The Ames, Iowa Straw poll is scheduled to take place on August 13, 2011. Because of this, it is imperative to catapult Ron Paul to victory in the straw poll. On July 19, 2011, we will hold an online money bomb in support of Ron Paul for President 2012, with the goal to win the Ames, Iowa straw poll.
Please invite all your friends and help Ron Paul end our costly military involvements overseas, shrink the size of our government and restore the republic
July 4, 2011, Rand Paul, It is too late now to say that it was a mistake to go to war in Iraq. We had to get rid of Suddam Heisan. Ron Paul is not the greatest so stop lifting him up so high. Be Honest and face Reality. Ron Paul is not good enough for America nor to be the President. Homosexuals and Lesbians should not ever have any rights at all and they should not ever be allowed to enter into "marriage".!!!!

a little FYI to Ron Paul acolytes: Since the U.S. has sold off all the gold it once possessed, we have nothing to peg our currency too. Due to the catastrophic debt increases that Reagan & Bush, Sr. put us under we are on a runaway train heading to destruction.
There is only one choice, the NUCLEAR OPTION. Declare the U.S. dollar deceased, zero out _ALL_ U.S. Treasury notes (which would absolutely destabilize China, a GOOD THING) and then give every American back that money over 10 years...

What about donating the money to the food crisis in Sudan? What is his policy on international humanitarian issues? Is it fair to let people starve due to a lack of food while our obesity rates continue to climb and lower our life expectancy? Seems like we need to shift the focus away from going to war for oil, and put our funds towards balancing out the food shortage. What is more important fueling an SUV or giving the people of Sudan another day of life? Think about it.
Why can't you donate money to the food crisis in Sudan? Why do you feel that the federal government should be tasked with providing charity where it is needed? If you feel so strongly about the situation over there, then perhaps you can work to help those people. To me, it doesn't make sense to force the entire nation to contribute when the role of government is strictly to protect our lives, and liberty. Your problem is that you see the government as the answer to problems, not eh cause.
To his credit, Rand Paul (libertarian), UNLIKE 95% of mainstream conservatives and Republicans, is NOT in Reagan denial (talk vs. walk - hypocrisy). Like his father, Paul is not stuck on "What would Reagan/Limbaugh do?"
It's a shame that the other 95% will NEVER come to terms with the glaring disconnect between Reagan TALK and Reagan WALK . . . only because their jingoistic PRIDE won't allow them to go there. They continue to CHOOSE denial. It's their "comfort zone".
Although I don't agree with a lot of Ron and Rand's views... I believe that they are the best men for the job. Rand Paul for Kentucky Senate!!! Paul/Paul 2012!!!
Just think if Ron Paul and Rand Paul both ran for President in 2012.. They wouldn't need to worry about getting TV time, as who would not talk about a father and son both running for President at the same time :P
Why would you vote for Palin when Paul is much more experience in economics and other thing that actually matter?
Think of it this way: If you needed to hire one of them for an economics job, and you looked at their resume, if you were smart, you would hire Paul, so why even vote for Palin?
But Palin is a woman and it's about time we have a woman president regardless of experience or political views. (This is sarcasm if you couldn't tell)
Ron Paul obviously did not get the R nomination and did not run with McCain, so what are you even talking about? I am watching Peter Schiff more than either of the Pauls (Ron *or* Rand). And Palin? She is way too polemic, just as Hillary was for the Dems, so even if she makes a run, she is likely to be out before she even begins.
Yeah honestly its a little creepy how similar they are, both physically and seemingly in ideals...but creepy in that nice natural way.
A thought: The MSM will continue to give Ron Paul some presence and let him collect support until his son Rand is the focus of the growing majority of libertarian-esque voters. At this point, the ultra-wealthy interests behind our government will try to co-opt him to consciously or unknowingly be their pawn.
I know huh? First time I heard him I giggled. I used to be worried about losing Paul because of his age. I am relieved his son is ready to pick up the tourch. :)
Rand Paul should move back to Lake Jackson and run for his father's seat in the congress while his father makes an independent run for the White House. Some would argue he would only siphon the votes of the GOP candidate. I think he will siphon the anti-war vote from the Democratic candidate when voters are given a chance to compare the voting records. RAND PAUL FOR CONGRESS! RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!

