  • 1:25 nice rubber guard!

  • @joshua82nd Well, aside from the hand facing the wrong direction, yeah. :-)

  • popper gay

  • SICK

  • That is pure Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Beautiful

  • Fuck Boxing after 2 or 3 fights in a row you be finished....jiu jitsu on the other hand..well their it is their

  • @eddiereyes1988 It's all conditioning. A low conditioned GJJ practictioner can barely last one round. Same as a low conditioned boxer.

  • @Iwishiwerethird I am a GJJ practictioner and i can last alot longer rolling with some1 rather than boxing.

  • @eddiereyes1988 So am I, but you don't remember the first itme you went a few minutes of rolling? You were wiped the firs time. Yeah, you probably get MORE wind with ground game, but neither is easy. But somebody who trains boxing conditioning constantly can probably last a long time with boxing, same as you and me with GJJ.

  • @Iwishiwerethird Yea but i mean the physical sport alone 1 vs the other i think you will get tired alot faster the first time boxing vs the first time rolling to me its simple wrestling is what we do naturally EVERY1 has done it but you use alot more force and speed and timing with boxing....you will get tired faster

  • @eddiereyes1988 True, my only counter arguement would be that the first time most people roll, they go all out trying to muscle through everything which is VERY tiring. Once you learn the subtleties and you settle into a relaxed mindset (GJJ is more about opportunity and using their momentum against themselves rather than power adn brute force) then yes, I would agree that GJJ practitioners have more stamina.

  • I'm a 2nd degree black belt in judo and a brown belt in Bjj and I don't think I would have a chance against this guy. The Gracies are in another league when it comes to pure ground fighting. I like to do a lot of high level moves but what they teach you is keep it simple and basic.

  • @gungfu777 Incredible isnt it !!? its like their using white/blue belt level stuff in bjj and MMA. btw, props on judo and bjj belts. i aspire to reach your level. cheers.

  • @hummurabi2010 Ha, that's because MMA stands up after 15 seconds if there isn't some punching going on or a definitive submission. REAL Jiu Jitzu can take a considerable amount of time to set stuff up. But today's bare-knuckle society wants a knockout, not actual talent. :(

  • The speed the Gracies have! Like holy shat they are my idols when it comes to Ju-jitsu :)

  • Him to death with it and while I was at it I probably would of beat his brother to you guys are lame I'm tougher than all you guys now

  • @FULLIMP4CT Aww Mr. Tough Guy internet warrior.

Grow up kid. Plenty of LEGIT people have made such claims and been choked unconscious. What makes you think a 14 year old behind his computer watching Karate Kid and 80's Kung Fu movies will do any better?

  • If I was there I would snapped his arm off then beat hi. To

  • i think the german (DeutcherKonnig) idiot need a takedown and a choke, im 100% sure that he crys for his parents after 10 sec in a fight!

stupid big dont talk about the royal gracies, never! talk about mariah carey thats your turn!

  • @GrGlen707 you obviously dont watch bully beatdown

  • At least once in my life I want to roll with one of the gracies :)

  • @Mr4433 I got to roll with Ryron and I will probably roll with Rener soon. Great guys! Absolutely great Jiu Jitsu! The Best!

  • @Mr4433 Are you gay? Trust me, you'd have way more fun fighting someone like Tank Abbot. Unless you are a purple belt or above, rolling with a Gracie has no value. Royce used to wrap his legs around guys' diaphragm and they'd tap because couldn't get a lung full of air. If you want to piss one off, grab a finger and twist it. They really hate that. Fucks up their technique when simple things like breaking a finger successfully counters their "scientific" moves. lol

  • @DeutcherKonnig - Fucking troll, go fuck yourself. You are so goddamn stupid that you dont deserve an explination on why I would want to train with one of the gracies.

  • @Mr4433 Calm down, Tinkerballs. I've rolled with plenty of queerbates and only when they look at me with "goo goo" eyes did it ever bother me. One Asian at the Torrance Gracie Academy would love to watch me shower and then hand me a towel... I lasted 12 minutes once with Royce before he caught me. (I let him win out of respect) Take my advice and go to the Lions Den you big pussy.

  • @DeutcherKonnig - your're full of shit, and are awarded a black belt in youtube commenting.

