I just got a used G2, and my track pad is just like yours... very unsensitive, and up and down work, but left and right are tricky.

You probably have cold ass hands. Also, try using your thumb next time. It works much better.

Mine does the exact same thing. Seems better for horizontal scrolling for whatever reason.
