  • Hahahaha, I think this is for fun rather than a drill, but did u see that dickhead in the end who tried to walk into the cop car?

  • 58 - 60 cars I counted :)

  • This would be a good time to go into the Police Department, steal some guns, and leave.

  • @Pigeonification There are only about another 500 in there. Good luck.

  • @ArmaEditor Well in case you didn't see they ALL JUST LEFT.

  • @Pigeonification Nope, there are still more.

  • 0:55 Hey bitch, where you goin?!

  • @beasst94 its called humor turdbreath, you may wanna try sometime instead of just being a fuckwit

  • to see the respond time to the location there going to? test a drill respond time.

  • What a waste of time and money!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NOTELLINGPHILLY If surge drills existed on 9/11, it would have been less catastrophic...

  • @SuperToyotaLexus This look like something from 1945 IN GERMANY to me the third Reich....

But in 2011 NYPD is the new fourth Reich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NOTELLINGPHILLY Its too practice response time, organization and a show of power/numbers.

  • 64

  • Another time CJ.......

  • OFFICER DOWN!! OFFICER DOWN!!!

  • Whats the point of this really? just wandering cause ive seen it in New Mexico and there alot and im just wandering...

  • i have counted 62 nice video btw

    i like the nypd cars

  • @anoniem1725 Wrong 64 :)

  • @astanford09 ok thx

  • AWESOME video, really nice to see that!

at the last disaster drill at Frankdurt Intl. Airport (Germany) there were 100 police cars responding, 300 further vehicles from Fire, EMS, Federal Agency for Technical Relief, emergency management and some other organisations.

  • i live in holland and i like USA mutch but i cotta quistion

    why are they doing this?

  • @anoniem1725 the reason might be 9/11, two and a half year after that the first such drill was held: Many police cars respond to one place coming out from nowhere. So when there would be any attack, they are prepared

  • I counted about 64 cruisers

  • Perfect time to robb a bank in 42ST

  • Alright lads, time to rob a bank.

  • OH FUCK THE MILITARY FORCE IS GUNNA KILL THE CANADIANS ...WAIT HOLD THE FUNBUS THE FUCK UP FUCK ITS THE COPS THATS EVEN EVIL IM FUCKED MY COKE IS GONNA BE GONE

  • Lol, Streetparade is not in Berlin, Germany????

  • Lol.. Streetparade is not in Berlin, Germany????

  • this is useless...no sense.

  • Someone got a 5 star wanted level in GTA!!!

  • 64 cruisers

  • fkn too many punks

  • fkn too many police

  • It's stated intention is to scare the terrorists by making them think the cops could show up en mass at anytime (they really said that.)

Seems to work as bin Laden has never been seen anytime they do this.....

  • Wellllll, radioguy, Hate to bust your bubble, but actually, they 'can' respond in large numbers 'anytime'.... I think I might know a little on this subject.

  • What are you talking about? Make some sense?

And just what do you know about this?

  • Mobilizations are ideal for containing and controlling a problem. Civil disorder or case and point, incidents like "Mumbai" comes to mind. Why do you think they attacked Mumbai and had great success? They went unchallenged and walked around wherever they pleased. Terrorist "do" take notice. They do know they will challenged here. Enough said..

  • Oh please. Now I know you DON'T know what you're talking about.

This is just a show of force for the tourists. Kelly knows they will post it on YT for you to be impressed.

It is a great time and gas waster and has never been used effectively at any real incident. They are stripping the hood of protection for this debacle.

Mumbai? We're talking NYC. But then again there's never been a terrorist bombing when they are making these silly shows.

bin Laden nowhere around. Enough said!

  • 'Oh please', - one of the last mobilizations I went to before I retired was when your friend was videotaping a shooting in the Bronx +20 years ago... I remember someone INSISTING here on Youtube that they were correct and knew what they were talking about....

Stripping the hood of protection? LOL.. These drills are 'small' compared to a few 'none mobilization drills' I have been in.

