  • This wont help you. The walking down the wall will but this won't. As you kick over you will have to push really hard. You must do pushup they make you stronger and your friends may not even be a couch 9 times out of 10. If you want to get a backwalker go to a tumble class. If not push harder and keep trying youll get it eventually.

  • well you need to walk your hands the wall alot then try just putting your hands on the wall then maybe walk them down 1 step and the be able to go down that way then try pillows on the floor and try if it hurts your back you need to practice your flexibility by going on the floor go in a bridge then walk your hands together and then walk apart then try and kick one leg up then the other keep doing that a few times a day everyday for a while then you should get it soon!!! GOOD LUCKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THESE THINGS TO DO IT! A spotter/friend, trampoline, cheese/slanted mat, and a soft flat ground, all of which can be at a local gymnasium. First, Try a back kick over on the cheese mat. Then try it on a tramp. Next try it on the flat surface. P.S. You should try a spotter with each of these steps before trying it on your own. Also I learned the hard way that if you say you can't you really can't, SO REMEMBER TO KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!! Hope this helped!!

  • Ok so here is what to do first walk your legs up the wall so now you have that now try a couch or bed then like cushions or something lower than the floor with a friedn then by yourself just keep practicing and practicing it takes a while and be hydrated and hair back, comfy clothes, and VERY VERY stretched out!! and remember to push your chest forward and use all your leg and shoulder strengths! GOOD LUCK!! Tell me if you can do it!! HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE!

  • You can, but it's dangerous, don't learn that way.

    I can do back handsprings and they are very different to these :)

  • Well, im a gymnast, and to help for the people who say they still cant do the kickover part you have to: push your shoulders out as far as possible and walk your close to your hands. Then, you have to kick one leg really hard and fast and push with your other, and KEEP UR LEGS STRAIGHT. lol

  • Yes, lots of boy gymnasts i've seen have done this, and when you get good at a back bend kickover yuu can do an backwards walk over, which is almosyt the same but all in one mation

  • hmm, well the most common way of getting over the fear is getting sporterd. But its not imposible to leasrn other ways because i never had anyone to sporter me, i learnt using a trampoline. But if you dont have one of thouse, i like to do my first moves on sand because it takes alot of the impact away if you fall. If this still dosent help then posibly go for a gymnastic session and use on of the mats there. hope this helps, Ally X

  • you cannot walk down a wall you will flip into the wall.. so lie on the flor and push up into a bridge :)

  • well the way i learnt was if you have a hill or ledge in your garden or near you then kick of that (start kicking somthing really high and get lower over time) or you could kick of a sofa or even a wall. =P hope this helps oxo

  • when u go over try keep yr leg bent then strainghten it when u near floor i started gymnastics when i was 10 im 13 know so im in squad team know !! it was very good :)

  • yeah thats right. and remember to keep your arms really strong. first you need to learn how to do a backbend with one leg up. then practise putting it together!you just need to practise and thats how are learnt!

  • to do a 'backwards walkover' do i haft to fall in to bridge with one leg and go straight over? i'm just wondering because my gymnastics teacher said that was a backwards walkover.