  • @Mr4433 When Royce handed me a purple belt, it was satisfying. Then, when I got my first stripe taped on (that's how he does it), I really felt like the "shit." Of course I was tapping everyone as a 2 stripe blue belt because of my athleticism and size. Rorion would kindly ask me to not use my "strength" when rolling, to focus on sheer technique. When I won the nationals, a sambo artist spent about 40 hours with me teaching the devastating leg cranks the Gracies only show insiders. U gay?

  • Respond to this video...Actually, you're the one full of shit. When there's a line at the drinking fountain (Torrance gym), everyone steps aside to let me drink. That's what you call respect. You have too small a cock to come by the Torrance Academy and roll with me you weak Nelly. But on youtube, you'll talk shit. heh heh My nickname there is the "CLAW." Bring your neck when you're in the area chump. I'd love to whisper sweet nothings into your ear as you fade into la la land

  • @DeutcherKonnig - First off, someone who actually trains has more respect for the people he trains with to cut them at the fucking drinkin fountain you lieing douche, TROLL. I can tell you are just spaming by your comment, nobody that i have ever been associated with in jiu jitsu would ever post such a retarded statement.

  • @DeutcherKonnig - Remove the keyboard, and you have nothing.

  • @Mr4433 So are you going to "grace" us with your presence at the Torrance Academy you silly little bed wetter, or are you going to continue masturbating to my training video's? You gay?

  • @DeutcherKonnig - The gracies wouldnt allow such a pathetic imbread like you anywhere near the academy. Nazi homo.

  • @Mr4433 Thanks so much for sharing that you get wet & sweaty fantasizing about rolling with a Gracie? Jujitsu is the purrfect sport for you gay people.

  • @canofcrass - Your nightly butt sex is considered gay. There is nothing gay about jiujitsu. Only some weird sexually confused asshole like you would think its gay.

  • honestly just bcuz u dont do mma doesnt mean your a shitty fighter, it all depends of the person's fighting skills, dont get too cocky just bcuz u do mma dont mean u can beat up a non mma fighter.. anything can happen in a fight, plus im not the type of person likes to wrap my legs around another guy.. kinda gay and feels like they wanna have gay sex with you

  • @MrGlen707 hehehe it feels gay until they start choking you or break your arm :)

  • @MrGlen707 thats because you take it as a joke and one guy probably started all that shit because he didnt like this guy that did wrestling

  • @steeeeker your an idiot... this is not old school jiu jitsu.

  • Excelente variações das técnicas do ju-jutsu.

  • Rener is a headek for any tuff guy... i can tell you!

  • I agree with that...I ll take what ever you some one gives me. wrist lock, armbar choke, kneebar heel hook etc. No rules so i can attack all of your joints. If all plans are crap.. wouldn't kicking scratching and biting etc be a plan? Since an idea prior to the event about what you are going to do in the event is a plan? So your style is just as much a plan as mine.

  • all 15 of em coulda jst done a damn elbow escape>??

  • see from 202 to 314 or whatever he conserved all his energy while forcing the other guy to struggle and waste his making him 30x easier to submit

  • i would consider it an honor to get triangled or armlocked by rener gracie

  • my jujitsu better

  • How proud does Rorion look watching on...

  • @jeff61177 now you talk ahit on this link too???? Hahahaha little Jeffrey fuck off dude

  • Someone grab a chair and pound the snot out of that arrogant jagwad. dont teach the military that crap. I could beat all the gracies in a rown with a 30 round clip and an m-16

  • I am going to attempt to clear this up right now. BJJ/GJJ is a SPORT. It's techniques are highly effective in a SPORT environment. In a real fight (lifen n death) I would bite, eye gouge, tear at vital points etc. Primal evil dirty fighting. This is why most traditional martial arts stick to mostly stand up techniques. Because no one wants to bring a conflict to that vital dangerous level. civilized fighting. Bjj is equalized with ALL other martial styles when you add a real imminent situation.

  • @jeff61177 lol you're a funny guy!

  • @jeff61177 you don't know what your talking about this is not a sport it's self defence i chalenge you to try anything you want against a BJJ instructur and fight i think would by far last 5 minutes

  • @xXRauseXx1 It's a sport. Period. You don't know anything about the martial arts bud. I have tried quite a few things on my BJJ instructor. There is a line most people won't cross to defend themselves, and is imposssible to practice in a SPORT. Biting eye gouging, tearing at vital parts of the body, pressure points, and small joint manipulation can make any BJJ useless. Not to mention a good stance and accurate striking.

  • @jeff61177 Bull shit. Fine you may bite me if i have you in an armlock but promise you i m taking your arm off. and when on the ground they shouldnt be close enough to use any of that until you attain position and by then its all over.

