The weederbot is a dream of mine (but i'd rather it work on large scale farms)

Here are some real problems that first need to be addressed:

It's rather hard to get computer vision to be able to see recognise (in 3d) and navigate around moving organic objects such as plants, stems, leafs, etc.

Typically the robot tries to pick a tomato and ends up grabbing a claw full of leafs infront of it, and rips the whole plant outof the ground by accident.
