Some wealthy people had servants, and others had their children perform daily chores(something you wouldn`t understand). Africans did make huge strides in science and technology. When we are ill, the medicines we take don`t give us "side effects" unlike yours`. Industrial revolution is a recent occurrence, and it has black, blood and sweat as well.

Yes Africa was the birthplace of mankind about 250,000 years ago but for 9/10 of that time we only existed as tribal hunter gatherers which is why we migrated all over the world following prey. It was the Sumerians and Europeans that first began to settle into farming communities about 15-12,000 years ago and then on to civilization about 8,000 years ago.
