My father was a Pulitzer Prize winning musician and a good friend of Leroy Anderson and both would have been greatly impressed by this superb performance.
I played this in high school and it was so good hearing these young men do such a beautiful job to a wonderful song...My hat is off to them...Thanks for making my day!!
I am playing that exact piece for my School for Solo & Ensemble this year. It really isn't that tough. It's maybe grade 4. However, i tried playing Carnival of Venice, which is grade 7. Have fun trying to play that song! It sounds amazing if you can though. I found a video on youtube by Wynoton Marsallis who plays that. Check it out.
I'm currently playing 1st part in the trio as a senior in my high school concert band. I must say we are pretty freakin amazing for high school. i think the song is easier than it sounds to most ppl. I LOVE playing it
That was nothing short of incredible. Now I have a new regret to add to all of the others in my life: I regret not having been there to hear it in person!
@chris8496 your concert bands are MAYBE the best. I haven't heard grove city in a while so I don't have much to base that on, but saying that your marching band is the best? no...just no.
that was an amazing performance. and I'm not just saying that because I was part of it. yes, the guys got a bit carried away at the end. but it's kind of hard not to with such an exciting song. I miss winds so much.

Its a shame they rushed so much. Its is always a favourite of mine to play (also a trumpeter. Having said that though, was still a legit shot.

層次明顯、對話清晰、點音清楚,高音夠味,現場收音如CD,是我看過好幾個BUGLER'S HOLIDAY 裡最好的。
good job

Very good, except near the end. And, you're supposed to play with the band. It's a hard piece to play.