  • These are Task Force units usually. They don't pick up jobs but do patrol the precinct.

When Central is holding 6 with no hiway available, sending the few units left to waste gas is a travesty.

And that person insisting was wrong about an event that was confusing, if that's what you are referring to.

I caught up to the cameraman at that job where 2 NYPD stupids got shot with their own gun by an unarmed fare beater in L.I.C. and I asked him.

    On that I stood corrected.

  • Normally, they are not assigned a job, but I have seen TF pick up jobs. As for the drill, they 'try' to get one car per command, 'if available'. If the pct 'determines' they don't have enough manpower, they don't send anyone to the drill. Btw, just because a command is holding 6 jobs, doesn't mean they are actually having a drill somewhere.

  • I know that just because they are holding doesn't mean there's a drill. I means somebody is slacking, more often than just too many jobs.

I watch and time the response over a 20 year period as if this was a business.

The NYPD comes up lacking. It is run by an egomaniac commish and a mayor with no respect for the law other than his own. As far as the TF picking up jobs, hard to tell what's the policy from the outside.

They respond on jobs but rarely pick one up Usually don't know the area

  • No, it does not mean someone is slacking. I have seen a 'full' tour turn out which is normally way more than enough personnel. But for unknown reasons, EVERYONE is calling for one thing or another. It is simply, unpredictable. I have lost many a meal handling jobs and were still backlogged. Sorry, but if I am going to lose a meal, better be no one slacking. It is just the way it is. Understand this, someone does less, you do more. So everyone pulls their weight. No one likes a slacker.

  • But I've seen for myself.

Once they had a burg on the next block with 2 13 year olds fighting which were caught by one unit.

4 more units came by to hang including the one going to the burg.

15 minutes later when Central wanted a burg update, the unit nastily told her they never made it and were assisting the unit with the 13 year olds.

So 10 cops stand around at a fistfight, ignoring a dispatched burg, while ONE cop handles the job.

All 5 cars blocking the road no less.

    Should I go on?

  • You have no idea how things can 'explode'. You really don't. You complain too many cops respond to a fight, yet you complain when 2 cops gets in a fight, lose their gun while in a fight, get shot and then you call them stupid. I have been in fights with smaller guys. I couldn't believe the strength some of these people had and I am NOT a small guy. I got news for you, I ONLY WISHED I had 4 cars backing me up then that started over a family dispute.

  • I know this and it's very true. In the subway case there are procedures for handling a fare beater and not letting him get your gun and stand over you and shoot you is one. I'm sure they got sloppy, or arrogant, not sure which

Or put your gun away to cuff one and the other shoots you when you are a solo foot post holding 2. Been to that funeral.

Had to tell the cop across the street if he is going to take action, stand back so they don't get your weapon. Why do I have to tell him this?

  • Comment removed

  • So you know not tyo put away your weapon when holding 2 for robbery or we wouldn't be here talking.

There's a park in Astoria NY named for PO McDonald who didn't follow that obviuos rule.

One of my best police shots is a Combat Cross winner, his medal reflecting on the hood of the hearse, looking off into the distance at this funeral

I imagine him to be thinking the difference between winning and losing is a medal or an inspectors funeral.

It's why they have the range

  • Comment removed

  • Well I have to go by the response to the scene. 21st St was blocked for 5 blocks, despite all the action being underground at 41st Ave

Should you try to tell me that was justified, I might add that Aviation responded.

Judging from the clown act topside, I figured it was more of the same usual story down below.

Remember I started out trying to get pictures of the cops as heroes.

  • BTW, I just got a letter thanking me from the DA's office for calling 911 and getting a picture of a wanted burglar (they had given out fliers) with his hands in a window.

    He got 10 months.

  • Domestic disputes are the most dangerous call because of the emotions involved. You must remember the cop who died by falling on a mirror shard the husband threw, cutting his leg

That's what a crime of passion is. When an ordinary robber gets you he shoots you once or twice if he needs to.

When it's "my bitch was cheating" he stabs her 30 times and then shoots her twice

  • Comment removed

  • Oh please.

