Just as I said, they are becoming more devastating due to people moving into dry/parched areas. The area my Mother lives in (in Ramona) didn't have but a dozen houses in the area prior to the mid-nineties. Now, there are several dozens of homes.

When I was a kid nobody would bat an eye if a fire hit Old Julian Highway or Balck Canyon Road as nobody lives out there - different story now.

And I agree, it has nothing to do with God.

Talked to a friend out in Cali and she said that this can be blamed on environmentalists an homeowners.

I lived in San Diego for 10yrs. Loved it. After the 2003 Cedar Fire, (fire was 7 miles from my house) I sold my house and moved to Ohio. The fires happen every year, some years worse than others. I thought the Cedar fire was hell, but this one is worse, way worse.