  • @TJH6408 saying what your going to do in a fight is nonsense. because a fight evolves naturally, all plans are bull crap, you can have a strategy but saying you are going to get me in an armlock is cocky and stupid.

  • @jeff61177

Gameplans are what win fights. Knowing what you are going to do before hand is essential in any type of combat. Going without a gameplan is like playing American football without a playbook. Each move you plan has at least two contingencies depending on what the opponent does, but the goal is always to force them to play your game and not be forced into a reactionary stance. Enforcing your gameplan ensures this control and seduces your opponent into your trap.

  • @rufus566 85% of the people making comments here are trying to sound tough. I made a statement a while back that I dont care for the gracies because they are not people of upstanding morality. then i get fight advice and outrageous claims. yawn. this is pointless. game plans are for games, like UFC and this ring ego bull trip. self defense is about survival and reality. not winning a belt. its completely different. in life people dont fight man to man for 10 rounds. its all illusion.

  • @jeff61177

You have seen the first UFC's when they only had two rules (no eye gouging and no fish-hooking). Gracie had no clue who he was going to face before he walked out into the cage, yet he had a gameplan of kick out the knee, take them down and try for the choke first. Also, there is a difference between BJJ sport and GJJ self defense which teaches you stuff like eye gouging, joint manipulation and groin shots along with positioning to help you run away. Ignorance will get you killed.

  • @rufus566 You should take your own advice. I am never done learning, I AM however done commenting about that arrogant ass family the Gracies.

  • @jeff61177 The Gracies do tend to be full of themselves for sure. Must be all the melon they eat. What do you expect from dirt poor fuckers that started out in a garage, eventually making it and selling their snake oil version of fighting to even the military. What pissed me off about them is they try to make training at their gyms a "cult" experience. Dudes, we just like to fight...we're not into all that family mystic bullshit. Rorian, a lot of your shit just plain doesn't work, $ grubber

  • @DeutcherKonnig thats easy to say over the internet :^)

  • crazy bjj skills

  • reverse triangle choke.....nice

  • As lutas sempre no chão!

  • I have to remember a few of those techniques for my competition tomorrow.

  • i love how evident it is that the Gracies dont even want to IMMEDIATELY destroy their opponents.. they take their mat to the back from the start receiving the disadvantage, and take their time in choking out their opponent. Even so, those poor fellas never had a chance.

  • @canabal72994 since when has putting your back on the floor been a disadvantage in a no striking match... i know tons of guys that will always pull guard because it is advantageous for them

  • @durfys12 if u look at the positions they start in, theyre clearl meant to receive the disadvantage.. im not saying being on ur back is always bad, but in those positions, it was

  • Heres the thing Eddie Bravo didnt invent the rubber guard he improved on it. Did he win at adcc yes he did. Is he the best? No one can answer that. That is someones opinion. Is Eddie Bravo a great bjj practitioner? Absolutely. Is Rener? Absolutely. They just differ is styles which is fine. Thats what makes this sport great is differing styles. We can all learn from eachother. Listen to Genki Sudo "we are all one".

  • Chuck Norris could beat Gracie in anything even in BJJ insted of submitting him he was just stare at him until his brain blew up like that bear in the one of his movies lmfao

  • its funny how when one of those eddie bravo nut-huggers see anything remotely like a rubber guard they are all over it. U see U see rubber guard!!!!! OMG rubber guard!!!!! believe in it!!!!!!!. i urge u guys to get eddie to come out and cosistently prove his bubble guard is legit and not feed off one win.

  • @GHRepresent

True. And the most important thing: Eddie Bravo didn't invent anything, he just profited on one of the many aspects of BJJ, which he learned from master JJ Machado.

  • @LupusRexRgis - SHOW AND PROVE EDDIE BRAVO DID NOT INVENT THE RUBBER GUARD!!! I have been rolling since 1999 with the best. I have been taught by Marcelo Garcia, Renzo Gracie, I've trained with Straight Blast Gym, and Fabio Clamente and I have NEVER seen the rubber guard before Eddie Bravo. Show and prove dude!

  • @ajahni You poor jackass obviously didn't even know what BJJ was back in 1996 when "Nino" won the Brazilian Championships with his "flexible guard"... If you watch Renzo fighting Otsuka in Pride 8 (1999), he was also using those same principles. Again, Eddie Bravo he didn't "invent" anything. Yes, he upgraded those positions for sure, gave them some names, so he could call his own (smart marketing move), but he didn't INVENT anything...

