  • Slow down. I couldn't see it lol

  • awesome idea. I was thinking rocket motors but that sould work :O) Love it! USA now make an RC car. Ill help, MADE IN USA. MY FRIENDS ARE TURDS.

  • strap some wings on the thing

  • How fast will it go and what size is the motor.

  • @paintballer2818 31.7mph before i had to shut it down for run out room. I don't remember what motor was in it

  • till it sucks a tinny rock in....dun

  • @allanshoafrocks wheres the other dun? lol

  • hi just wanna ask i got a 1:10 rc buggy is it possible to connect 2 ducted fans without removing the motor? so in short I'll have 2 ducted fans and 1 brushless motor installed to my buggy? will it burn my esc?

  • @arevaloanthony Might be ok if the esc you buy will handle the amp load from 2 motors

  • I bet it has some top end!

  • Is that futaba magnum sport radio?

  • that looks like a danny thompson stadium truck to me. I still have one that i modded to fit a leo .15. lol Needs a new diff now but i drove it hard for many years before it died. Is there any chance there could be parts still avalible for one of these?

  • Yes.... a fan make wind... yuck yuck..... jeez.

  • KEWL.

  • lol

  • man I did that 10 years ago on my associated t-2 with a dewalt 14.4 battery and a manual esc, except i removed my rear bulkhead to get lower center of gravity. I used a red dot condensor fan motor I got it up to 35 with the wind on the dry lake beads outside of barstow.

  • i have that exact transmitter you are using

  • turbina elétrica

  • Very inefficient.

  • you should put 2 ducted fans that would be cool.

  • Novelty at its best. Good Job!

  • lol, its no-wheel-drive

  • where can i buy one

  • @Danielm1997 no manufacturer makes these as far as I know. I put the ducted fan unit on a vintage Kyosho chassis(one of the very first nitro cars Kyosho ever made and had converted airplane engines on them)

  • Time to make a Batmobile. :)

  • what ducted fan is that?

  • @TheKrazydreams It's a Hyperflow from Great Planes

  • wow. I only saw this today, i didn't think someone did this two years ago. we made an EDF car right before summer, based on the TT-01 using an 89mm fan and Novak HV-Pro 6.5 powertrain running on 4s. great job guys!

  • @aotsukisho It was a fun little project, I don't mess with this car anymore. Now I fly giant scale r/c planes

  • very cool. but really annoying. haha

  • try one of the neu motors on it. I would race my 1/16 mini revo against it but i blew the esc and motor

  • @backintack my esc broke on my mini revo, it toatally sucks, cuz i really want 2 race it in the park real soon

  • i like to see that fly

  • reverse?

  • No reverse....I used an airplane esc

  • try a mamba monster 9000kv motor

  • It wont fit inside the nacelle, but would be mean if it did

  • I want to do that, but fan drive is only good for very high speeds/

  • i have a large scale e revo which im working on its a prototype. I mounted 2 fans one on each side on the rollcage. My mambe 2200KV should be able to bring it at high speeds then the fan takes over and brigs it over120mph. It will be done in 2 months. i will post it soon

  • thts awsome, i felt wind through my pc screen! u have a really nice boss who would let you make tht in your freetime!

ide like to see a speed run! whats the car/motor system?

  • The chassis is a vintage Kyosho nitro car(one of the first ones Kyosho ever made). The fan unit is a 56mm hyper drive with a 5100kv brushless motor and a 3s lipo battery. I had a video of a run, but lost it!!!

  • I never had a nitro car, I bought a red cat buggy, I run my car like 3 min for one full tank of nitro gas, spend a lot or is regular.

  • that should run for 10 to 15 minutes on one tank....you might have it set to rich!!

  • how much thrust does that have?????

im trying to make one myself please help

  • It's about 2.5 lbs of thrust using a 5100kv brushless motor and a 3s lipo. the fan unit is an Electrifly hyperflow, you can the fan unit from tower hobbies.

  • is it fast

  • about 32mph, but ran out of room...had to shut it down. would probably go a little faster

  • wow almost 7,000 views seems like yesterday i filmed that at Missouri Hobby Rolla, Mo

  • Its not hard uploading videos, the videos I did edit and add music to were make in windows movie maker(free from microsoft). just watch what music you put on there otherwise YT will delete your video. they have deleted 2 of mine so far....#$%#@#%$%^.

  • That is bad as hell! I'm projecting my first fan powered car just for the hell of it, and I never thought of using a ducted system. I have two 4" diameter propellers (plastic) I'm gonna hook up directly to the rotor shafts on two small motors. I just need a 1/18 scale rolling chasis with all plastic parts, bearings in the wheels, slick tires, and nothing else, not even drive shafts, differentials, transfer case, nothing.

  • sounds cool...post a video when you get it done..my chassis is a vintage kyosho nitro touring car, that chassis is from when they first tried puttingnitro engines in cars and used nitro airplane motors on them, i still have the engine and it still runs strong

  • The only chasis I have right now is an old 1/10 scale N/A nitro car. It was my first one, the servos say ACME on them. I made it electric but geared it directly from a 540 motor I had laying around to the t-case so it was quite slow. It's just really heavy, I removed the motor, t-case, and differentials and it weighs about 23oz but the wheels are on ball bearings. I'm hoping I can get a smaller and lighter chasis, then make my first attempt at posting a video on youtube, lol.

  • you do not need brakes. it will stop when you hit something.

  • thats retarded, but cool

  • is that a hyperflow???

  • yes, its a hyperflow with a 5100kv brushless inrunner motor using a 11.1volt lipo wich would be around 51,000 rpm

  • Holy Crap...I'm running mine with a GWS EDF 55 300H Brushless motor, highest voltage...6...

  • Its pushing about 2.25 pounds of thrust....But, the bad thing about EDF's is they eat up the power fast...about 6-7 mins. tops with a 2200mah 11.1 volt lipo

  • That pretty powerful. i;m gonna get an ammo pack inrunner motor...my GWS EDF40 eats 4 AA batteries in about the same amount of time...

  • Very cool man! You should have got a video of it going top speed. Wait, is what marlonhaines said early in the comments true, that this is at a missouri hobby shop? I live in Mo, so if it is I gota see this!

  • I have some footage of it, its on the computer at the hobby shop. I'll have to post it. I have since taken the fan unit off of it and put it on one of my planes. the car was just an experiment and at one point in time I was planning on putting two fans on it, but never got to it. But that doesnt mean you cant come by the shop to see what we have. yes the shop is in rolla, mo.

  • Very nice man. So its rolla? Thats about 3 hours away from me, but only about 45 minutes away from my grandparent's house, so maybe next time we are out there I can come check you guys out. :) Got any good tracks around there? Also, it would be helpfull if you could give me an actual addres of the hobby shop so I can type it in on mapquest. Thanks man. :)

  • Thanks...you would be noisy to, if you turned 50,000 rpms....lol

  • dude that is hella tight yet impraticle, yet vey noisy for the speed,

but over all very cool 5 stars!

  • crazy fast. lol

  • thanks!!!...but it has been canabilized for a new project...twin ducted fan rc boat in the works

  • wow cool do the ducted fans reverse for kind of braking?

  • the speed controller is out of an airplane, so there is no reverse on it. I just spin it out to slow down/stop...lol

  • Cool Ducted Fan Car You Can See it At Missouri Hobby Rolla,Missouri
