ive talked smack on here but now im done with it bloggers and ppl on here are the dumbest idiots i have seen! U can be five years old and have a computer and type all day long and thats what is goin on o ya go vols!
ive been reading and watching a lot of stuff about kiffin, his staff, and how practice is going and i have confident feeling about next season. im not saying that we are going to beat florida or alabama's ass or anything like that. all that i know is that we have one of the best staffs in college football, period. i actually go to ut and i went to high school with a guy thats on the team, and he says that he has never worked harder in his life, and that they feel better as a team.
hey, tell me something. doesn't Tennessee have a football team too? see, I'm curious because you seem so caught up on other teams in the SEC, I figured maybe Tennessee decided to cut their football program before Lame Kitten can run it into the ground. whoops, looks like it may be too late for that one.
You expect me to talk smack about my own team? That's kind of an odd thing to ask. Of course, most Alabama fans are split into the groups that want to slit their wrists over the loss to Utah and the groups that are still slobbering all over Saban's cock because of his recruiting, so you guys are used to talking smack about your own team.
haha no sir, I did not ask you to talk smack about your own team. I said you need to concern yourself with your own team, seeing as how Mr. Kiffen has his work cut out for him. swing your judgemental pendulum back towards yourself and your team's situation, and realize you have housecleaning of your own to take care of, and stop concerning yourself with other teams in the SEC.
How should I concern myself as of right now? Should I head on over there and see if mr. Kiffin needs my assistance? If you don't believe in smack talk after a down year, why are you a sports fan at all?
1. allow me to point out you were the one who said, and I quote, "You expect me to talk smack about my own team? That's kind of an odd thing to ask."
and secondly, my point was that if you're going to concern yourself with any team other than the one you support, yet make excuses as to why you shouldn't concern yourself with your own team, you should make up your fuckin mind. are you a Vol fan, or a Bama hater? either way, find some class.
What the hell, being a Bama hater comes with being a Vol fan, and vice versa, Tennessee and Alabama are rivals, that comes with the territory. You don't talk about your own teams' deficiencies to a rival team's fans, you talk about the problems the other team has, haven't you ever engaged in some form of smack before? It ain't brain surgery.
yes, Vol fans are Bama haters, but not all Bama haters are Vol fans. I believe talking smack is pointless. I present facts about my team and point out faults in the logic of people who seem more concerned with a rival team than they are with their own. reading your comments about my team and my coach lead me to believe you're scared of what he may be able to accomplish.
Pointing out the facts about last year's team in college football is meaningless. The landscape of college football these days changes too fast to only bring up the facts about last year. I'd rather make a rivalry feel like a rivalry than get into a technical, on-paper argument that won't mean anything when the season starts, anyway. As for the "fear" of Alabama, I fear that the game will be boring as hell after watching our offense all year and your offense against Utah with bitchtits going NFL
dude, if you could teach me how to point out facts from the upcoming season, that'd be awesome! lol I just dont get into talking smack. I think it's classless. you wont even see me talk shit after a win. I'll celebrate, then I'll move on to next week. and I'm not necessarily referring to YOU being scared of Alabama so much as the SEC period. Saban was "turned in" to the NCAA 23 times for recruiting violations in his first 30 days. none were actual violations. nothing but pure fear.
I'm gonna stoop to classlessness and talk smack. you're right... Utah and Florida have a right to talk shit. however, you do not. need I bring up 41-17 and 29-9 and the fact that Bama is 2-0 vs Tenn with Saban at the helm? when your team beats my team, talk shit all you want. until that happens, take your whooped ass home and stop drawing attention to your obvious fear of Alabama, although it's nothing to be ashamed of. it appears to be running rampant throughout the SEC.
You beat Fulmer's dying gasps a couple of times. Don't forget, Saban started out gagging against Tennessee (and other places, of course). And no one is afraid of Alabama with a new quarterback, new tailback, and new, bitchtits-less offensive line. Utah destroyed your offense when you weren't sporting the best line in the country, and now your offense is going to rebuild from the ground up. We have work to do, and one of the best offensive minds in college football to do it.
Lane Kiffin is garbage and Florida is going to DESTROY them this year and Urban isnt going to let up in the least. With Tennessee's inexperience uhh everywhere id be suprised to see them end with a .500 record..
It's funny how insecure Florida fans are acting like now, you'd think they were Georgia fans right now. Of course UT sucks right now, Kiffin only has Fulmer's team from last year to work with. Of course, seeing as how Kiffin can get the best recruits in the country at any time from any team, it won't take long for UT to be back in force. Meanwhile, Tebow and most of Florida's defense are gone next year. This time next year, it will be an even field.
