Wait...seriously? I'm not seeing the connection at all actually. Fall out boy's earlier stuff is definitely more on the punk than pop side, and their later stuff is definitely more on the pop side. In fact, it's completely radio/mtv friendly. Whereas Every Avenue is a perfect balance. If you're going to compare them, I'd go with All Time Low or Valencia. But I still don't see why you'd have little respect for them, either way.