One officer walked this kid into the projects while the others stood around yakking, ignoring the boy. And I mean boy, compared to grown men.

They were jeopardizing public safety and no amount of excuses is going to say otherwise.

I've seen the "10 officers to lift the 90 pound lady into the ambulance who didn't feel like it ", but that was not the case here.

One job at a time? What about the one already assigned? You don't tell Central you have a new job?

  • The lady upstairs flipped out one day. Despite weighing 90 pounds she had 10 cops take her out.

After she bit me full on the arm first.

  • You ramble on and on over this and that. Cops are NOT perfect, they never were - but if you are so critical, why didn't YOU become a cop and show everyone how it SHOULD be done if you are so good at police work? What's your excuse?

  • Not rambling, you just don't want to hear it.

I'm not doing police work, I'm trying to please the editors on the assignment desk at the NY Post.

Had to become well versed in figuring out what was going to happen better than the cops and being a mechanical expert, I could see the small details that make the project a success (or failure)

Do you know they actually asked me if I got the bodies falling on a shootout?

I had to be that much better than the cops and the rest of the press corps.

  • Guess you have no idea how heated it can get inside the house when one even 'thinks' someone else is 'slacking'. It is straightened out pretty fast. Sorry, I didn't put up with 'slackers' and I don't know anyone who did. Would you?

  • Of course not. Why do you think I'm complaining?

  • You are complaining because you 'believe' you are right. That said, when I saw your vid of you trying to antagonize some cops on foot that were doing nothing wrong, and snickering at the end, maybe you 'are the one believing' wrong with a chip on his shoulder?

  • I most certainly have a chip on my shoulder and the cops put it there.

Realize the cops were my heroes when I started out in 1980. If I have an axe to grind they put it in my hands.

I've been beaten and jailed 7 times, countless summonses and lost my license for 8 years because I yelled "Hey Watch It" at a cop who almost killed me

Got a broken rib out of it too. You could take the cop's side if in about 60 court appearances I've had to make, they would have shown up just ONCE, but they don't

  • I wasn't trying to antagonize any cops, I was trying to hide the fact that I was conducting an audit of their poorly run op

They later chased me without telling Central, forcing a neighbor to review cam tapes, telling him they had an "investigation" winding up on that roof, a block away.

They were blocking 2 lanes of a busy road with no RMP. I was chuckling because these tough guys turned a routine boring audit tape into a YT moment

BTW, bike I went to fix got stolen. That's why I was there

  • Comment removed

  • It's not written anywhere, but whomever sent these clowns out to block both sides of the fast moving road and almost get run over (in an unposted vid) had no clue as to how stupidly they were going to conduct this op.

This the same spot I recorded the NYPD watch tower report the perp in the gunpoint robbery on the next block ran past him into the projects (while waving the gun).

You can't make this stuff up. As far as turning it into a YT moment, why were they even talking to me during a stop?

  • Comment removed

  • Because I'm still working obviously.

    And on the outside.

I don't turn a blind eye to anything.

And these guys were not only stupid rookies, they were sent on a fools mission and acted like thugs.

You don't need to be a cop see the stupidity of hiding behind a tree to snag violators, blocking both sides of the road, while having no RMP to mark even a single lane closure, creating a dangerous condition

Guy I was with followed home to see if he opened a beer before he got in the house

  • Comment removed

  • It's funny.

The same office that sent me a letter thanking me for catching the burglar continues to try to prosecute me because I made a face at one of your children with a badge.

He wanted to teach me to respect authority so he engaged in a criminal conspiracy to hide his crime of assaulting me.

I wish you could have seen his snotty little face when I told him I had the movie running.

He's going to jail and he knows it.

The #1 biggest most dangerous part of my jobs is moron cops.

  • Comment removed

  • No, you are wrong. I was standing up to an asshole who should nat have been talking to me in such a fashion.

I know you think anybody with a badge can say anything he wants and anybody who disputes this is a troublemaker, and that's why the cops are hated.