"On the second debate, we won the text messaging. We think that our people are smart enough to text message" WOW! Smart enough to text message? Too bad the internet means nothing when it comes to people SHOWING UP AT THE POLES! How well has he done at voting time? He is non-existent. You can't make change unless you are ELECTED. Ron Paul will never be ELECTED. Chose another candidate or take votes from the ones that have an actual chance at change.
"Too bad the internet means nothing when it comes to people SHOWING UP AT THE POLES!"
Too bad you're not smart enough to spell correctly. If you show up at one of the 'poles' to vote, you should take a jacket.
"You can't make change unless you are ELECTED."
That is absolutely untrue. Change is already afoot because of Ron Paul. We are interested in winning the WAR even if we though we might lose many battles.
eirefrance: Its hard to foresee exactly.. at least in my opinion, the consequences of Ron Paul's, or any of the candidates, policies. Deregulation and Privitization is the definition of pure Capitalism, and If you dont trust Capitalism and have faith Market then I can see why you would disagree with Ron Pauls message. The question I have is this: What is Dr. Pauls stance on Monopolies and Trust? Does he support breaking them up?
Ron Paul does have some great ideas about individual freedom, but I can't shake the libertarian/de-regulation/privatization side of him. At least citizens have some say in how the govt works. I'm sure its not what he or his devotees intend, but I feel like his ideas will open up more of our crumbling legislative system to the interests of the wealthy. Feel free to educate me.
Well I can go on and on about it but let me use a real simple example. Just look at the results we are getting out of EVERY SINGLE Govt run programs. Prices go up and quality goes down when the Govt gets involved, plain and simple.
Its time for America to grow a pair and give these fresh perspectives a chance before our dollar becomes the Peso of the new millenium.
Okay, well, when we turn over the country to private interests, we get Blackwater controversies, Halliburton ripping us all off, pollution, bridges collapsing because we cut funding so we can cut taxes (which help the rich far more than anyone else). I'd rather prices go up, to know that the country isn't falling down around me. What do you need, money to buy a bigger HDTV or a country for your children.
Both Halliburton and Blackwater got rich from big government...notably this administration.
Ron Pauls ideas make sense because he wants to ELIMINATE the income tax and not replace it with another tax.
The idea that prices just naturally go up is proof that you have been brainwashed into thinking we NEED to pay for this crap. In a truly Free market that has NO govt involvement prices go DOWN not up....just look at computers.
Halliburton and Blackwater got rich through the process of privatization, that is, the turning over of govt services to a private company. Cutting govt spending is an admirable idea, but the services we use have to come from somewhere. Clinton, a Democrat, managed to balance the budget (helped by a Republican congress).
Anyway, my question related not to prices of goods, probably the least important issue I can think of. As I said, would you rather have money for a new HDTV or a country for your children? I want to know how deregulating the govt is going to keep the Ken Lays and Chertoffs from running our country. The Gilded Age (late 19th century) was very free market and low taxes, and the country was ruled by greedy, cruel robber barons. Thats not what I aspire to.
Are you fucking kidding me? You can't even come up with anything of substance, just the tired, old sheeple argument. If you're not going to bother, at least don't bug me with your bullshit.
Let me explain for you. I am not calling you a sheeple. You are calling me brainwashed for asking questions which have answers and bringing up relevant points. That is a sheeple argument, i.e. an ad hominem attack that insults my character without actually addressing my questions and points. Take the time to answer the questions or don't come on here slinging bullshit.
Where you put your "faith" is totally irrelevant. Since you seem incapable of answering the legitimate questions I have about your "faith", I must conclude that your "faith" is not well-founded, or at least that you haven't taken the time to thoroughly study it and its effects.
What did you ask about my faith. I clearly said I put my faith/trust in the free markets and individual liberties not collectivist/progressive ideals that depend on an over reaching central government to obtain those ends.
In other words I am for the empowerment of the individual not the empowerment of the state.
One of the key reasons Clinton was able to balance the budget is that the defense budget was much smaller in the post-communist 1990s than in the 1980s. This is where Dr. Paul gets it right, so lets ALL make sure we never allow our country to be dragged into another pointless war. Please, America, remember this the next time some politician who dodged the draft tells you its unpatriotic not to support his war. Impeach Bush!!!!
If you want World PEACE, then Read and Recommend "THE ART OF PEACE" by Morehei Ueshiba, (founder of Aikido), to Everyone you Know and Love. (So Be It.)
Internet. Internet. Internet. Ron Paul needs votes from Luddites, too, and old people or whoever else doesn't know diddly about 'text-messaging.' Go Ron Paul! At long last conservatism has a real voice, and not just lip service. We need to make sure everybody gets the message with those huge wads of cash, and conduct an old-time campaign in the sunshine.
"Although U.S. Representative Ron Paul and I have coinciding opinions on a variety of important matters of national policy, his policies on national credit and currency, are not only in grave error, but are fatally at odds with what I know to be the measures which must be adopted if our republic is to survive. Under what he has represented as his views on this matter, our republic could not survive the presently on-rushing, global breakdown-crisis in progress." LHL
Well, lets just borrow a few more billion to fix everything. Watch "America, Freedom to Fascism," and "Fractional Reserve Banking" Ron Paul isn't the type who does something without thinking. None of these problems can be fixed overnight, but we need to move in the right direction to get it started.
Around a 1:20 I like it when in the back there's the tall black guy in the cowboy hat and American flag leather jacket is followed by the little white granny with big sunglasses. No other candidate can claim anywhere near the diverse support that Ron Paul has.
I like his comment, "There were no terrorists in Iraq before we got there." A statement which seems to inadvertently point out the United States as being the real terrorists.
I realize that but after viewing videos that soldiers have made, the violence they inflict on some Iraqi's is comparable to that which terrorists do. The Iraqi's might consider the US Soldiers terrorists.
I was kinda concerned that RP is rather late in his years to be firing up this much needed revolution, but im sure when the sad day comes that RP leaves us that Rand will pick up the slack.
Rand Paul is a very smooth speaker in this video, so he's obviously intelligent. I don't place too much emphasis on it, but you can tell a bit about a candidate from his children and this seems to say good things about Ron Paul. But, I don't know enough about Rand to judge him all that well.
LOL! He is so Ron Paul's son it's ridiculous. Rand should run for the Texas Senate... Seriously, he could easily win especially after all of Ron's success.

