This bike is not for you unless you're going down a mountain or large hill; as it's a little heavy to chuck about if you're into dirt jump on the flat. I even had to reduce the front sprocket to 34 teeth from 37 as this makes it a little easier to ride on the flat and uphill.

Generally though, you need to go somewhere high and get an uplift service and enjoy going fast, very fast downhill.

Brakes are Hayes with 8" rotors, very good abit noisy when hot, but they still work a dream, great stopping power. The 2008 park edition model has Avid Code, hydraulic, 8" rotors this model is also a little lighter.

I have a 2005 Vps A-line; it's so hot down hill. 9" of travel front and rear. It soaks up all the bumps and lands a dream on drop offs, dirt jumps and anything high downhill/mountain. It has Marzocchi Bomber 888 VF Forks and is limited with adjustment. How much the front forks soak up is adjusted (rebound) internally abit of a pain. Comparing it with the 2008 A-line park edition it comes with full adjustability externally, even the rear shock has bit more adjustment.