You are a servant, not my ruler. You know you are wrong. You weren't there but my movie camera was

All you need to know was I gave some lip?

    Goodbye

  • Comment removed

  • I guess the meaning of public servant" is lost upon you.

I guess you thought you were my ruler and I've been on my own since I've been 14 and don't take shit from anybody.

While I don't want to be the ruler, I expect courteous behavior from the police, instead of the usual "Because I said so FuckFace" coming from somebody not qualified to shine my shoes.

  • My integrity is unquestioned and known throughout the area and the industry.

At the NY Post, they handed out pocket cameras since I was banging so many great shots with one.

I asked if I could have one since they complain about the quality of the one I do use.

When told no, I said "what if I take one?"

I was told I was many things (meaning asshole and jerk) but not a thief.

Coming from the NY Post it's almost a compliment

  • you have 4 stripes, in a couple of weeks, that will be the start of my seventh.

And I did it practically 7 days a week, picking and choosing where and when I went.

Sometimes to the smallest jobs, just to see what happens when no one is supposedly watching and then to some that were headlines.

Google "Priest Runs Over Good Samaritan on 59th Bridge, Koreans off the 59 Bridge, and French Runner first to die in Marathon.

Google Alistair Duncan. I sent him to jail. Post gave me $75. FBI bragging

  • ???

    Rocker panel?

  • Comment removed

  • OK I get it but not the rocker. Some internal lingo.

I am strictly an observer on the street.

  • But what if they all slack together, as in the 2 boys situation, ignoring an assigned priority call they were assigned to?

Where does that put me as a civilian? It doesn't make the cops look like the "Finest" in my eyes.

  • Comment removed

  • That's between the Indians, the Jews and the British. We don't have a dog in that fight.

However, dropping drone bombs in an illegal assassination attempt and killing members of a wedding party, including children and the bride should bring us some trouble somewhere down the line.

The same idiots telling you about Mumbai, missed the WTC attack, despite it's being published in a White House daily briefing.

  • Comment removed

  • Not cruisers...RMP's

  • Don't bother to mention it's not a surge drill, it's called a "Rapid Mobilization Drill"

  • 65.5 cars, exactly 65.5

  • @290275290275

    how is it 65.5?

  • well if you factor in the ruthmen algorithmic, and add the given variables here such as amount of cars, type, people, ect, into X - (n +2) * Y2 squared, over two, and average that out with the main outliers of your algorithum, and repeat, you get a series of numbers that you then use in Y= total of cars, so y=a * o (n -2) over two, and depending on your outliers of the situation, along with the algorithm of your choice, and the included stream variables, check my math, I'm think I'm good

  • what can you put that in english idk all of that math language

  • I think you made a mistake. I did the math and come up with only 65.23

  • hmm, did you apply the structural verticals of your matrix? that might be why our answers are different :P

  • Do I know you?

  • probably not

  • 64 cars

  • Comment removed

  • lol i like how at the end that Impala blew the horn as everyone started crossing lmao haha

  • so the nypd street race when theres nothing else to do

  • if you would pay attention to the video you would realize they circled around like twice.

  • they didn't circle around at all. it just seems that way because of all the cars.

  • I counted 66 cruisers.......it was quite a show

  • That's the idea

  • love it!

  • there r 64 partrol cars (:

  • "this shit is so fucking dumm cause if u get stuck in this shit trying 2 cross the street u will b there 4 a long fucking"

2 min and 40 sec isn't that long.

  • It is in NYC

  • 60 cars

  • I have counted 64 cars.

  • @wraith7432 Yep 64!

  • NEW YORK (AP) Jan. 22— Authorities say a surging van struck and drilled at least five children on a sidewalk in New York City's Chinatown neighborhood, killing two of them. Authorities say one child is in serious but stable condition. Another two or three children appear to have minor injuries. They all have been taken to New York Downtown Hospital.

  • I remember that, but what does it have to do with this?

Why is this account closed or is that obvious?

