know this all too well with Malcolm Jenkins. Nobody threw at him so he is moved to safety to make plays. A talent such as LJ shouldnt be put on one side of the field where there is likely no action.

You always put your best DB at CB and if he don't work out you move him to safety. Thats why CB's make the BIG money in the pros. Your going up against the best the other team has to offer and thats there outsde receivers. At safety your there for backup for the CB and to add run support and blitz.,
LJ is a great player at safety, but it's silly to say how he will do at CB when he has never played it. No action on the outside? LOL. where do you think the big - fast WR's play.

Not always!!! If LJ was playing CB, I would line the WR he covers on one side and pick on the guy on the other side. He is fast enough to play the entire field when playing safety. The film dont lie!!! watch it again and count the times they threw to either side and LJ was there to break it up and burry WR's in the dirt. Now at the next level, things are a bit different. And when he gets to the pros, he will be making the big bucks. Speaking of bucks, GO BUCKS!!!

These kind of camps are not set up for a player like LJ, he is a S and not a CB. He should get beat 1 on 1 against the top WRs, thats just the way it is.
Unless Gator fans have a agenda, i also heard he didn't do well at the FL camps, word is he doesnt have great hips that you need to play CB, so most think he is a pure S. and if thats the case thats fine as you need a good S on a team to go with those CBs.

Nough said. I always contend that you watch the highlight film of him. It's not 4 mins or 3...it's over six with a ton plays. Unlike most others.. He had over 100 TT back to back. Yeap, but they went 2 and 2. The 1st the time LJ got a pick, the next two Dunkley got him, and on the last turn LJ shut him down. It was great to see. Two great players going at it. Normally I guess you would one dominate the other but this was not the case. It was even, i enjoyed it.
