  • @7biwr thank you.

  • @7biwr

I thought it was written in the 20's era, too.

    I think it's just the style. (:

  • Nice job man

  • @Hyminym Thanks.

  • This is good but too camp and gay for the style of this song, it doesn't do it justice, less of the trilling please, it was never written like that!!

  • @dusty10456 Sorry you didn't like it, but you seem to be out-numbered here! LOL

  • @allendale1962 Firstly, I think that was very good, Mr Dale. Secondly, and this is directed to @dusty10456 I would like to see yo do better.

  • @bakelitetim I think you mean hear don't you?

As you grow up you will realise that constructive criticism is acceptable to most people, Mr Dale replied to me that I am outnumbered, correctly so, but I would still love to hear him play it without the twiddly bits!

  • *brain melts*

I... there are no words in my vocabulary I can use to describe how amazing this is.

  • @Chocothnda LOL... thanks.

  • Man, this brings me back to my childhood! Love it! C:

  • @dorkyforever Thank you.

  • FOR ALL PEOPLE UNSURE OF THE SONGS ORIGINS! HERE THEY ARE!

The song was originally written in 1899 by Joseph E. Howard and Ida Emerson. It was then in the same year recorded by Arthur Collins.

    The original recording

  • @roguepenguin1994 Thanks for the up-dated info.

  • This is Spectacular, but the song is from 1899 not the twenties..

  • @Nen783 Thank you for the new information!

  • Does anyone know who sings the song? Cause I remember watching the frog singing the song when I was younger....xD

But I'm pretty sure a frog didn't record this.

  • @ChikenMuffinz I am not 100% sure ,but I thnk Al Jolson sang it in the Bugs Bunny Cartoons.

  • @ChikenMuffinz Bill Roberts sang it for the original 1955 cartoon

  • Fantatisc !!

  • This is AMAZING! I love listening to this!

  • @Britishfilms101 Thanks.

  • that's great. i like it when music is played quickly like that when there is no singing. when someone is singing during a piece of music, i like to have a slower playing.

  • Thanks.

  • You are incredible!! Thanks for posting

  • Thanks

  • Bellissima! In English: Wonderful!

  • thanks!

  • Amazing :)

  • thanks

  • Your memory version follows the original score perfectly.

This was first put out on Edison disk in 1899. sung by Arthur Collins.

    An important milestone in music.

Singing about telphone use on the new media of recorded sound was a very hi tech and exiting sound for the promising new century.

Cars planes and radio shows were still dreams when this song was born.

You cought the spirit in your rendition.

    Well played.

  • Thanks

  • Thanks so much for sharing this! I have always loved this song (Thanks to the Frog on Bugs Bunny) and I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to you play. Great Performance, looking forward to more!

  • Thank you! And FROGGIE says Thanks and listen to DOWN YONDER!!

  • excellent!

  • thanks

  • Bloody Brilliant! I adore ragtime piano but it seems to me like very few people play in that style anymore. Finding this video--nay, finding your channel--is like striking YouTube gold for me.

I sing in a barbershop quartet and this style is at the heart of many of our most valued arrangements. Incidentally, listening to it tends greatly inspires me.

  • Thank you.

  • Cool!

  • thanks

  • I love that song. Great playing!