  • look at the peds , they think of it as nothing haha , If i saw that I would be like wtf and get my ass outa there

  • Why? You up to something?

  • Always ;)

  • wow people are in patient.

  • 66 cars

  • god dam u GAS people they protect us u dnt like wut they do thn move somewher else

  • I've been here 50 years, I should move because I don't think they are protecting us with this rodeo show?

  • NYPD ROCKS!!! and yeah I counted 64 also.

  • Or, RadioReporter01, Perhaps you are just a giant douche.

  • Comment removed

  • Waste of gas, that's all

They all wind up on 42nd St giving the tourists a show, and to put terrorists on notice

Maybe I am wrong and this strategy by "Popeye" Kelly works because bin Laden has never been seen on 42nd St.

  • 64 cruisers :p

  • That's 64 cars not on patrol, wasting gas.

Recently I had to put a bike seat on a bike under the NYPD bank robbery camera, where it had been stolen.

The idiot rookies passing my house as I came out with the tools thought I was a burglar.

No highway available and the precinct holding 7.

Where are they? Rapid Mobilization Drill

  • I'd love to see one of these surges!

  • Not called a surge, that's what they call the shenanigans in Iraq.

This is a rapid mobilization drill. Those who call it a surge are stupid

  • What the hell is wrong with you?

  • "If you look closely at the Twin Towers during the 9/11 attacks, you will see that NYPD officers are pushing people out of the windows and then laughing" lol that's funny in a fucked up way

  • noise pollution lol

  • I also had nothing better to do and counted 64 cruisers

  • SIXTY FOUR POLICE CRUISERS, I had nothing better to do so I counted.

  • LMAO! I just counted and got 64 too! hahaha.

there's 64 in total, including two NYPD SUV's.

  • This is a practice put in place after 9/11, as the flashing lights and sirens are believed to scare would-be "terrorists", much like the dragon dances done in Chinatown are designed to drive away evil spirits. So far no evil spirits other than Rudy and his pal Larry Silverstein have been seen threatening NYC.

  • is New York the only city that does SURGE DRILLS or do other big cities do it, like L.A or CHICAGO?

  • i wonder da same thing cus my city doesnt :(

  • same here...no "surge drill"- Detroit

  • i'm philly ova here yea! neway, we like the sista city of NY we're always in her shadow yet we don't do drills. Watch this video- you hav to type in "Persecusion en Philly" exactly like that. It invovles mainly city PPD, 1 state, n 1 transit i'm from here so i know lol.

neway, in the vid description it says chase but it's not a chase bc notice the cops on the otha street jus chillin lining up. lol

  • NYPD at their best!!!

  • Amen bro!! I dont get why a lot of stupid people discourage this saying it is a waste of the taxpayer's money. These are the people who saved New York's butt in 9/11 and they pay taxes too.

  • Uh, no, they failed to "save NY's butt in 9/11". They even let the terrorists blow up WTC building 7 five hours after the first attack.

  • They didnt "let" the terrorists do anything. No one could have predicted this, and if you think otherwise, take your conspiracy shit somewhere else.

  • omg

  • 65 in all and 3 bikers not included :p

  • This reminds me of that scene at the end of Death Wish III. A gang spends the last half hour of the movie completely destroying the neighborhood and killing people, while Charles Bronson and his neighbors take on the whole gang themselves. (No police in sight). Then, after Bronson and his friends take out most of the gang themselves, and the rest of the gang retreats, a stream of 30 or 40 cop cars come racing into the neighborhood. I hope the cops would be arriving alot sooner in real life!

  • I counted 62 Cruisers and 2 SUV's

  • nice vid!

  • i got 64

  • SURGE DRILL I'M HAVING A BABY!

  • what is a surge drill. I would have thought something had happened like 9-11.

  • Show of force and quick response in case of another 9/11.

  • yes it is a test of response and too keep them ready in case they actually have to do this they are ready.

  • SICCK!

  • i'll count 65

  • ahhh CRV!!

  • SURGE DRILL BABY!
