It is certainly a wonderful tune beautifully orchestrated in the movie “Dr Zhivago".

However in this particular rendering, adding a percussive element (a persistent drum beat) to emphasize the natural rhythm already imbeded in the music is unnecessary, distracting, even somewhat irritating. But alas, it seems to be a pervasive habit for a lot of “popularized" music to which people have becomed innured, unfortunately.
