  • Neet to put a stack and a snorkel on it and take it through a creek.

  • @beaman220

:) believe me man. That thing went through the creek :) With no ignition parts to get wet, you can go through some water with a diesel

  • Keepin it classy.

  • @thex2thaz

    :) haha, for sure man.

  • I'll give kudos to the durability of the car anyway.

  • @DavidRLocke

    Thats what its all about.

  • in the woods, its a freaking overgrown junkyard

  • @Ackdacka

    More like "Undergrown"

Have you ever seen a junk yard?

  • What year Caddilliac???

  • @tommysbrowncaddy

    What caddillac my friend? :)

  • @tommartyn Hello! The one flying through the woods. :)

  • @tommysbrowncaddy

Haha, what about the fact that it is, indeed, a diesel mercedes?

  • @tommartyn No no, Cadillac. The caddy in the vid, what year is it??

  • @tommysbrowncaddy

You a weird dude my friend, not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • @tommysbrowncaddy the car flying through the woods in the video is a Mercedes, not a Cadillac.

  • seem to be good for excercise until u hit a tree haha. nice vid!

  • @Attentatet

haha, yeah, it got pretty unpredictable when the back end would start bouncing up and down like crazy. But man it was fun :)

  • haha! yeah man :) They are unstoppable :)

  • haha... You mean, like the one sitting around in the video? :) Yeah... I have that one. :) Since this vid we put a running engine in it, and have romped it alot, if you search my vids for willys, you'll see alot of vids of the beast :) its pretty incredible, the machine. :)

  • Everytime I search something cool on youtube, a video from you guys comes up!

  • haha! hope thats a good thing :)

i don't put fake stuff in the tags like some people do to get views... though sometimes i'll throw in "lobster" or something completely random just for fun.

Hope you like the vids! :)

  • You should have parted out the parts that worked before trashing it - dumbass.

  • Then we wouldn't have been able to thrash it. Dumbass.

  • eh, stfu dumbass

  • Why the fuck are you telling me to shut the fuck up? you're the asshole who watched this video, and then left a fucking negative comment. and then adding dumbass to the end of your comments. what an ass.

  • trashing?

    wtf?

    so,

    taking a Mercedes-Benz G500 offroading,

    is that 'trashing' it?

    Or a Brand new GLK350?

that's not trashing it, it's doing something.

    definetly NOT trashing, :)

  • yo man! how have you been?

what have you been up to lately?

i got to drive drews 87 300SD on saturday. bigger then this beast, and turbo. not fast though. but deffinatly nice to drive a mercedes again! :)

that will probably never be a field car though...

he really wants to keep it on the road.

i should start looking for one for the field.

  • i've been good, yourself?

    heh,

found that 1980's stick BMW yet?

    ;)

yea', you should definetly find an oldie Mercedes-Benz.

there's one here for sale in NB it's a 1980's dark blue - wait, i'll just look for it..

    okay -

    it is a 1983 Mercedes-Benz 500SEL,

    for $5,000.

  • I've been really good man! :)

having alot of fun and all with the tractors, and i'm thinking about putting the 83 tercel back on the road! :) which would be awesome.

ahh, my car money would be limited to a maximum of probably 850 bucks. but preferably 500 or less :)

  • yeah, in ontario,

    there's a 1988 190E for $800.

The Mercedes-Benz here are to expensive in NB.

    lol..

how much did you get the old 300D for,

    if you don't mind!

  • Why you do this to that mercedes

Show a litle respect this is a work of art dude

  • This is a great fun thing to do with a car. and a mercedes is an incredible awesome car. so of course we're going to do this with mercedes if we get the opertunity. This builds respect. when we experience how well the car can do all these things. the respect level is a million times higher from when it was in the field, compared to when i had it on the road.

  • WHY?

  • why what?

  • why, you ask. well, i'll tell you WHY. THE DAMN CAR NEEDED A NEW STEERING RACK. PLUS OTHER PARTS. WHAT BETTER TO DO THAN "play" WITH IT. HUH, HUH? WOULD YOU RATHER SEE IT IN A BARN WITH BIRD POOP ALL OVER IT AND RACOONS AND OTHER CREATURES EATING THE INTERIOR AND LIVING IN THE CAR??? HUH, HUH?? IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT. IF SO, GO BUY AN 80/81 MERCEDES-BENZ 300D AND PUT IT IN A BARN. OBSERVE THE REACTION. THAT IS "WHY".
  • hahah, man... you gave it to him!

  • damn it though,

these damn idiots DO NOT know the logic behind it.

  • woo hoo, a mercedes wagon!