  • Comment removed

  • @LupusRexRgis - The rubber guard is an entire system. Yes Nino Shembre may have used instep chokes from the guard, but that's it. The rubber guard is a comprehensive system that Nino Schembre as dynamic as he is, did not invent or put together. As far a Renzo is concerned, I went to Renzo's academy in NYC... Sorry no rubber guard was taught there. I was there when Rodrigo and the Serra brothers were brown belts and Renzo damn near taught EVERY CLASS.

  • @ajahni And if you still don't want to believe me, I couldn't care less. Have a good time.

  • @ajahni alright @ajahni if your going to make me I will.... the "rubber guard" was not invented by Eddie Bravo like a few other people writing comments they know the answer too. Nino Schembri is the person credited with the invention of the "rubber guard". Which at the time was called the "flexible guard". I will say once again though that Eddie Bravo has put his own twist on it and done very well with it. I've got respect for Eddie, but he didnt invent the "rubber guard".

  • @jayjay185 - Nino has two moves that are in the Rubber Guard. Those two things are a kind of Go Go Plata where he chokes his opponent with his instep and a control to set up the triangle. The rest is not the comprehensive set that is the Rubber Guard. A lot of cultures have same alphabet, but it’s how they put those letters together that make up different languages. Eddie has taken the Alphabet of BJJ & created his own style with it. All videos on Bravo's website is free until Sept 1st.

  • @ajahni Oct 1st numb nuts.

  • @ajahni Wrong try again just like @LupusRexRgis stated earlier he didnt invent it. Other people were using it before Eddie was. Just look it up man. Its a fact. You can find vids before Eddie put his stamp ont it. I will say this again Eddie brought it to where it is today, but he didnt invent it. Sorry man.

  • Good video.Thanks for sharing.

  • lol at the fools thinking everything to do with the rubber guard was invented by eddie.

  • it's this a coincidence?? that rener exccidentally do a rubber guard?? (soe if my eng suck! :P)

  • his rubber guard wasnt done properly

    its under not over

when your hand is over your opponent can easily stack you or go through

under hand he cant stack or pass you

coz the forearm is preventing that

any 10th planet practitioner would tell you that

yes he did do the zombie

    ill give it that much

im not hating or anything , just pointing out the mistake

  • Rener was doing it for control and was waiting for a reaction. Notice how when the guy wasn't doing anything Rener went back into closed guard.

And his right foot was placed in a way that he would initiate the elevator sweep if the guy did try to stack.

In the long years of Jiu-Jitsu being around some techniques that developed independently of each other are bound to converge. That arm hugging under can be viewed even as just a modified punch block stage 1 cause it makes sense to hug the leg

  • thats because he wasn't doing the rubber guard.

traditional jiu jitsu has always had this kind of control.

    nino schembri

    brualio estima

  • @Donpaeng

    Youtube -

They Sold Their Souls For Rock And Roll

  • yeah wateve that is... rener still win the match btw hehe ;P

  • you're going to presume that the second oldest grandson of Helio Gracie did it "wrong"? I laugh at you!

  • ACTUALLY..He DID do it correctly. That is how it was always done and the original way to do. Eddie modified it. Doesn't make the original way incorrect...just doing a different version.

  • rubber guard at a gracie invent?

  • "HEY GUYS.i made a new account and i decided to show people wat mma is all about. i am a boxer and a juijitsu white belt, im going to give people a chance to see me grow as a mixed martial artist. ill be bloging and posting my training sessions and tournements, come subscribe and watch me grow as a person, watch me grow as a mixed martial artist with Renzo Gracie and Gleasons boxing gym."

  • did he just do the zombie move at 1:28 to 1:34?

  • Comment removed

  • looks like robbie is just a hater..maybe rubber gaurd was used by someone else before eddie but did they set up an elaborate system like 10th planet? did they make an effort to explore the endless transitions that the 10th planet team has? didnt think so....

  • Eddie Bravo is a bullshit artist who gave a bunch of moves gay ass names. He's overrated and only has one fluke win to his name and stopped competing.

  • i personally train under shawn williams at Hollywood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. he developed a type of guard that was very similar to a position in the rubber guard some years ago. neither he nor eddie bravo knew what the other was doing, being that they were training and competing on separate ends of the country. he has developed the guard into a small system. but, if you really want to talk about the rubber guard and it's inventor, take a look at nino schembri.

