Without a shadow of a doubt, these guys are the best fighters and warriors on earth. It's funny when you see the likes of Brock Lesnar and Forest Griffin getting all the credit because the are "good" at fighting. Up against any shaolin monk, they're fucked.

It was used and mastered through trial and error for many centuries, along with protecting shaolin temples from thieves and bandits and dynasty wars. Why do you think this style of fighting was used for so many years? If was really a load of crap, kung fu would have never been used for actual self-defense and life threatening situations.
@Huy805 Also, the purity of Kung Fu has been greatly watered down throughout the years (applies to many other fighting styles). I would say the closest to finding Kung Fu's true style would be understanding the life of a Monk maintaining they're original practices and spending more time away from modern society. Shaolin temples are where original techs are practiced. These places may have also lost important practices from previous masters who died and were taught by masters before them.
@Huy805 And about Kung Fu tournaments, real Kung Fu monks don't fight (unless in danger), practicing Kung Fu to seek enlightenment. Your not the only one complaining about monks not wanting to compete. China's ppl always had trouble convincing them to participate in tournaments also. With many years of mental and physical body conditioning, and being able to withstand a brick to the head, I would'nt hesitate to say that a Kung Fu master would not have any problems with woop'n sum ass in the MMA.

I'm pretty sure that if you took away the guns that official army rangers use, or any actual military specialist, that a Shaolin Monk would most certainly destroy them in a fight. Let one use one of those weapons at 2:00 and they would look like chopped-up pork. Shaolin Monks all the way.. especially how they only do this for religious purposes.

Without a shadow of a doubt, these guys are the best fighters and warriors on earth. It's funny when you see the likes of Brock Lesnar and Forest Griffin getting all the credit because the are "good" at fighting. Up against any shaolin monk, they're fucked.

should check out shi yan ming, he's the first shaolin monk to defect from china. that guy's jab is as strong as a pro boxer's power punch and his one inch punch can generate almost twice the force of a 30mph car crash.
As for guns, check out bob munden. this guy is crazy fast in drawing, cocking then shooting; can fire 2 shots in less than half a second. and he's not just fast but deadly accurate too.

real shaolin monks dont fight at UFC or generally against others ´cause they are MONKS. they train themselves for defend their monastery. but in my opinion they would beat every UFC fighter because they dont do this just as a sport. they are faster than all other figthers and they have all the techniques which are normally separated in different sports like judo and boxing.

im glad to see that there are still real pratictioners of chinese kung fu these days. Now adays there are so many "wushu"" schools, chinese kungfu has basically lost its real spirit and has been totally exploited. When I see these monks do their forms, i can seriously say I dont want to mess with them.

@Huy805 lol open your mind and stop living in a box. Kung Fu was created centuries ago for a specific purpose (defense and a healthy life). It was used and mastered through trial and error for many centuries, along with protecting shaolin temples from thieves and bandits and dynasty wars. Why do you think this style of fighting was used for so many years? If was really a load of crap, kung fu would have never been used for actual self-defense and life threatening situations.

@Huy805 Also, the purity of Kung Fu has been greatly watered down throughout the years (applies to many other fighting styles). I would say the closest to finding Kung Fu's true style would be understanding the life of a Monk maintaining they're original practices and spending more time away from modern society. Shaolin temples are where original techs are practiced. These places may have also lost important practices from previous masters who died and were taught by masters before them.

@Huy805 And about Kung Fu tournaments, real Kung Fu monks don't fight (unless in danger), practicing Kung Fu to seek enlightenment. Your not the only one complaining about monks not wanting to compete. China's ppl always had trouble convincing them to participate in tournaments also. With many years of mental and physical body conditioning, and being able to withstand a brick to the head, I would'nt hesitate to say that a Kung Fu master would not have any problems with woop'n sum ass in the MMA.
