I agree. Another good example of this is Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails. Cmpare the sound of The Downward Spiral to their new music. Kind of reminds me of how Staind evolved from the sound on this album to what they are today.

I can't really appreciate most of this album, apart from 'Break' and this song, because it just seems too unrefined in its sound. Dysfunction, however, is perfect.
This album kind of gives you the walk-into-a-creepy-old-abandoned-house-and-find-a-dead-rotting-body-with-it's-head-exploded-from-a-gunshot-in-the-attic-or-basement-and-find-an-impaled-bible-with-a-bunch-of-other-gruesome-creepy-shit feel to it.
Aaron says he wouldn't have his life any other way now. He loves it. He's got a band, god in his life again, family, wife, kids, all this stuff. Tormented was just showing the shit that he was going through.
Realistically, if he hadn't evolved from this time, he probably would have OD'ed or committed suicide. I love watching the progression of people/bands like this. The intensity here is damn raw, amazing

haha just messin man i understand. at first i wasnt a big fan of this album but after i started listening to it i started to like it
i think a lot of people like this music but the lyrics are the reason why it could be heavy like this. angry lyrics usually lead to heavy music. i dont think that Happy Hardcore music counts...that type of music is a joke
