  • nice

  • could we get a write out of the "further reading" part at the end? I can't understand the name of the author of Soil & Erosion.

  • Did anyone catch the "weeding by hand" and "consciously destructing the roots without disturbing the soil"?

ie. How does one destroy roots without disturbing the soil and allowing 'seeds to see the light'? Thanks! Great video!

  • @UnoRaza Hand weeding = much less disturbance than a rototiller or even a hoe, plus you can more efficiently remove the roots than other methods. Note that chopping up the roots of some weeds is a brilliant way of propogating them.

  • This video brings light to the beneficial microorganisms that we take advantage of on a daily basis. It is important to realize humans have only been cultivating veggies for a few thousand years, however vegetables have inhabited the earth for longer. Its also important to note that every time we buy a pack of seeds, we are contributing to the process of stopping evolution from continuing. Check out the new internationally recognized Seed Bank located in Norway.

  • @MasterVeggie ok, how are we stopping evolution from continuing? By buying monsanto seeds? what about heirloom seeds?

  • Ive seen many....MANY methods of farming...but this one is incredible!! No need for fertilizers really got me looking. I garden organically but still add fertilizers and cultivate the soil. THIS MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE!! Vegetables must have been able to survive in nature before we found them!! Theres an even closer connection with food growing this way that I am compelled to try and excel at this method!

  • Read "One Straw Revolution" and you will be shocked how much more sense it will make.

  • Great video!

  • Thank you 4 a great video, i found it much offered much more information than all of the bbc gardeners world programs put together & we have 2 pay a tv licence 2 watch it!!!

  • Excellant and enlightening! Emilia so had a talent in the garden and teaching. I get the feeling that I already knew what she is telling us yet now I feel like I know how!

  • Pretty advanced stuff to get working as a synergistic whole; albeit much less physical work needed than conventional methods.

  • This video just makes me wanna grow so many fuckin plants!!

  • Awesome videos. Thank you!

  • Excellent series, thank you very much for posting it. I now have even more tips on tending my own garden, and I appreciate the help...now I have to find Fukuoka's books! =D

  • Thanks for posting.

    This is truly inspirational.

As the world stands now, on the edge of an abyss where perhaps billions will come under threat from starvation and eugenics, Permaculture will truly come of age.

  • great series, thanks for this, seems similar to the idea of raised bed gardening but without using boards which only last a few years

  • really interesting, thanks!
