Brian Chatton sounds so different than he did with Jackson Heights where his voice actually sounded higher although that was several different years later.
I remember buying this album, together with a Skip Bifferty album at the same time. I;ve still got the record cover (gatefold sleeve, translucent stained glass window effect front cover) but the record itself was turned into a bowl by softening the vinyl in hot water and shaping accordingly.
I had the album ARK2 way before I even knew who Phil Collins was. This was the last song on the album. The rest was a variation on "The Planets" Brilliant
I still have the album.....with it's stain glass effect cover, but only just realised now that Phil Collins was in the group.....who's Phil Collins :-)
why phil risked and left this exellent band?who is the composer?the singer is not a joke ,he is a hell of a good vocal,he was the first singer in the band and phil the second like peter and phil.fantastic.
I m at the point of start to cry! loving Genesis I though never would like another band... this is a emotional moment I never imagine until now...wooow... Phil is an rare human being and all the bands he enjoyed were ...greatest ...
Glorious and tremendously moving. A spell-binding performance from Brian Chatton who I recall became 21 at the midnight session when this vocal was being recorded. Thanks so much for posting this.

Think the composers were Howard and Blaikley, and Brian Chatton has a cracking voice!

I've seen this album on CD.
Most likely mastered from Vinyl.
I got this album like 15 years ago and it still sounds good.

This is so moving. Simple but brilliant juxtaposition of old hymn and hope for the future. Great.

Fantastic - but should really be heard in context as the climax of their great album, ARK 2
