  • I bought this unit for my 2006 Mazda 3, but couldn't configure the Steering Wheel Control (SWC). As I try to pair the SWC button to the function onscreen (by holding the hard button down as I try to press the onscreen button), nothing happens b/c onscreen function button is disabled. One thing I noticed was that I had a 2nd connector, which had no place to be plugged into on the new harness. I suspect that this is the SWC connector. Comments or advice? Thanks.

  • hi i also have an eonon unit but it didnt come with gps software.....which software do you have on yours?

if you have a link on where to dl it would be great!

    thanks

  • @dakida007 Hi, the gps software was on a memory card that came with the unit when i bought it; but apparently you can download a torrent for any gps software and use it on the unit itself because it basically windows/linux operating system based. Let me know if it works or not.

  • Is this compatible with/charge the iPhone 4G?

  • @supfool64711 I'm not sure I only have the 3G but I'd imagine it is... not much changes between the 3G and the 4G, same style of plug and everything so... yeah even if it doesn't the unit itself is still phenomenal and you can probably get an external unit that does support 4G and can be integrated with the unit

  • @coldfuzionzxx I'm not familiar with the architecture of the mazdaspeed, however if the dash layout is the same as the Mazda 3 I can't see why it wouldn't work with the speed. The wiring and software should be the same. Maybe contact eonon, they should be in a better position to answer your question.

  • Will this work for the mazdaspeed 3 2008 ?

  • Thanks for the help dude! I think I fixed the volume, and everything else is working great now. I think I was excited about it and didn't realize it was definitely not the fastest unit out there lol about the gPS signal, when I load the navi, the actual program starts in a matter of seconds but thre is no map, and when I search for a POI it k ows the roads but it just says "searching for signal". Do u know of any other softwares I can install?

  • i just installed this same unit. do you have a problem with the menu? it keeps switching back to radio even if im on the main menu...and even after 2 seconds it iwll jump right back. also...when you first loaded the GPS, does it take a long time to set up? I installed the box in the back of the top of the dash by the empty space. when i press go on the navi it just says "searchign for gps signal"...??? one more thing....does your volume ever stall?

  • @andrunez19 The menu is designed to returned to whatever setting you had it on. e.g. if you were listening to the radio and tried to switch to something else but didn't do it fast enough, it returns to the previous menu.

The gps usually takes about 2-3 mins for a "cold" start and approx. 1 min for a "warm" start. You might wanna consider putting the box on top of the dash (next to the light sensor, by the defrost grid) I found that this location offers optimum signal for the gps.

  • @andrunez19 in regards to the volume, there have been many reports suggesting that one of the pins are bent. you could try this option and see if it resolves this issue.

  • I had problems with the harness also. The pins didnt line up at first so my volume kept going up and wouldnt stop. Easy fix, only issue I have had with it.

  • need configuration for the controls of the steering wheel, I wait for urgent response, they me do not work any, please help me

  • @zonagsm
