With my sound turned all the way up, I could here you, but I couldn’t follow some things. Did you capture any of the barbarian cities? How many units did you lose? I followed the spread of Confucianism to the Aztecs, but I didn’t see the animation for when you founded it, right after being 1st to get Code of Laws. No need to answer, I’m just letting you know my viewing experience. It’s still fun to watch.

I traditionally play as Alexander or Pericles, and destory Monty and Isabella, ally with Persia, Mali and Egypt, and make vassals out of whoever stands in my way. I usually enable Permanent alliances and with a permanent alliance, you catapult yourself to the top of the list.

@fastfingersfunk the people aren't happy? put some soldiers in the cities to make the people feel secure incase of attacks. or you may have more buildings wich decrease happiness then buildings that increase happiness.

Not really, an interesting concept, but it would take waay too much time & this game long is enough as it is.

Now if they issued some simple quick FF-TACTICS type of battle system with the option to AUTO battle, then yeah, maybe.

@PaCo12349 no, if you played Total war, you'd know that. But you haven't so you don't get the concept.

There is a reason behind that. matches in that form, like in total war, are quite time consuming, so having that feature would be good for when you don't want the game to last a very looong time. but when you want it, it's there.

I have played it. If you're saying that you can skip the battles and have dice be rolled to decide a victor that's fine... but saying you can add it to Civ but skip it is like 'why did we even want it added'. If you're not saying that then nvm.

ok, just own those barbs, oh, and for the record, Mansa musa declared war on me when he was friendly, and that took a while to get sailing. You should explore more, your map is puny! Put units on Montzumas border, and UPGRADE them!!!

Since the large amount of unexplored land, wouldn't it have been a good choice to make a few scouts and maybe even put them on auto-explore? (I'm lazy natured..)

If you didn't notice, between 8:35 and 8:40 your relationship with Montezuma went from annoyed to cautious because you traded techs with hime. Not only did you get a tech you needed, you helped increase the likelihood that he will attack somebody else rather than you.

I can't see the hammer costs on your screen, but isn't the Palace a rather expensive bulding? Couldn't you be well on your way to building a world wonder (or even build Stonehenge or a different stone-based wonder and have hammers to spare if you improved the Stone) for about the same cost? And as I commented before, you would have gotten a nice production benefit (when you probably need production mroe than commerce, seeing oyur neighbours) leaving your capital in Istanbul...

I have to applaud your strategy. You really did need more workers by 7:40, and your high rate of expansion really was a pretty good idea given your situation...

You would have had more chariots to deal with the barbs at 6:55 if you had not thrown away chariots attacknig across a river last video...

And you should really think about running Buddhism yourself. It would greatly improve your relations with Isabella and Caesar (you can never have too god relations) and allow you to productively run civics like Organize Religion (good for the production and missionary bonuses) or Theocracy (good for the unit XP bonuses).
