Celina is sexy, but I don't think she is Elle. Lauren always looks sad and resembles Britney a bit too much. Cassie and Emma are mean. Rhiannon and Natalie are the same person. Bailey is very nondescript, so that leaves AUTUMN!
I absolutely LOVE this show! It's sad Laura Bell Bundy wants to leave, (it's obvious none of these girls will ever top her performances),but each of them have something REALLY good! If only there was a girl that had Bailey & Lindsey's look, Rhiannon & Natalie's sparkle, Cassie & Emma's confidence, Autumn & Celina's energy, & Lauren's voice (Actually, I like all of their voices, but Lauren's the most). *sigh* The simple dream of being on Broadway. It kinda bugs me that they are making a reality TV show. Kind of gets rid of the magic of Broadway. I've never wanted a lead, but being on stage has to be one of the greatest feeling. A mix of adrenaline, confidence, self-consciousness, and pure fun. well mtv has this way of editing whoever the winner is into showing them every 5 minutes and making them seem like happy go lucky, down to earth contestant, and that's EXACTLY how they portray bailey. to me, mtv is pretty predictable.

I know one of the girls on the show and she told me about the losing weight comment. Apparently the prod. were trying to create drama on the show. SO they gave the girls a Paper (the girl in the shot is holding) w/ ?s like "which of the girls needs to lose weight" and all the girls refused to answer. that clip is just of the girl saying to the producer "we are not going to look at one of our friends and be like 'we all think u need 2 lose weight' ". Its just producers manip. what was said...

They don't just pick random girls to be on the show. From what I have read, tons of girl have been through four years of college, in national tours, and working their ass of in New York. If they weren't die hard and talented they wouldn't be there. And Bernie Telsey and Jerry Mitchell WOULD NEVER jeaopordize their careers or the show itself by involving themselves in something they didn't that was true and or right. Its the real deal. This isn't Tila Tequila.
Yes, which is why Jerry Mitchell gets the final say in who stays and who goes. (As opposed to America *shudder*) Problem is, the show wasn't cast by Bernard Tesley and Jerry Mitchell. It was cast by the MTV producers and directors which means that it wasn't cast by talent alone. It was cast for dramatic value as well. And if in fact there are girls on the show who have paid their dues, then power to them. They deserve it much more than someone who just stepped off the plane from graduation.
Its an advertising gimmick employed by Fox Theatricals. They think it will sell more tickets. Unlikely. None of these girls have the experience or proven skill necessary to take over a role such as this. The winner will be ostracized by the critics and the rest of the Broadway community because she hasn't paid her dues. Her path to broadway has been more than unconventional, the community will not embrace her, and I don't expect her run to last longer than 3, maybe 6 months.
And it's like they're turning the whole making-it-into-Broadway thing into a gimmick, a joke. People work incredibly hard just to finally land a B-way debut, and it's almost as if these girls are getting theirs by just playing around on a show made only for drama. It's like a slap in the face.
Exactly! Incredibly talented people work and train their entire lives to prepare for an opporotunitny like this. They work in as the waiters and waitresses. They do the 3 month summer stock, the $500 a month off off broadway show. They book year long tours through the midwest because they need apartment money. Its about paying your dues and proving to yourself and others that you deserve this.
I think the only good thing about this show, is that
A) It does give an Inside look on how they cast broadway ( according to EVEveryone involved in the shows production it's the real deal ) execpt for the whole living together
b) what they expect for a Legally Blonde Audition
C) hopefully the acctuall last note of SO MUch Better
and the big downside
it's a bad infuelce for young girls b/c these super skiny girls are told to lose weight; i'm sorry but a few look border anoreix (SP??)
They have to replace actors/actresses at SOME point..it's not like a movie where you do all your shooting, it's intense, but it's done in a few months or less. It's once a night show minimum plus rehearsals, plus promotions and stuff, plus trying to secure another job so you're not stuck when your contract is up, it's overwhelming. It's why a lot of people don't make it in the business, they can't keep up with it. Burnout is a major factor in showbiz..

Rhiannon needs to go though.. I like her personality.. but I just don't think she's good enough for broadway yet.

oh i know. which ones have been on broadway? or have they? cassie o was in the movie. i didn't notice her and saw the movie :embarrassed: i only ask about the broadway thing again, because H Duff says in the beginning of this that "none of you have been on broadway" and wasn't sure if that is in fact true. doesn't seem like it?

