  • any chance of a bluetooth version?

  • @netmasta10bt It should work fine over a bluetooth PAN. You may need to specify the client IP in the server config utility that was added in v1.1.0.

  • will this work with froyo 2.2?

  • @earthangelrn2003 Yes, any version of Android 2.1+

  • I tether my honeycomb nook to my Samsung Moment for internet (it's an ad-hoc network) and so I assumed that i'd be able to use this GPS tether. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get a connection. I don't know if it's because i'm not using an infrastructure wifi network or what, but it's definitely not working. they act like they aren't connected. grr.

  • @calebmmi Version 1.1.0 will be going out very soon. Give that a try and specify the broadcast IP manually in the config app.

  • @pilotandy Thanks, but it still doesn't seem to be working. I just set them both to the same random broadcast ip?? i'm guessing that's what i'm supposed to do, but I still get "Not Recieving Location!"

  • A little more info... the recieving GPS light continually blinks on my phone, and the TGPS icon is gray in the status bar of both the phone and the nook... thanks

  • @calebmmi The icon will stay gray, that's just the color it is ;) The broadcast IP setting only matters on the server, and I would leave it on auto unless you have a good reason to set one. Is the phone near a window or does it have a clear view of the sky to get a GPS signal? Does the text "Broadcast: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" appear on the server notification bar? If not, then the server isn't sending data.

  • Just bought it, thanks for a great app.

  • Found google maps 5.0 and installed it. Tethergps works great. I purchased it.

I'm using the HTC incredible and the nook color with honeycomb.

    Thank you.

  • I do not have google navigation on my NC honeycomb and Maps FC everytime I try to use it. How did you get Navigation or is it Maps 5.2?

  • @smiley4017 I had to install maps 5.0.0. I found the apk pretty easily with a google search.

  • @MrFishtaco1 I don't have any experience with Barnacle, but I'll check it out and see what the issue might be.

  • The paid version costs $2.99 - does this mean I have to buy it twice, or can I just copy the APK over, or simply use the same google account on both devices?

  • @neurocosm You can use the same Google account on both devices, or just download the lite version on the client device. The lite version includes the full client widget.

  • @MrFishtaco1

Maybe, it need use standard (1.1.0 or 1.1.1) rooted firmware?