I like how everyone is saying Tennessee is going to suck next year when UT fans aren't denying this at all. It's kinda funny because it makes fans of other teams sound a little shook, as if they're afraid that UT's going to become better than it's been under Fulmer in the last decade.
Also, Bama fell to Utah in what was supposed to be "the" year. Florida fans have room to talk. Bama fans, with a new quarterback and some work to do on the offensive line, don't have room to talk.
You say UT has no QB. That isn't good in the SEC. The SEC is loaded with the best defenses and if you don't have a QB that can throw on those defenses, then it doesn't matter how good your defense is.
Florida has a fast and powerful defense with a Heisman QB on offense.
Alabama has a hard hitting defense with a little more speed this year and a QB that is very accurate.
Ole Miss has a strong defense with a strong offense. Houston Nutt can put up points when needed.
Kiffin's ability to recruit top talent can't be denied, he took players that Florida, Miami, and LSU had been recruiting for an entire year within a few weeks. Sure, he's pissing people off along the way, he wants the rest of the SEC to be pissed and he wants to be controversial, clearly it's working for his recruiting. How he does leading a team to victory is unknown up to this point, but he's certainly gotten what he's wanted so far.
I agree he did very well in a short time period. If he could keep that up over an entire year he would have a top 3 class every year. His only problem is now...Spurrier, Saban, Meyer, Richt, and even Miles are all pretty much after him. They will do anything and everything to make sure his life is miserable. I am not necessarily talking about "negative recruiting", but Meyer has a degree in Psychology so he will figure something out. Kiffin just made himself everyone's target.
What kind of idiot really thinks that the different high-profile coaches are out to get each other, as if they really only point out a few games on the calender that they decide they need to win by big margins. Kiffin's a target just like every other coach in any level of competitive sports is a target.
When someone trys to publicly humiliate you that makes it personal. True every coach wants to win every game by big margins, but apparently you aren't familiar with Meyers style of play. Calling timeouts at the end of the game to rub in a score for payback from an endzone celebration. Kicking field goals at the end of the game against Miami for recruiting issues between Meyer and Shannon. Meyer doesn't do those teams to people he respects, just guys that make him look bad.
Meyers's style of play is to put as many points on the board as possible against every team he plays. He kills everyone because he doesn't want to be the one-loss team that doesn't get to play in the big dance. It isn't whether the issue is "personal" or not, he does that because he wants the computers to rank his team higher.
I agree he wants to kill everyone. I never said anything about running up the score. Meyer comes up with more creative ways to make it personal to the other coach, as already discussed.
Meyer's intentions are to give his players playing time. The season is only 12 games long (sometimes 13), most players only get to play 4 years, often there is a lot of depth, etc.. I don't see how he was "rubbing it in" against Miami, being that they only scored 20-something points, and Miami was actually quite good during that game. Against Georgia, YES, he definitely was rubbing it in, but why is it okay for Richt to rub it in with an endzone celebration but Meyer not with calling a timeout?
Compare Kiffin to Auburn's new coach. Kiffin talked a bunch, pissed other teams off, pissed some of Fulmer's new recruits off, and ended up putting together a great group of his own recruits while taking top players from other schools (including Bryce Brown) and introducing standards for the football team that Fulmer never held. Chizik played nice, said nothing, and stockpiled a bunch of players no major DI-A school was recruiting or players that probably won't qualify academically.
Kiffin is like the punk kid who's daddy bought him the starting qb job in HS who now thinks the can start for Spurrier. Tennessee is sitting in a Bermuda Triangle of nasty programs in Florida, Alabama and Georgia from which Mr. Kiffin may not emerge. A couple of pastings will have the UT faithful riding him harder than a fat kid rides a pony at a county fair.
I'm an Alabama fan and I am doing something I never thought I would do. I am choosing between Auburn and Tennesee.
I want Auburn to beat Tennessee. I want everyone who plays Tennessee to beat Tennessee. If you're a new coach coming into the SEC, you don't run your mouth. Auburn's new coach hasn't ran his mouth and guarantee that he will last longer than Kiffin. You don't piss off a 2 time National Champion coach.
word son...i'm a Gator fan and i want 'Bama to just wreck UT's shit up!!! i got tix to the UT game and i can promise you my voice will be gone after that game is over. welcome to the SEC Lame... you're about to get jacked up!!!