    (80's of course.)

what was the need to get rid of her for ?

you could probably get a 90's model on autorader for $1000 and sometimes less ...

if you live in canada , you could've gotten a 1987 SEL Blue Extirior on Blue Interior, well maitained, all for $799.00

  • yeah, i'm more into the early 80's and older mercedes bodys.

the reason i had to get rid of the mercedes, is because i had to clean up the field, and get my 20 something cars down to just a few, and the mercedes steering rack was shot. the wheels would go in their own directions, and you couldn't really steer the beast.... its really sad. could have just got a rack from a junk yard. but thats how it went. alot of cool shit went. but i would highly recomend one of these 5 cylinder diesels.

  • do you live in canada ?

  • no, i wish i did though. it seems cool. literally. i don't like the heat, and it seems like it would be cooler up there. i'm in eastern PA US.

  • is this a scene from the new version of "deliverence"?

  • woo hooo !

    love that car ,

if you ever want to get rid of it ,

    call mee!

  • hahah, yeah, its an incredible car. unfortunatly i already had to get rid of it. its been gone for a while now. but i want to get another one. maybe a station wagon!

  • woo hoo, a mercedes wagon!

    (80's of course.)

what was the need to get rid of her for ?

you could probably get a 90's model on autorader for 200 and sometimes less ...

  • ive always liked the mercedes because of its power

  • Since i had this mercedes, i've had my 86 VW Diesel Jetta. and it had 52 HP brand new. so in retrospect the mercedes did have alot of power. but back when i had it on the road, i didn't notice that. i know on back roads, trying to go really fast around corners and stuff, it didn't have enough power to push the back end like you needed, so it made it a little unsafe for that. I wish that thing had shifted right.

  • Tom is this one turboed?

  • Nope, man, that would have been cool though! this was a pretty slow car! but deffinatly awesome! my only 5 cylinder!

  • apparently the turbo ones were quite fragile someone told me....they used to overheat worse and never lasted as many miles

  • Thats crazy to think about. being that this thing didn't even cool at all, and would just keep working at crazy high RPM's while overheating, with us beating the shit out of it all the time! the engine never changed. and it didn't have a cooling system for well over a year. still ran the same when i scrapped it.

  • NO WAY .

    A five cylinder.

I plan to own a five cylinder one day .

    there neat.

  • What model is that?

  • That puppy is a 300D w123 series. 5 cylinder diesel. Awesome vehicular Creation.

  • should have kept putting water in it at least and let it cool down but i guess this is a die hard motor like the mopar slant 6

  • yeah, it didn't care at all about not having coolant. putting water in it would have just made alot of steam that would block our vision. It really didn't get that hot! the temp gauge was pinned, but it wasn't like a gas engine. it really just only got so hot. and if it wanted to cool down at all, it would stall if you let off the gas too quick, and would crank to slow, that it wouldn't start till it cooled down, and cranked fast again!

  • mercedes are great cars don't use them like that

  • alright

  • Ok I saw the other vid first, in this one it still has the grill and headlamps..so what did you hit huh!? lol

  • heh heh, well, when it was on the road, we went into a farmers field, and were driving through this creek crossing he had, then we romped over this fallen tree twice, and the second time, it destroyed the radiator, and broke the exaust manifold. i tried to put a postal jeep radiator in it, i took the grill off for it to fit. it never worked though. but that car DIDN"T need a radiator at all! if it stalled and wouldn't start, we'd just let it cool down. then it WOULD start! lol,

  • hey, today i uploaded a video of the mercedes back when i first got it, and it was on the road. i think it was 600 dollars. i liked that car alot.

  • I have the same car (non-turbo) and it loves the off road. I'll have to do video some day. Excellent chassis for this kind of thing. Its a heavy duty car. If you watch the other videos you'll see the crash tests show what an advanced and wonderful chassis it is. I would rather get in an accident in my car than in a 2000 pontiac montana (check that crash test on youtube).

  • I love this video. It's on my favorites. My Benz is much newer, but I would love to own one like this. With all the biodiesel frenzy and high gas prices, these cars are getting very pricey nowadays. If the holocaust came tomorrow, only these cars and cochroaches would survive, nothing else is tough enough.. Visualize giant mutant cockroaches

driving around in W123 Mercedes diesels like this, and you've got the picture.

  • Sad to see a Merc (actually, any car) being abused in such a way...

  • These cars are everywhere, if only because they simply won't die. They aren't worth a lot of money, though, unless they're all original.

  • Meant that as a response to another comment, but whatev'.

  • i don't like seeing w123s being run like this, BUT it was cool at the end when you had the cam on the ground and you edited it all together the last like 10-15 seconds

  • sorry if it bothered you, but it was at the end of its career. yeah, the end was a pretty lucky thing to think of. worked out awesome. showed how vicious the car was!

