@Xbox360videos141 it depends which wp7 phone you get. you should look up what windows phone 7 devices are coming to your carrier, and remember that its only the first generation! so there will be improvements in hardware if you want to wait, but a lot of the phones that are coming now out are pretty nice

Nothing about WP7 mimics iOS, it's completely unique from every aspect. Apple was ONLY granted a limited pantent and the criteria outlined has no effect on WP7.

@MegaAdam1995, 5MP is standard for all WP7 devices, although one thing to note is that MP just refers to the resolution of the photo it doesn't necessary mean the photo quality will be better, that's based on the lens chip and drivers used.

@config2000 with the built in GPS there are some good geotagging apps in progress. The other specifications depends on phone model not OS. So you have to get the phone that provides those features.

Some pretty interesting features for the photography aspect of Win 7 there. Looking a lot better then the previous WinMo versions. Wouldn't mind seeing the specs on that device either. I tried looking online, but I found varying specs and nothing seems to be solid.

I've seen demos with WP7 supporting landscape for pictures, video, and the onscreen keyboard (I don't know about other features' landscape support). This very video shows landscape support for pictures at 2:55.
