Testing in a straight line doesnt mean much.. try on a curvy roads or a track, it'll probably produce different results.. Pug 206 arent made for racing anyway, if you wanna compare, make sure both cars have similar horsepower.. take 306 gti 6 for example..
I have a civic thats 17 year old now, 230.000 km on it, never had any problems with it and not will be in the present future as it seems to be. Still shiny, minimal rust (all cars rust eventually especially that age), just depends how u treat your car. Still won a couple of trophees last year with it on tuning shows, and yes i drive it daily to work.

Lame and unfair!!!! 206 136HP against VTI 160 BHP. Why not against a 206RC, or an old 309GTI 16S (it's also 160HP)? Then your VTI will only see their rear light and exhaust pipe, and I don't even imagine on a race track how owned this Honda would be.

I had civic 1.6 vtec and when i drive the 206 gti i sad shit man that fucking thing turnssssss and then i ve sold my miserable civic ... Not because it wasnt fast but because it was rediculus to drive ! ! !

Lame and unfair!!!! 206 136HP against VTI 160 BHP. Why not against a 206RC, or an old 309GTI 16S (it's also 160HP)? Then your VTI will only see their rear light and exhaust pipe, and I don't even imagine on a race track how owned this Honda would be.

Wuth equal power forget it. And in competition what did Honda win (motorcycle excluded obviously) compared to Peugeot? Some F1 titles with Senna the Renault kicked them ass. PEugeot won Rally Gr B, WRC, Paris Dakar, Le Mans, Pikes peak, Indianapolis, DTM ... and all of that several times each. Forget it with your hondas.

the fact that honda as and many jap car industries havent taken part in european rally evens over the past years doesnt make honda a bad car.Another thing you should know is that the "glorious" european racing cars never had or will have anything to do with the ones that come out of the factory..not even the set up of the car nor the engine internals

compare titles and name races that honda has never competed in? there are very few races that both makes compete in against each other.
honda has alot of titles that peugeot does not have and vice versa.
check out the history of both makes, then post again.
and the fact that peugeot had a good run in past races does not seem to filter down into their unreliable cars!

some would say lame and unfair 206 2l 190nm vs vti 1.6l 150nm.
and to think that old ass 309gti would say anything other then choke and break down on a race track compared to a vti is just funny, even if it would stay together the honda would still run circles around it!
but maybe the honda would see rear light and exhaust pipe that had fallen off the peugeot next time round.
and 206rc does have a honda rival it is the ep3 type-R and we all know how that is going for peugeot!!!!!
