Hi I'm not trying to be ignorant but I've googled everything, watched tons of videos on YouTube and even porn sites, and I STILL do not understand it!!! It's starting to frustrate me. I find it very interesting but I just don't understand transsexual and transgender. Is it a man that is born with a penis but wants to be a woman? Or a girly looking "woman" with a penis? I just don't understand and I'm sorry if this sounds rude... I honestly am not trying to insult anyone or anything like that. I
@xolilwindmill "a man that is born with a penis but wants to be a woman" is a man who is transexual, because he wants to change his sex. "a girly looking 'woman' with a penis" is probably referring to a man who is transexual and pre-op (hasn't undergone sex change operation). hope this answers your questions!
Very simple... Cross Dresser is someone who dresses in the opposite sexes clothing and gets well excited over it. (Trying to be none offensive here. Drag Queens dress in the opposite genders clothing for fun. (Stage / shows and or performances) Transgender is a person who feels they were born in the wrong body (Wrong Gender) and gets it corrected. This is not to be confused with Transsexuals who are people who are going thru the process of changing their sex but have not had the surgery.
@SandpiperN121PP thanks for this. I'm transgender myself, and its nice to know that more and more people are getting to know what the terms really mean.
one thing though: transgender people are those who don't get/have surgical work done. transsexuals are usually divided into pre-op and post-op, depending on whether they've had surgical work done.
the bible says that marriage is a union between one man and one woman and any sex out side of that marriage is a sin called adultery. If you don't believe me go look it up Man is born with sin nature (because of adam and eves sin in the garden of eden) some times that sin manifests in different ways sexual deviation from Gods plan is just that sin nothing more nothing less hate crime is just some made up term that has no real meaning just another socialist ploy to destroy theUS
@GxTT4 getting defensive and accusatory as opposed to attempting to be relatable while still educational is rarely a wise way to initiate intellectual conversation among people who hope to be on the same side of an issue. in your future endeavors to educate people on a topic you clearly care about, i hope you try an approach that people want to be open to, rather than an immediately argumentative one.
@GxTT4 you seem to be hung up on the idea that i made the claim that the majority of transgendered people are homosexual...which is not the case. and, though i do have my "facts straight," at this point i'm not trying to educate people, i'm trying to get people to educate themselves...which is the point of the video. it's obvious that we are both passionate about trans issues, but you need to stop assuming.
@GxTT4 a lot of people would (and should) include people who are transgendered in the "gay" community. there's a lot of things i'd like to say without a 500 character limit, but just know that if that's all you got out of the video, then i'm very sorry to have wasted your time.
Gender-neutral pronouns are tough. According to Wikipedia (the most reliable internet source ever, right?), there aren't any commonly used gender-neutral pronouns for English other that "it," "they," "them" and "one." Efforts to use words such as "zhe," "zher," "co" or "en" as gender-neutral pronouns have been largely unsuccessful on a widespread scale. Personally, I choose to use a person's name as often as possible or ask them what pronoun they prefer if I know they are transgendered.
@Lunosmt It's also good to note that they are transgender, not transgendered. I had a friend point out to me that he is a noun, not a verb. Just a useful tip I wouldn't have known otherwise. It's worth passing on. :)
Great video! I think the LGB world sometimes does not understand the T (transgender) world, and many separate them for the all encompassing Queer community. I am glad to see you as a member of a younger generation pushing people to realize discrimination against one of us, is discrimination against all of us.
A cross dresser is somebody who enjoy dressing in a manner typically reserved for the opposite sex. It is an internal enjoyment. A "drag queen or king" is somebody who PERFORMS as the opposite sex. Generally for entertainment purposes and for the world to see.
A cross dressing man would enjoy sitting home alone watching TV in the opposite genders wardrobe. A drag king or queen generally would stay in outfits typically worn by their same gender when at home.
Loved the Oprah. XD On a serious note, I'm pretty sure a crossdresser is a person who dresses like the opposite sex because they feel comfortable that way and a drag queen is a man who dresses up as a woman for entertainment value. I'm probably wrong on the crossdresser part, but I've never given it too much thought.
"Vlogtober" means you will most definitely be posting on my birthday. Whoohoo. :) And after watching this I now feel like ten times smarter from learning all of this. <3
@TheJringpfeil I'm gonna be sixteen October 12th. If you said something along the lines like "Happy birthday Bruklyn" that would just be completely amazing. :} **yeah my name's Bruklyn it's exactly like Brooklyn except with a u instead of two o's.**
If I understood it well, a crossdresser is someone (straight) who dresses like a woman because he finds it sexy and is turned on by that. A dragqueen is a man who dresses like a woman because it is fun. He "creates" a fun character with it (and it has nothing to dro with sex drive).
Hopefully, I got it right :S Good for you for promoting LGBT education!
On another note...so glad I'm gonna have a Hunter video every day to watch!!! You always make my day better :D