The 20 years I have been alive I have never pulled for either team in any game. I'm not actually pulling for Auburn, I just want to see Tennessee get beat by all the SEC teams they play. Cheering for Auburn is like licking dog shit.
Yall have no idea what you're about to run into, but Monte Kiffin's defense is gonna blow all you tabacker spittin fools off your tractors. It's gonna be hilarious. UT's qb's are trash, but it won't matter cause they have at least 4 rbs that will blowin through the line before your defenses even react .I despise Tinurshe as much as any of them, but the deal is sealed and there's nothing any of you hick- ghetto wannabes can do about it. Tennessee is about to unleash hell down there.
ROFL, either you are being very sarcastic or.....you are a typical Tenn. fan who is counting all his chickens before they have hatched. Did you hear Gruden (A good friend of Monte's) was talking at a banquet and stated that the "Tampa 2 Defense" would work against the spread. He then went on about a 10 minute explanation as to why. As far as your RBs, your best RB produced 37 yards total on 14 runs last year, not a big concern. Our D is pretty good at reacting so they are hoping you try :)
I don't even know what you're saying here, are you expecting Tennessee's offense to attempt to move the ball by either running or passing against your team? Because that's usually the object of the game, anyway. I'd kinda expect your D to expect Tennessee's offense to attempt to move the ball, otherwise there wouldn't be much point to playing football.
1) There is no fix to making a false accusation of cheating by an SEC head coach. He has to own it for the rest of his life. Period. 2) Spurrier didn't make an "accusation" - he asked a question. BIG difference. If kiffin had done that it wouldn't have been such a big deal. Get it? 3) kiffin won't last 3 years at Tennessee and I would hope the Vol Nation wouldn't want him to. He's already disgraced the program as he did in Oakland 4) Won-Loss records aren't the only measurement of a good coach!!
You could have just said four. Clearly you're not looking at it from the right point of view if you don't think the number one issue for Vol fans is the W's. Tennessee has been second-tier for most of the last decade, and has clearly fallen behind the class of the SEC. If they have an extremely antagonistic coach that will jump on others like stink on shit just for being there, and he brings Tennessee back to the top, no one will care what mean things he says, not Vol fans, SEC fans or ESPN.
the big deal is respect, he aint win a game in the sec yet, im all for him trying to motivate the fan base but do it the right way on the field. then again UT aint got no swagga so i kinda understand.
btw i wish nukesse the best i wish he would have made 561 pride by staying home but i cant blame him UF got about 4players that will compete for the percy role so go to UT and start .. and marlon brown is the real deal i saw him play at the under armour game..
Also don't see the big deal about Kiffin's experience. He ran the offense practically by himself at USC and was also a top recruiter. He's young, but he's done all that can be done without being a head coach in college, and he was certainly a better option than someone like Chizik.
actually norm chow was the OC when palmer and leinart won their heisman trophies. kiffin is an idiot for calling out coaches who have won national titles.
why should he have to "target" anyone? i guess he's frustrated that he got marlon brown away from him. it's not like richt wasn't a great offensive coordinator either... look what he did at FSU. the difference is that richt is a proven winner in SEC play (28-4 in road games) and kiffin is not as a HC in any league.
He's trash talking, what's the big deal? It doesn't hurt anyone and doesn't really do anything except invent non-stories like this one.
Also not sure about the MB hype. Dude would have signed with USC months ago if he didn't bomb so hard during that workout. He might be great, but I'm sure Tennessee is happy with the guys they stole from Florida and LSU.
Trash talking is one thing and accusing a coach of cheating is another. Aside from the fact he broke an SEC policy himself by doing so. He's a disgrace to the program before even coaching his first SEC game. Tennessee deserves better and you know it.
Waaaahh. If he beats Florida three years from now when his recruits are playing then no one will care what SEC policies he breaks. Spurrier certainly didn't get much of a reaction when he accused Kiffin of cheating less than 48 hours into his new job. Winning will fix everything, the only thing he has to do is recruit his own talent and win ball games. Can't do any worse than Fulmer last year.
UGA hasn't been a major competitor for years. They got on a roll the season before last and ended up ranked very highly at the end of the year, but they haven't really been in competition for a national championship in over a decade. Tennessee didn't get there many times, but they used to be in regular competition, at the very least for the conference. Kiffin can't do any worse than Fulmer has done since winning it all.
Gaytur fans whine and cry all you want, make fun of Tennessee's fight song, it helps hide the fear. Enjoy 2009 it's your last year with C.U.M. he will be moving on to Notre Dame and you will go through the pain of rebuilding just like Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee has.
