  • Brian Chatton sounds so different than he did with Jackson Heights where his voice actually sounded higher although that was several different years later.

  • I remember buying this album, together with a Skip Bifferty album at the same time. I;ve still got the record cover (gatefold sleeve, translucent stained glass window effect front cover) but the record itself was turned into a bowl by softening the vinyl in hot water and shaping accordingly.

  • Think the composers were Howard and Blaikley, and Brian Chatton has a cracking voice!

  • Hands up who bought the album! I know I did!

  • there is so much beauty in this song.!

  • Does anyone know the current market value of Ark 2 on vinyl?

I have a copy in very good condition with the gate-fold sleeve & stained-glass window on the front cover

  • The Vinyl Album was a gatefold sleeve

  • Phil Collins sang on one track--Space Child which is on Youtube

  • @4a4a4b And one verse of Changes, and backing vocals all over.

  • @Mojosbigstick

    Quite right.Thanks

  • ....whow....^_^

  • The album Ark 2 is available on CD from Amazon. I got my copy about 2 months ago.

  • truly? that s a great new...thanks a lot!

  • Truly moving. Though why he's singing into a ladyshave, I can't work out! ;-)

  • I had the album ARK2 way before I even knew who Phil Collins was. This was the last song on the album. The rest was a variation on "The Planets" Brilliant

  • how to get that album...?

  • I checked online and can't find it. I'm afraid no one is going to re-release this on CD either. Just not popular enough.

God luck in your search, unfortunately my disappeared in a move a couple of yers ago or would have offered to make you a copy

  • I've seen this album on CD.

    Most likely mastered from Vinyl.

I got this album like 15 years ago and it still sounds good.

  • I still have the album.....with it's stain glass effect cover, but only just realised now that Phil Collins was in the group.....who's Phil Collins :-)

  • why phil risked and left this exellent band?who is the composer?the singer is not a joke ,he is a hell of a good vocal,he was the first singer in the band and phil the second like peter and phil.fantastic.

  • when Phil enters a band always there is a incredibly movement...

  • Wow, I never thought I would see footage of Phil Collins before he joined Genesis.

  • I m at the point of start to cry! loving Genesis I though never would like another band... this is a emotional moment I never imagine until now...wooow... Phil is an rare human being and all the bands he enjoyed were ...greatest ...

  • I heard this song 35 years ago and I've waited since then to hear it again. Breathtaking.

  • Glorious and tremendously moving. A spell-binding performance from Brian Chatton who I recall became 21 at the midnight session when this vocal was being recorded. Thanks so much for posting this.

  • Wow, how did you come across that information !

  • Glorious... pure and sublime... yet I m doubting my senses of earing...it is real or am I dreaming?

  • Excellent song - great voice. Thank you for posting.

  • This is so moving. Simple but brilliant juxtaposition of old hymn and hope for the future. Great.

  • Fantastic - but should really be heard in context as the climax of their great album, ARK 2
