We cannot sell our Rafale less than it cost to produce, when american almost do it. Even if in any engagement exercises between Rafale and F-16, the F-16 have been so lame I would be ashamed to show it again.

Typhoon has been beaten in the last ATLC in the Emirates by the Rafale in two engagement. 4-0 with same level weaponry and 3-1 with downgraded weaponry for the Rafale, so 7 eurofighter destroyed for only 1 Rafale Destroyed.

And Eurofighter is way less performant in ground attack (isn't able to attack ground anr air target in the same time) while Rafale has shot 6 AASM (Air to Ground Missile) and 3 Air Air Missile on different targets in the same time, which all hit their target.

I think that you can making a mistake. Was said officially by Dassault that Rafale RBE-2 AESA radar have performance equal if not superior than APG-79,Meteor BVR missile have range and performance at same level of AIM-120D USA aam,and Rafale WVR missile, MICA IR,have longer range than AIM-9X Sidewinder. So,with radar and IRST at least so good as Super Hornet and missiles BVR and WVR with at least so good if not better, how to be so safe about Rafale vs Super Hornet ?

Eurofighter Typhoon is also good but very costly for logistic reasons and is late in its multirole capacity. It also had some electronic problems during the swiss evaluation...

Wieso? Die Kiste ist zu teuer und kann nicht viel mehr als unsere F/A-18 C/Ds. Zudem suchen wir einen "Tiger Teilersatz", keinen F/A-18 Ersatz. Das Flugzeug sollte nicht allzu gross, wendig und günstig zu betreiben sein, trotzdem sollte die Avionik auf dem neusten Stand sein. Da wäre die Rafale optimal!

Die Deutschen haben ihren EF bei uns F/A-18 Mechanikern in Meiringen angepriesen als wäre er von einem anderen Planeten, das war kurz bevor er auf dem Rollfeld liegen blieb... :P

Das sagen sie, die Deutschen. Ich bin nur Mechaniker und kann die Schlagkraft der verschiedenen Flugzeuge nicht beurteilen, wobei man auch nicht von einer generellen Kampfkraft sprechen kann. Jedes Flugzeug hat seine Stärken und Schwächen, so ist unsere F/A-18 zum Beispiel einer der besten Dogfighter und dem Eurofighter im direkten Luftkampf teilweise sogar überlegen. Der Eurofighter wird in ein paar Jahren ein gutes Flugzeug sein, zur Zeit ist er noch nicht ausgereift denke ich!

Die Indienststellung des EFs fand 1996 statt, die unserer SF-18 C/D 1990. Die Avionik in unseren SF-18 C/Ds ist fast vollständig auf Serie E/F Stand. Das FCS-OFP (Betriebssystem Flugsteuerung) wurde von der Super Hornet übernommen und angepasst. Die Zelle wurde von RUAG modifiziert um höheren G-Kräften stand zu halten. Die veralteten AIM-9P wurden vor einem Jahr gegen die neuste...

Generation AIM-9X ausgetauscht, eine 2.5-4.7 Mach schnelle, bildverarbeitende und Helmvisier gekoppelte Lenkwaffe ähnlich der IRIS-T des Eurofighters, nur schneller...

Der Typhoon hat in Serie noch nicht einmal ein JHMCS (Helmvisier) was heutzutage fast unabdingbar ist... Auch der Anstellwinkel ist noch begrenzt. An der Kiste müsst ihr noch etwas arbeiten!

Vielen Dank für die Triebwerksdaten, nur sagen die meines Wissens nicht sehr viel über die Kampfkraft eines Jets aus!

Der EF hat gegenüber der Hornet zwei Vorteile: Deutlich mehr Schub und 9-G Manövriarbarkeit über Mach 1. Diese beiden Faktoren fallen aber nur bei einem Dogfight ins Gewicht welcher der letzte Ausweg darstellt! Zudem ist die SF-18 C/D bei niedrigen Geschwindigkeiten aufgrund der High-Alpha Fähigkeit trotz weniger Schub wendiger als der EF, das wurde bewiesen!

Ich denke die Entscheidung wird zu Gunsten der Rafale ausfallen, die bieten der Schweiz auch die beste Zusammenarbeit an. Luftbetankungen machen unsere 18er ja bereits jetzt über Ihrem Luftraum. Wir werden es sehen...
