  • All of your videos are great but I've never seen a WC front kick with the ball of the foot. I was taught to use the heel which is much stronger structurally. The front heel kick is taught exclusively in CK and the dummy. The front ball kick is a good kick which I learned from Shotokan and is seen in TKD, Tai boxing etc. , but in what form from WC are you basing this?

  • @gosoku2 I learned from Shotokan too, friend, and I might be of some help by offering a second perspective of combatives experience. My experience not only with Chinese arts and Wing Chun in particular has so far led me to believe that Wing Chun schools only bring about kicking as a "if you are good at kicking" application until you have reached a higher level in Qi Gong (CK) forms. The Eternal Spring Dance must derive its energy from the Earth during conflict and peace as much as possible.

  • :) I like the idea of kicking open doors in the mall. I'm gonna do that.

  • lol. i call the slant kick the "wing chun kick" and it is a nasty kick. its very design is to break the human leg by smashing the kneecap, breaking it and folding it backwards. great vids, u guys got great hands as well as feet. southern gung fu is the very best. even tho ppl say its all the same....... well its not.

  • Is it also the case that the slant kick would be aimed at the aggressors kneecap potentially destroying the knee?

  • @erdnallewen thats defiantly the goal in some cases, i know cause ive felt it

  • @erdnallewen Yes. It's solely designed to destroy the knee.