Damn, ESPN sucks. How can they not compare this to Spurrier's comments regarding Kiffin's activities? It's trash talk and people are talking about it like Kiffin's been running around the UF campus flashing people. I'm glad Richt's able to accept a little banter, because I'm not sure if they can fit every SEC coach, fan, and news analyst into the wambulence at the same time.
Nice, clearly PC comments regarding the real nature of the recruiting process, everyone in their damn minds knows that SEC recruiting is as nasty and dishonest as it gets, but he avoided the chance to look like every other imbecile that jumps on the new guy's nuts without commenting on the exact same things being said by Spurrier about Kiffin earlier when he first got the job. UGA fans are the worst of the worst, but they have a classy head coach.
Georgia fans aren't the worst of the worst, they are right nice people. Go visit Gayturville and you will find the real scum of the SEC. Jorts, Mullets, cheap beer, cheap cigarettes and trailer trash.
I pull for Tennessee and whoever is playing Georgia. I believe Kiffin and co. are going to do fine in knoxville and have the guts to buck up with these ego maniac coaches. I also respect coach Richt and believe he is a great person, coach, and christian. He's pretty much tellin everybody to relax and bringing to attention the competition that is involved in recruiting. Thats all
while tennessee had it's 2nd losing season in the past 4 years. i don't really understand you ragging on UGA, but do you really think kiffin will be a better coach than fulmer? the guy is not only unproven in SEC play but as a college head coach.
sorry but i think people's expectations were just too high this year, and 19 season-ending injuries can really hurt depth on the defense and offensive line. i think it's actually kind of amazing that they still won 10 games despite losing several key players for the season (sturdivant, owens, ellerbe, southerland).
Remember to look at the big picture. Things will certainly change when Tebow graduates and Meyer moves on to coach at Notre Dame. If you don't think that's a possibility then you're quite delusional. Guess who is laughing then when UF has to rebuild with a new coach.

The 20 years I have been alive I have never pulled for either team in any game. I'm not actually pulling for Auburn, I just want to see Tennessee get beat by all the SEC teams they play. Cheering for Auburn is like licking dog shit.
EastSideReaper 2 years ago
Yall have no idea what you're about to run into, but Monte Kiffin's defense is gonna blow all you tabacker spittin fools off your tractors. It's gonna be hilarious. UT's qb's are trash, but it won't matter cause they have at least 4 rbs that will blowin through the line before your defenses even react .I despise Tinurshe as much as any of them, but the deal is sealed and there's nothing any of you hick- ghetto wannabes can do about it. Tennessee is about to unleash hell down there.
Palmer4president 2 years ago
ROFL, either you are being very sarcastic or.....you are a typical Tenn. fan who is counting all his chickens before they have hatched. Did you hear Gruden (A good friend of Monte's) was talking at a banquet and stated that the "Tampa 2 Defense" would work against the spread. He then went on about a 10 minute explanation as to why. As far as your RBs, your best RB produced 37 yards total on 14 runs last year, not a big concern. Our D is pretty good at reacting so they are hoping you try :)
GitRDone83 2 years ago
I don't even know what you're saying here, are you expecting Tennessee's offense to attempt to move the ball by either running or passing against your team? Because that's usually the object of the game, anyway. I'd kinda expect your D to expect Tennessee's offense to attempt to move the ball, otherwise there wouldn't be much point to playing football.
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
Hahahaha!!!!! Yeah, okay. Tennessee's opponents are: National Champs Florida (at FL), SEC West Champs Alabama (at AL) and Ole Miss (at Ole Miss)
Florida: National Champs
Alabama: SEC West Champs (who are reloading)
Ole Miss: Who is said by many experts to be the team to beat in the West.
Don't forget about Georgia, Auburn and UCLA (who beat Tennessee last year)

1) There is no fix to making a false accusation of cheating by an SEC head coach. He has to own it for the rest of his life. Period. 2) Spurrier didn't make an "accusation" - he asked a question. BIG difference. If kiffin had done that it wouldn't have been such a big deal. Get it? 3) kiffin won't last 3 years at Tennessee and I would hope the Vol Nation wouldn't want him to. He's already disgraced the program as he did in Oakland 4) Won-Loss records aren't the only measurement of a good coach!!
Bazzaland 2 years ago 2

561em1 3 years ago
Are you speaking English?
