Where is place asked? How humorous! No place for such a question The analyst amongst us said: They choose death for the sake of not dying They die fighting sleeping The linguist amongst us said: This camp of ours is definitively falling What is that they seek from us? Athens air port was changing population Daily But we remained seats above seats Await the sea! Air port of ATHENA; HOW MANY YEARS?

As much we want to ignore hateful irresponsible comments made by little ignorant closed-minded low-lives such as mabudib, PARQ03, lovelyheart001, and similar other losers, against one of the Arabs' greatest, we simply cannot let this venomous garbage go unanswered. For the record, we loved and revered everything Darweesh stood for and vehemently argue that it is entirely irrelevant if he was a communist or even an atheist, for that matter!

Instead of coming together to eulogies the passing of a legend, some opportunistic parasites have chosen to cheaply attack Darweesh, post mortem in absentia - indeed, the very definition of shameful cowardice.

The man has done so much to further the cause of Palestine, and that of the Arabs at large that all honorable people should rise to his defense.  Just to be clear, Mahmood Darweesh wrote and published wonderful work that was worthy of being translated into more than twenty different world languages -- honestly, how many Arab writers belong to that prestigious club and can make that claim?

تعد هذه القصيدة احدى اكثر القصائد بلاغة وعمقا في التعبير عن اشكالية الهوية عند الشعب الفلسطيني

كان درويش موفقا فيها الى أبعد الحدود فكل كلمة فيها هي دلالة رمزية تعبر عن فئة من المجتمع وتلخص همه. بالمناسبة حذف درويش عبارة "أفض بكارتها" عندما سأل الشاب أين ... فضحكنا