  • This looks like fantastic fun. Those W123 Mercedes are tough!

  • thats thing was a constant blast! loved it! thanks for the comment!

  • damn that cars pretty fast lol..dont even treally sound diesel

  • lol, yeah, it was a very slow car, but still extremely fun. after the exaust broke, it did kinda sound gasoline, very vicious for gas though. i think at idle it might have still sounded diesel

  • Yeah Tom, Great! I dig the use of emergency flashers. I always appreciate safe driving like that!

  • Thats what it all about. keeping things safe for the tree's and stickerbushes and such, you never know when their going to pull right out, but this let's them know to be cautious.

  • lmao lol!, vluuuurrgghh! ruuoooom! gluurrgurglurguh! , thats cool thew wipers were a nice touch lol, i love the horns on em i beep at ppl in my beat up w123 240D lol

  • that thing did sound awesome, engine and horn combined. its fun beeping at people, then never quite know what to do... is the 240D fast or slow? or inbetween? the 300D was slow. but that was awesome too

  • Yeah, the sound is perfect man! I used to work on car commercials and our main precision driver was Bobby Unser, Jr. After we wrapped filming for the day he'd drive a bunch of us in a rented Lincoln Towncar back to the hotel. Totally scary driving and fun! As he put on the emergeny brake and did a few 360s he'd say "Hey, it just a rental car!" Ha!

  • This video single-handedly undoes all the yuppie snobs with their shiny Benz's. Bravo!!

  • awesome man! thanks! it was fun

  • wtf! Why were you blipping the throttle?? It's a four stroke not a two stroke knob

  • trying to have fun man, the most possible, and just flooring shit on its own isn't as much fun as what you call "blipping" the throttle. we arn't doing it for any reason other then fun. not for power or anything like that. i don't know man, we like doing that and will keep doing it with ANY 4 Stroke car/truck/tractor/pushmower/engine we can get our fucking hands on.

  • oh the nostalgia... I gave away mine to charity, but loved it when I had it.

  • that car was completely awesome! i deffinatly loved this one alot.

  • a classic 123 video.. even though its a gasser

  • does gasser mean gasoline? because this is a crazy 5 cylinder diesel. and thats one of the coolest things about it...

  • awesome. that is the coolest thing about it, obviously you are minus an exhaust.

  • yeah, we were driving through this creek, then we romped over a afterwards, and it broke the radiator and craked the exaust manifold off where it connects to the exaust. thats what ended its road career with me. but its field career has been way more exciting anyway! do you have one of these things?

  • hey, did you guys ever get to romp and destroy that toyota? get any footage if you did?

  • no cooling system!?! running it like that?!? wow tough engine.

  • yeah! its crazy man! the hotter it gets, the more it likes those high rpm's!

  • Some neat shots... I had the same car, and I miss it!

  • Ooo, it still had headlights and a grille when this video was made.

  • yes there are some noticeable differences when you travel back in time... with these videos the grill i took off because at one point i wanted there to be a radiator, its still there, but not in use, and the headlights were for the 83 toyota. so it could road it up

  • the nissan still runs and moves, the only problem is the front tire fell off, because i put the three lug nuts on way to loose for the intense manner of driving, so all the studs are fucked up. but we are working on it!

  • Sounds awesome man. Hope to see that footage. you might not be able to kill the engine. we couldnt't kill ours!

  • Mercedes Benz put the naturaly aspirated OM617 5-cylinder diesel engine in apprx. 340,000 vehicles between 1976 & 1985. So no, it's not rare at all!

  • thats a alot of cars with a low power, unkillable engine. i thought naturaly aspirated meant carburated. like the air coming in sucked the gas out of the jets, but this thing has lines comeing from what i thought was the injector pump, to the cylinders.

  • Naturaly aspirated means the engine runs off of atmospheric preasure. ie: No turbo/supercharging to "force" more air into the combustion chambers.

However, Mercedes Benz put apprx. 105,000 turbocharged OM617A 5-cylinder diesels in vehicles between 1980 & 1985. These 300D's are identified by "turbodiesel" emblems on the right corner of the trunklid.

  • I've seen them. i always wondered how much faster they would be compared to my 300d. it was seriouly slow on the road when it was there.

  • i'm not sure if its a common engine. the car was 600 bucks, and is really good in the field. Extremly fun. and the corolla, will rock. They have an incredible amount of suspension travel, drove onto a over one foot high tree stump once. tires didn't even spin, the bumper seriously bashed though. we put snow in the oil, and the thing never died, the starter went though. romped for hours, never used any gas. great in the snow. The mercedes proboly is worth money. but its too fun. Thanks!

  • The diesel W123 Merc's are virtually impossible to kill.

  • true man, that thing is still kicking.

  • Cool
