Hi! I am trying Polyphasic Sleep and recording all my results, and how I'm feeling. I am specifically doing the Dymaxion Sleep Schedule(2hours a day) which is every 6 hours, you sleep for 30minutes. I discuss tips that I have found out from experience that can make the experience way easier to accomplish! Sorry if you call this spam, I thought that if your watching Polyphasic Sleep videos on youtube, you might want to read about my experience as well. I feel great!
that's probably a good thing that you didn't have time to play video games, and read. whenever i overeat (especially fatty foods) i tend to play video games, or read or watch youtube videos. and then what's funny is that i notice as my digestion load gets lighter i'll revert back to work, which is my peak state..
Hello, Aeia! Thank you for your informative videos. I've only just started watching. I can't find an effective way to schedule my naps/wake ups. What do you suggest? I'm sorry if you've answered that question 200 times, I can't find a FAQ. Thanks!
I've been going for 2 days now.. Umm.. When do your naps start going into REM or an actual sleep? I haven't lost consciousness once for a nap. I'm going 30 minutes every 6 hours.
The first day I was able to sleep alright, but it wasn't until the 3rd or 4th I had my first real nap. The first 5 days were pretty easy. It was 7-9 ish when it began to feel like hell.
@RockinRowdyRoberto im doing this too now on day 4 . but i never gett to sleep during the 30 minuts . its like i just lay there and think .. But i hope it happens .. eny tricks ?
But its also great 'cause when I start dozing off I can go outside and roll in the snow or go for a walk with my dog or whatever and thus get completely refreshed for a while. Anyways, I just watched through your blogs and theyve been pretty helpful, thanks for that, now Im off to sleep.
I agree with Cirque du Freak being one of the best book series, if not the best, except for A Song of Ice and Fire, but enough o that; I recently started adapting to Uberman (i think 7 (or 14 :) days ago). I live in Norway with °Cs below zero, which sucks because there isnt very much to do outside in the winter, in the night, alone. Oops I wrote too much
I've thought the same thing regarding calories & Uber'sleep 4 several months now, glad 2 hear someone else confirming that belief.
At a mid Lvl of athletic's hav found Everyman was the best could achieve & likewise without taking in adequet amounts of energy, one was tempting a full 6-8hr crashout. Would luv 2 find means of combining intensive exercise & an Uber schedule. Often wonder if key can be found through diet?
I did hardcore running at 5 miles last night and ended up sleeping a core nap of 3 hours, but I have done extensive workouts and never slept over that, except one time long ago I slept for 5 hours. ;D Dieting is not as powerful as working out because working out creates muscle which burns fat constantly.
MY BMR says 1350 to keep a steady weight without hardcore excersize. I was calorie restricting because of the diet, but cuttingout soda from my diet, I have been able to eat more actual food than I ever did before, because its scarcely the calories of the soda I had been drinking.
I love some teas but I stray away from them because I dont want or need the caffeine. When I was first adapting and for a few monthsafter, the smallest amount of caffeine would ruin my naps. I became used to living without it, so I rarely drink it and if I do its only because I cant deny a steaming cup of jasmine tea ;D
Congrats on the six month Uberman. Staying at Everyman for a while. Not much stuff on, for me, during the winter. Will go for uberman once spring turns up.
Yes the winter is a cold fiendish thing. Even right now I am wondering what I should do, trying to put off cleaning the house because its too chilly, and my heater is on at 76ish.

Thanks for the update Aeia. Keep it up... :-)
We desperately need long term polyphasic information ;-) My brother is trying to switch to polyphasic over winter break, I will see how he does.

Aeia, appreciate the feedback. What think I'm getting at is - does heavy exercise/work = Everyman?
Was Uberman for about 3wks prior to starting back at training & now can't seem to combine above with Uber schedule no matter whats tried.
Any idea's?
Btw, 5miles = Km's? we've the metric

Calorie restriction for longevity? Maybe try 1500 calories?

White tea is good, instead of soft drinks. I have coffee when I wake up and then tea for the rest of the day.
One disadvantage with my weight training is that my dinner jacket no longer fits. Will have to be careful or will have to change all my suits.
First time I attended a formal dinner in months...sheesh.
Not so sure about calorie restriction. Will just have to work on my Taiqi and Taoist immortality.
