Fake! The quality on everything is poor but the one thing that gave it away big time like u didn't even have to keep checking everything else was the fact that the pull tabs on the bottom used to adjust the waste did not say the north face on it... All north face jackets with flat pull tabs say the logo on it... They put the logo on the buttons... The pull tabs on the top pockets but not the bottom pull tabs? NO! Fake!

that's a really old tag--like early 2000's. definitely not a 2010 mcmurdo. the "legit" tag is nothing that i've ever seen in a coat before. the S06 would refer to it being "spring 2006"--typically the north face doesn't carry the mcmurdo in spring/summer. the dead give away that it's fake is the stitching on the logo--an authentic north face logo would not have threads connecting any letters. - tnf employee

Rule number 1 with The North Face Jackets...you're paying for quality, so if its cheap, its for a reason. Only buy from reputable dealers. If you can't afford to pay that much, don't buy The North Face.

Been awhile since you posted this so I suppose you already have your answer . . . that it is fake. Anytime you suspect one is fake, simply take it to your nearest reputable Authorized North Face Dealer whom will be cited on the North Face Site and ask them if your item would be covered by North Face's Lifetime Warrantee. They will quickly inspect it and give you the Good or Bad news

im suggesting its fake. test the warmth. if you had a north face before it was probbably really warm.

do a really close inspection of all the stitching, the fakers leave shoddy workmanship and loose bits, any plastic pull taps or cord locks with unfinished look.

Should have high quality zippers. I got ripped off by the little cheaters, best of luck.

Unfortunately you indeed did buy a fake jacket. next time better luck (try shopping in a real shop when buying rather expensive items). For now, why not go into lawsuit with the seller on Ebay?

hi there.have to say it looks like a really bad fake.bought counterfeit polo shirts couple years back from ebay and returned them leaving honest feedback to warn others.the seller took this personally and attacked me for lying about her products! these people need to be prosecuted.there are good sellers on ebay but now i avoid high value items....if it sounds too good to be true,it usually is.best of luck and get your money back.

What I don't understand is how dumb people are and leaving all kinds of good feedback! She refunded me quickly and even return shipping. I wish the customs people would go raid her house. At our local swapmeets the people with the fake stuff get it all taken from the swapmeet and never see it again. The government comes in quickly and swoops it up before people can pack it back into their vans
