On the way to Hollywood's Bijou Studio where Brian Slagel was already finished mixing the other Metal Massacre tracks, the band rushed to Grant's home. They brought a four-track recorder into his front room, and watched him improvise a second lead break. "Hit the Lights" was now complete.

This is great to see but stop ragging on Kirk man. I've been playing for years and years and trust me, Kirk is a very tasteful player and can definetly play. He shreds on the first four albums and was one my main inspirations for learing to shred. Yes he uses pentatonics a ton, but I personally love his style and signature licks..even to this day. Also consider that over 90 percent of all rock solos use pentatonics as their base. He does seem to almost overuse the wah now though.

Look as true Metallica fans, McGoveney, Tanner and Grant were never on any of the Metallica albums. Grant was one only one song on the demo and that's because Mustaine was sick. Other than that, the Lineup from Kill 'Em to The Black album, the other albums after suck balls and that's a fact. I saw Metallica 50 times when I was a teen and twice as I got older. Burton, Mustaine and Newstead are the only members that were on an actual released Metallica album. Burton is still the BEST EVER, MASTER!
