  • damn maybe android and ios will be obsolete when this comes out

  • Oh, man, Ballmer is such a clown :))

  • Okay for all the people say x86 Vs. ARM are really idiots ARM - RISC (reduced instruction set computing) processor GOOD for Math and high calculation of math (ex. of a RISC processor the Intel Itanium or IBM Power Processor (PowerPC) and SPARC (BTW SPARC powers the worlds fastest super computer) x86 a CISC (complex instruction set computing) processor good for high processing of things like graphics or maybe a game (not so much math) x86-high end consumer ARM-Math and embedded DIFFERENT MARKETS

  • I wonder: Is that Windows 8 ARM nVIdia Tegra platform also running an ARM build of DirectX? (It seems to have Aero.)

DirectX on ARM might also make a handheld Xbox a possibility.

  • The efficiency that's built into ARM - due to it's mobile heritage - will really come into it's own when electricity bills become really painful. (if ARM really starts to take off on desktop/server etc.)

  • fast and smooth lol

  • Smartbook:- Imagine this with Nvidia Kal-El, 2 GB RAM, and 64 GB SSD running on me and giving 10 Hrs. of battery.........

    Netbook:- Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

  • @35parkerm you're an idiot if you think think this is the fall of intel. their processors are still many many many years ahead of ARM. in fact, it is ARM that is catching up to intel, NOT the other way around. Intel's fabrication labs are already working a brand new type of 3d transistor in 28nm with a brand new architecture. ARM is also launching 28nm chips, but they had to use the help of AMD to get it.

  • If people all start to buy ARM PC computers, eventually Apple will move to ARM thus making x86 dead killing intel.

  • @Tree6Tee you're an idiot. ARM's ceo himself said that he is shifting towards x86 instruction sets and with ibm and other engineers to make kernels for arm drivers in linux. ARM is catching up to desktop computers, not the other way around. also, all the big players have already entered this industry: amd (working with arm), nvidia tegra, and intel. it is no longer only about apple, these companies are monsters in their own disciplines and they will tear apple to shreds. (not to mention win 8)

  • @Tree6Tee Apple is already at arm with there iPods, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, and (the very old) Apple (I think) eMate or PDA i'm not sure but Apple has been int he ARM business for a very long time. BTW the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S runs a Dual-Core ARM v7 1GHz processor
