Hopefully the rumors are BS, but those of us who live local know the "park police" (couldn't get a real law enforcement job) don't give a crap about anyone. They always have attitude with law abidding citizens that are trying to enjoy the local parks/lakes. They don't care about the impact to the local economy that this event has, they know their salary is secure regardless. It's unfortunate. A young girl was hurt on the last day and it almost seemed as if the PP on scene were happy about it.
Forgot to mention, most riders had not seen the track before lap 1. Some riders had raced other classes and therefore previously saw the track, but for many it was a blind first lap. Super fun, tunnels, slippery smooth concrete walkways, sand, wood bridges and asphalt. Unfortunately, if all the chatter is correct, it may be the last year. L.A. County is a pain in the ass period. On top of that rumors have it that some of the crew had some issues on day 1. Hopefully it's all BS,