Ok you know what whoever is saying shit about lauren get over it.you havent even seen the episode yet and youre already talking about her. Lauren is one of my best friends and she told me already that bailey for a fact does not win!! So screw all of you who wanna talk shit. Bailey talks shit about Cassie s. all the time and she isnt considered a bitch. Rhiannon and lauren are actually very good friends if you went and clicked to add them on facebook and saw their conversations youd know that.

well mtv has this way of editing whoever the winner is into showing them every 5 minutes and making them seem like happy go lucky, down to earth contestant, and that's EXACTLY how they portray bailey. to me, mtv is pretty predictable.

ok so this is how the set up is going to go.
LBB is leaving SUNDAY JULY 20, the final eppisode will air, on MONDAY JULY 21, and the new elle we will be TUESDAY JULY 22 (my birthday)

I actually like it when MTV focuses on music based reality like this. The first few episodes have been interesting. Laura is gonna be hard to replace though. So far I think Natalie has the best voice.

2. who they are talking apart - "you all need to lose weight" if that is not taken out of context, that is what is wrong with body image in this country

only reason this show has maintained itself on broadway is because of MTV's support. It's not a very good musical. Only a couple of pleasant songs.

I know one of the girls on the show and she told me about the losing weight comment. Apparently the prod. were trying to create drama on the show. SO they gave the girls a Paper (the girl in the shot is holding) w/ ?s like "which of the girls needs to lose weight" and all the girls refused to answer. that clip is just of the girl saying to the producer "we are not going to look at one of our friends and be like 'we all think u need 2 lose weight' ". Its just producers manip. what was said...

They don't just pick random girls to be on the show. From what I have read, tons of girl have been through four years of college, in national tours, and working their ass of in New York. If they weren't die hard and talented they wouldn't be there. And Bernie Telsey and Jerry Mitchell WOULD NEVER jeaopordize their careers or the show itself by involving themselves in something they didn't that was true and or right. Its the real deal. This isn't Tila Tequila.

Yes, which is why Jerry Mitchell gets the final say in who stays and who goes. (As opposed to America *shudder*) Problem is, the show wasn't cast by Bernard Tesley and Jerry Mitchell. It was cast by the MTV producers and directors which means that it wasn't cast by talent alone. It was cast for dramatic value as well. And if in fact there are girls on the show who have paid their dues, then power to them. They deserve it much more than someone who just stepped off the plane from graduation.

Its an advertising gimmick employed by Fox Theatricals. They think it will sell more tickets. Unlikely. None of these girls have the experience or proven skill necessary to take over a role such as this. The winner will be ostracized by the critics and the rest of the Broadway community because she hasn't paid her dues. Her path to broadway has been more than unconventional, the community will not embrace her, and I don't expect her run to last longer than 3, maybe 6 months.

And it's like they're turning the whole making-it-into-Broadway thing into a gimmick, a joke. People work incredibly hard just to finally land a B-way debut, and it's almost as if these girls are getting theirs by just playing around on a show made only for drama. It's like a slap in the face.

Exactly! Incredibly talented people work and train their entire lives to prepare for an opporotunitny like this. They work in as the waiters and waitresses. They do the 3 month summer stock, the $500 a month off off broadway show. They book year long tours through the midwest because they need apartment money. Its about paying your dues and proving to yourself and others that you deserve this.

I think the only good thing about this show, is that
A) It does give an Inside look on how they cast broadway ( according to EVEveryone involved in the shows production it's the real deal ) execpt for the whole living together
b) what they expect for a Legally Blonde Audition
C) hopefully the acctuall last note of SO MUch Better
and the big downside
it's a bad infuelce for young girls b/c these super skiny girls are told to lose weight; i'm sorry but a few look border anoreix (SP??)

They have to replace actors/actresses at SOME point..it's not like a movie where you do all your shooting, it's intense, but it's done in a few months or less. It's once a night show minimum plus rehearsals, plus promotions and stuff, plus trying to secure another job so you're not stuck when your contract is up, it's overwhelming. It's why a lot of people don't make it in the business, they can't keep up with it. Burnout is a major factor in showbiz..
