I am proud to be a tamilan. I love to speak in tamil without mixing any english or sanskrit words. I dont know why people in Tamilnadu proud to speak in english and mix english words when they are speaking with their own tamil people. Our people (Tamilans) should know that english is just a language to communicate with people who do not know tamil and english was born in around 13 or 14th century when tamil was born around 3000-4000 yrs before.

@aruns1999 before british ruled us, we were able to speak in pure tamil. now we are speaking tanglish. so tamil dont need to depend on any language for vocabulary as it has its own vocabulary about 400,000 words. proud to speak in tamil, english is not a prestigious matter. it is just a language. if u want to speak in english speak fully in english.

I am proud to be a tamilan. I love to speak in tamil without mixing any english or sanskrit words. I dont know why people in Tamilnadu proud to speak in english and mix english words when they are speaking with their own tamil people. Our people (Tamilans) should know that english is just a language to communicate with people who do not know tamil and english was born in around 13 or 14th century when tamil was born around 3000-4000 yrs before.

I love the song and I love ARR but I don't agree that Tamil is the sweetest language.. I think Bengali is much sweeter..(but that is my personal opinion) and as for respecting Tamilians for loving their language.. I am a Bengali.. the only race who has had a revolution for language on 21st February, the day celebrated by UNO as the International Mother Language Day today!... Proud to be a Bengali!! .. But that doesn't stop me from loving any other language...

Indian language... except malayalam. Here, am not mentioning about dedicating life, but "died" for language. And I think you need to take a look at the languages identified as "Classsical" by our Govt. I dont think anyone here compared languages like you mentioned,I think it was only u doing that.

India has chosen the national anthem in Bengali for a reason and Tagore was a great scholar in recent day Bengali. So, we do recognise the same. And last but not the least, I am a bengali descent but I would definitely say Tamil is the best. No problem even if you differ. People say, Vandharai vazha vaikum tamizhnadu.!!! No one can ever say this about 2 states - Kerala and W. Bengal. :)

@x3marrfan I attented Allah Rakha Rahman's concert in 1996 or about and no doubt his talent come from his late father R K Shekhar a well known muscian in his own right. According to Wikipedia, he was born in 1966 with the name A S Dileep Kumar and his mother's birth name before adopting muslim name of Kareema in 1989 was Kashturi.
Good luck to him .His musical genius is in integrating new electronics and traditional music .