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
Also don't see the big deal about Kiffin's experience. He ran the offense practically by himself at USC and was also a top recruiter. He's young, but he's done all that can be done without being a head coach in college, and he was certainly a better option than someone like Chizik.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
actually norm chow was the OC when palmer and leinart won their heisman trophies. kiffin is an idiot for calling out coaches who have won national titles.
captkool1447 3 years ago
And Kiffin was their OC when they had the most productive offense in NCAA history at the time. Who should Kiffin target, Richt?
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
why should he have to "target" anyone? i guess he's frustrated that he got marlon brown away from him. it's not like richt wasn't a great offensive coordinator either... look what he did at FSU. the difference is that richt is a proven winner in SEC play (28-4 in road games) and kiffin is not as a HC in any league.
captkool1447 3 years ago
Just wait till Mr. Brown meets MR. Berry that should be a match up.
chevyowner02 3 years ago
He's trash talking, what's the big deal? It doesn't hurt anyone and doesn't really do anything except invent non-stories like this one.
Also not sure about the MB hype. Dude would have signed with USC months ago if he didn't bomb so hard during that workout. He might be great, but I'm sure Tennessee is happy with the guys they stole from Florida and LSU.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
Trash talking is one thing and accusing a coach of cheating is another. Aside from the fact he broke an SEC policy himself by doing so. He's a disgrace to the program before even coaching his first SEC game. Tennessee deserves better and you know it.
Bazzaland 2 years ago 3
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
I think Kiff is makeing some people scared in the SEC.
chevyowner02 3 years ago
Ashamed is more like it....integrity is a character trait obviously absent.

ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
Gaytur fans whine and cry all you want, make fun of Tennessee's fight song, it helps hide the fear. Enjoy 2009 it's your last year with C.U.M. he will be moving on to Notre Dame and you will go through the pain of rebuilding just like Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee has.
cultofthumpers 3 years ago
Damn, ESPN sucks. How can they not compare this to Spurrier's comments regarding Kiffin's activities? It's trash talk and people are talking about it like Kiffin's been running around the UF campus flashing people. I'm glad Richt's able to accept a little banter, because I'm not sure if they can fit every SEC coach, fan, and news analyst into the wambulence at the same time.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
Nice, clearly PC comments regarding the real nature of the recruiting process, everyone in their damn minds knows that SEC recruiting is as nasty and dishonest as it gets, but he avoided the chance to look like every other imbecile that jumps on the new guy's nuts without commenting on the exact same things being said by Spurrier about Kiffin earlier when he first got the job. UGA fans are the worst of the worst, but they have a classy head coach.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
Georgia fans aren't the worst of the worst, they are right nice people. Go visit Gayturville and you will find the real scum of the SEC. Jorts, Mullets, cheap beer, cheap cigarettes and trailer trash.
cultofthumpers 3 years ago
I pull for Tennessee and whoever is playing Georgia. I believe Kiffin and co. are going to do fine in knoxville and have the guts to buck up with these ego maniac coaches. I also respect coach Richt and believe he is a great person, coach, and christian. He's pretty much tellin everybody to relax and bringing to attention the competition that is involved in recruiting. Thats all

Yeap played for the SEC championship last year UGA?
chevyowner02 3 years ago
while tennessee had it's 2nd losing season in the past 4 years. i don't really understand you ragging on UGA, but do you really think kiffin will be a better coach than fulmer? the guy is not only unproven in SEC play but as a college head coach.
captkool1447 3 years ago 2
I think you answered your own question.
chevyowner02 3 years ago
yeah, so i wouldn't really call uga a "pretinder" when ut has a joker of a coach.
captkool1447 3 years ago
And UGA had who befor Richts????
Started out ranked #2 all the talk hype about a NC and nothing. Dont get me wrong I dont hate UGA just stating the facts.
chevyowner02 3 years ago
sorry but i think people's expectations were just too high this year, and 19 season-ending injuries can really hurt depth on the defense and offensive line. i think it's actually kind of amazing that they still won 10 games despite losing several key players for the season (sturdivant, owens, ellerbe, southerland).
captkool1447 3 years ago
This comes from a team that was 5-7 last year, are you fucking retarted?

This comes from a team that was suspose to play for a NC. Starting the season ranked #2 and nothing to show.I think you are fucking stupid.

Remember to look at the big picture. Things will certainly change when Tebow graduates and Meyer moves on to coach at Notre Dame. If you don't think that's a possibility then you're quite delusional. Guess who is laughing then when UF has to rebuild with a new coach.