Why would you vote for Palin when Paul is much more experience in economics and other thing that actually matter?
Think of it this way: If you needed to hire one of them for an economics job, and you looked at their resume, if you were smart, you would hire Paul, so why even vote for Palin?
bradwjensen 2 years ago 14
But Palin is a woman and it's about time we have a woman president regardless of experience or political views. (This is sarcasm if you couldn't tell)
Syst3m04 2 years ago 4
??? Palin ???

Hope that doesn't happen...don't let it

Too bad you're not smart enough to spell correctly. If you show up at one of the 'poles' to vote, you should take a jacket.

Feel free to educate me.
eirefrance 4 years ago
Well I can go on and on about it but let me use a real simple example. Just look at the results we are getting out of EVERY SINGLE Govt run programs. Prices go up and quality goes down when the Govt gets involved, plain and simple.
Its time for America to grow a pair and give these fresh perspectives a chance before our dollar becomes the Peso of the new millenium.
micmart 4 years ago
Okay, well, when we turn over the country to private interests, we get Blackwater controversies, Halliburton ripping us all off, pollution, bridges collapsing because we cut funding so we can cut taxes (which help the rich far more than anyone else). I'd rather prices go up, to know that the country isn't falling down around me. What do you need, money to buy a bigger HDTV or a country for your children.
eirefrance 4 years ago
Both Halliburton and Blackwater got rich from big government...notably this administration.
Ron Pauls ideas make sense because he wants to ELIMINATE the income tax and not replace it with another tax.
The idea that prices just naturally go up is proof that you have been brainwashed into thinking we NEED to pay for this crap. In a truly Free market that has NO govt involvement prices go DOWN not up....just look at computers.
Take a chance AMERICA. Dr Paul is our only hope.
micmart 4 years ago 2
Halliburton and Blackwater got rich through the process of privatization, that is, the turning over of govt services to a private company. Cutting govt spending is an admirable idea, but the services we use have to come from somewhere. Clinton, a Democrat, managed to balance the budget (helped by a Republican congress).
eirefrance 4 years ago
Anyway, my question related not to prices of goods, probably the least important issue I can think of. As I said, would you rather have money for a new HDTV or a country for your children? I want to know how deregulating the govt is going to keep the Ken Lays and Chertoffs from running our country. The Gilded Age (late 19th century) was very free market and low taxes, and the country was ruled by greedy, cruel robber barons. Thats not what I aspire to.
eirefrance 4 years ago
Wow, are you ever brainwashed. Is sad how much faith you put into the state.
jbm0745 2 years ago
Are you fucking kidding me? You can't even come up with anything of substance, just the tired, old sheeple argument. If you're not going to bother, at least don't bug me with your bullshit.
eirefrance 2 years ago
You put your faith in the state, I put mine in the free market and individual liberties. Yet I'm the sheeple and I'm making the tired argument?
jbm0745 2 years ago 6
Let me explain for you. I am not calling you a sheeple. You are calling me brainwashed for asking questions which have answers and bringing up relevant points. That is a sheeple argument, i.e. an ad hominem attack that insults my character without actually addressing my questions and points. Take the time to answer the questions or don't come on here slinging bullshit.
eirefrance 2 years ago
Where you put your "faith" is totally irrelevant. Since you seem incapable of answering the legitimate questions I have about your "faith", I must conclude that your "faith" is not well-founded, or at least that you haven't taken the time to thoroughly study it and its effects.

What did you ask about my faith. I clearly said I put my faith/trust in the free markets and individual liberties not collectivist/progressive ideals that depend on an over reaching central government to obtain those ends.
In other words I am for the empowerment of the individual not the empowerment of the state.
jbm0745 2 years ago
One of the key reasons Clinton was able to balance the budget is that the defense budget was much smaller in the post-communist 1990s than in the 1980s. This is where Dr. Paul gets it right, so lets ALL make sure we never allow our country to be dragged into another pointless war. Please, America, remember this the next time some politician who dodged the draft tells you its unpatriotic not to support his war. Impeach Bush!!!!
