Well, what can you say, he wasn't Toscanini's favorite tenor for no reason. Just finished watching the entire documentary, thanks for posting this. Learned a lot about his early life I didn't know before.
I Feld in love with his voice and performance when i was 14, as the Duce in Rigoletto, on the famous recording on the Met, 1945 I think. Great artist!
This is a really great biography. I bought it awhile ago. I only wish they would have showed the entire black and white Bluebird of Paradise clip, along with the Ed Sullivan footage. Thanks for posting this on YouTube!
