Girafarig sets up subsitute, switches out to shroomish, who gets protected by substitute to set up a free leech seed. Switch to pineco who has the ability sturdy, surviving every OHKO attack with 1 HP. Leech seed restores entire HP next turn. Repeat.

In the meantime, Pineco sets up spikes + toxic spikes.

Basically a stalling team.

Although so many users are admiring AeroValkyrie's cleverness, I've found out that he was just pretty lucky !

Cynthia only used one Full Restore. If you check the relevant entry on serebii.net ("The strongest Trainers"), however, you'll see that she has actually four Full Restores. Had Cynthia used the remaining three , Ducklett wouldn't have been able to substall Eelektross without Poison for so long and the strategy would have collapsed. Nice try but it seems Cynthia just wanted to be kind.

Wait... I see what he's doing. He's using an move (leech seed I think?) which drains a percent of the opponents health. He then switches to a Pokemon with an ability which allows them to survive any single attack with 1 hp. Because the Pokemon has only 12 HP that tiny percent of the high level Pokemon's HP fully regens him every turn rendering the level 1 Pokemon invincible to single attack moves regardless of how powerful. That is ****ing brilliant cheese!

@ShatteredGrace15 He uses substitute to make Shroomish survive long enough to lay down a leech seed (which does enough damage to fully heal a level 1) then switched to Pineco which has the Ability 'Sturdy' which allows it to survive with 1hp if it had full hp at the time of the attack, so this almost creates an infinite loop that means the opponent can almost never win.

It's not like before where they both gained the same amount... Now 2/3 will go to the lower leveled Pokemon and 1/3 will go to the higher leveled Pokemon.
