@hogancfc AHAHA you could not be more wrong. Please, go read a dictionary and at least ATTEMPT to increase your vocabulary. It's really pathetic. I'm not the ignorant self-fucking loser who goes around trolling the internet.
Brendon is my favorite singer EVER, but I don't think anything could beat the Counting Crows.
But that isn't the point of a cover. They are paying tribute to the artist that inspired their music. The intention wasn't to steal the song and make it better.
This is amazing. The performance especialy brendons voice is so powerful! He covers this song with such respect and thought :) he really gets into the mood and story of the song :) I didn't stop thinking about the story of the song for a sec. They can just easily grab and keep your attention
Seriously? You guys need to calm down. People have different opinions and emotions. I like the original, but it gave me no emotion at all. This cover made me cry. Brendon's voice is just breathtakingly beautiful. And you can hear the emotion in his voice. Yeah, they probably would say the original's better. But other people have different opinions. Get over it.
i feel like you cant cover something CLASSIC as ROUND HERE, unless you have a classic yourselves... No one will cover Panic at The Disco, just like no one will cover Limp Bizkit.... But Limp Bizkit stuck to covering George Michael... Does anyone see the formula here??!?!!?

@AnnaGabrielle1258 I know what you mean! I have there cover of Slow Motion on my IPod and when he hits that high note it gives me goose bumps everytime!
I've seen Counting Crows live - no one puts more emotion into this song than Adam Duritz, and I guaran-fucking-tee you the guys from Panic would say so. And no - no new parts, just the version Adam Duritz did in 1998 The Hammerstein Ballroom and on vh1 storytellers. I don't mind Panic, I love all the cool cover choices they make - The Weight is one they do well.
But better than Counting Crows? Not a fucking chance - see Duritz live and watch him bring the entire audience to the brink of tears.
all these people dont get the original... i think it was entirely destroyed by panic. they missed the intensity and importance, and sincerity of Adam when he sings it. My Cd i listened to in High school used to skip and do "Suit-Suit- Suit Case in her hand" It used to piss me off, but now i Miss that skip... That's... what i mean.
@Absolutdoc I seriously don't get what your skipping cd has to do with any of this. I love Counting Crows and Panic! At The Disco. I was listening to the original wayy before I ever heard p!atd's cover and yet I like it also.
@ohxyouxfool no they didn't, if you have EVER heard the crows play live.. you know they slip in new parts like this... this is a cover of their Hammerstein ballroom performance that is on their Across A Live Wire album.
worst cover ever. it sounds like they can't even keep tempo as a band. They tried to do the cover from 'Live Across a Wire" off the 10 spot CD but they didn't even include half of it. Why does his voice crack so much? Psh.
@chavao666 well if you guys dont like it, why the fuck r u on this? haters like you guys just fuckin ruin it for the people who love panic! psh! yourselves!
i'm here because I love counting crows and I love Round Here...simple, isn't it?

but yeah, i appreciate the fact that they tried to "honor" counting crows...it just didn't work
Hmm. Well, I love the original song. And I love this version. There's just some places where it seemed like the music was being played too fast for Brendon to sing. But all in all, this band will always be my favorite. And I love this cover. :)
did u fucks really just compare panic to modern hip hop?
just because a band covers a song that u like and its not exacty how u like doesn't mean you have to be a dick... i love counting crows they're great, i would say panic and counting crows are some of the best bands around today, yes its not as good as the cover but does that mean u have to be a fucking dick..
why cant people just appreciate all music and just enjoy it for the love of it instead of ripping on things they dont even know...
The original of this song is my favorite. But, I think this is a very good cover. Brendon Urie has a way of portraying emotion through his voice that I do not see much of anymore. I do not understand how people can 'bash' a band like this. When they came out, they had a style of music that hasn't been seen for a long time. They have originality and loads of talent. I can't wait to see this band grow musically even more than they already have. <3

Nah, panic! at the disco is probably as good as it gets today. only original band. and don't EVER put Jobro fags in with p!atd. Really, Jonas brothers fail, panic! is obviously #1 today.

What's really sad is that I went shopping the day after the split, and i heard the original song play on the store's speaker. I almost broke down crying.
I don't really listen to this band much, and I don't mean for this to upset any one, and I don't want to insult any one, but whats up with his voice going all bumby every once and a while? Is that normal? Is it a live thing or is it in the recordings too?

@slient and AF, it's called vibrato. from experience, i can tell you that it's pretty common for a non professionally trained (but talented) singer to have this happen when they hold a note. it's kind of obnoxious, and kind of endearing simultaneously. gives the singers voice character, makes it more recognizable, but is also mildly distracting. hope that helps.
I love the Counting Crows, and I love Panic At the Disco. I will not compare the two genius musical groups.
Brendon's voice is so STRONG, for lack of another word, because quite frankly, this utter passion escaping from his voice box goes so far to STUN me.
It's not the best of quality, but if Brendon cannot pull it off, I don't know who can. He sings with purpose and with care. This is truly the definition of beauty.

No-No-No!
Panic at the Disco should NOT cover a Counting Crows song- EVER! How on earth could they hope to capture the soul of the song?
I actually quite like Panic, but really, this cover is cringe worthy.
They could have at least been inventive with it. Copied it exactly, except for the lead singer's annoying nasal voice.
Ok, rant over.

Actually, they added a whole new part to the song.
And I happen to think it captures more emotion than the original but thats just my opinion.
