For all the Australian posters who are here that don't seem to understand why Newt is being called a racist: you have to see all our news to understand this man's history and what he's said in the past and the FULL details of what he's said. He basically accuses blacks here of being lazy and not wanting to work and of living off of assistance from the gov but the facts are that number wise AND proportionally whites are on assistance at a higher rate. He IMPLIES a lot that appears bias in nature

He has made several references over the past few months to wanting to get Blacks to work and off food stamps and he's been explicit in naming Blacks but not ALL Americans who are living on assistance. The problem is there are far more WHITE Americans on food stamps than any other group and most people on food stamps also work so it's not like they are lazy people.

Newt Gingrich is against the Food Stamp Program, but he has failed to realize that over 40 million americans most are middle class families rely on that program to feed themselves and their families in this tough economic time, without the program they would starve.

The food stamps thing is just stupid. You know who else gets food stamps? Hill-billie red-neck trailer trash. So what?
