It's really strange that Tom turned down a role he auditioned for.  Why did he do it in the first place then? Why did he refer this role he had no interest in to his best friend? Rob wasn't interested in teen movies too, he's doing Little Ashes and he had no interest in playing gorgeous guy as well!

Tom is great looking and can definitely play a dangerous vampire. But the chemistry between Rob and Kristen is too intense to be replaced and they're centainly a perfect package for Edward Bella. They may not be the best looking couple but they got unbelievable charisma and in my opinion breathtaking beauty too, their talented and soulful acting also led to the great success of Twilight.
