there was roughly 400-500 T16's produced. It was intended to contest group S but this series was band shortly after group B. The T16 used peugeots own AWD system (a stronger version of the one found in The also very limited run MI16x4) intead of the furguson system found in its INSANE brothers. Had it have contested it most likely would have been succesful as it has shown great prowess in rallying in europe. The MI16 is still extremely competitive in rallying today.

ok i'm not the best at 1/4 mile times but i'm sure the t16 should better 14.6... standard it's over 200 bhp, 245 on timed boost i belive, the le-mans i drive wouldnt be far off the 14.6 mark. (2.0 16v @155 bhp)

There is two T16's with over 700 bhp that Peugeot has produced. One for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb (probably the one you're talking about), and one that competed in the Paris-Dakar rally.
The 1046 other T16's has 220 bhp standard.