  • just wondering dont u think bjj isnt appropriate for army because lets say i want to go 2 their army base secretly, i would want to finish the army asap before they started to scream for help. if ur rolling on the ground, it would b very risky.

  • i'm just wondering, are you fucking retarded? it's one aspect of what you'll learn in the army, ie ground fighting, you think seals will start a roll with al-qaeda ops in a covert mission?

  • No,Actually its Just one style,In MCMAP (Thats the Marine Corp Martial Arts program) a High ranked Officer had the idea of taking the most effective arts, and training these Marine Warriors in them,A Man who lives and breathes combat says BJJ is effective,I'll take his word over some keyboard warrior

  • @yeee941 Very profound.

  • what are you talking about? are you saying as a US army soldier that you would go to a enemies base and kill all the army before they "screamed" or got help? just to clear this up, this will never happen. BUT! the reason the army uses grappling is because 90% of all fights end up on the ground, and you take the most damage standing. in the late 90s or sometime around there a army ranger Matt Larson helped create Modern Army Combatives which utilized a lot of gracie techniques and other styles

  • OK its a bunch of nobs he is fighting.

  • 99.999% of the world population would be a noob against one of the Gracies. Not many people would stand against them.

  • @nomadito Sakuraba?

  • @nomadito Not unless you also trained BJJ and were actually knowledgeable about the art :D

  • hes fighting US army soldiers, theyre pretty tough..

  • it looks like it, but those guys look like soldiers to me, and if im not mistaken the usa teaches gracie combatives to their soldiers. they're not noobs, hes just really fluid with his style.

  • sweet transition from Kimura to arm bar

  • americana

  • I've never been able to discern a diffinitive difference in those two moves is there a difference?

  • yeahh a kimura is when ur arm is bent wrist down. and an americana is wrist up. they do essentially the same thing though. fuckk up the shoulder/elbow

  • well youve never trained then have you.

  • Good Triangle at 0.55

  • and he does gangster lean to triangle at the end around 4:14

  • true

  • well yea he had wrong hand positioning when he was at new york he had his right hand over the top of his leg not wrist to ankle.well that MAY be true that using your leg to break someones posture has been going on b4 eddie bravo but he made a whole system on it that u CANT say has been going on b4 him cause b4 him we didnt noe that guard can be utilized the way his system has made it.

  • are my eyes decieving me or did rener use rubber guard?

  • you did but he sucks at it. his whole game pretty much sucks without the gi.

  • well how can you say his game sucks without the gi when in this video you are only seeing him roll with people who barely have jiujitsu experience and he is most likely TOYING with them.have you rolled with rener?

  • iv never rolld with him b4 but he's going 100% technique wise and you can tell by watching him he just sucks with out the gi.

  • he might be better in the gi.... but i think sucks is a bit strong. haha

  • I don't know, just because you grab your leg doesn't mean you're using rubber guard... And besides, if you call it that you'll get 10th Planeters like ph33ric saying he sucks at it. Grabbing your leg to break someone's posture has been going on looooong before Eddie Bravo.

  • You are correct...Shawn Williams in the old days used to use the "rubber Guard" before Eddie Bravo was even known to his little followers..lots of people should review their jiu jitsu history lessons...lol

  • Eddie Bravos a flamer

  • The Gracie's are all about street self defense that can be taught to anyone regardless of size or athletic ability. However when they are asked about using moves that require increased flexibility like rubber guard they say if you can go ahead. They just want you to know how to defend yourself and they don't teach it because not everyone can learn it.

  • Pretty much any "gay grappler" will put you unconscious in about 30 seconds if they want to...

  • Rener is the real deal. I certainly wouldn't call those guys blue belts but they did seem to have some level of new guy training as suggest earlier here.

  • Just to add, the Army and Marines just learn very basic jiu jnitsu and hand to hand, just enough for them to survive to get a weapon. The only ones who are any good are the ones who pursue jiu jitsu on the side..so no one should expect an Army or Marine to beat even a jiu jitsu blue belt..most of them are stiil at whitebelt level or "new" blue belt level.

  • Some of those guys looked decent. I would say AT LEAST blue belt level. The would posture up when they could (before Rener broke them back down.) They would keep the arms in tight (until Rener stretched it out and ripped it off.) They seemed to defend fairly well and work for the pass. Now obviously Rener is going to catch them all eventually because...well...he's freaking Rener but I was actually impressed with some of the ground work from the Army guys. Well done.

  • ninjamurf, I don't know where you train, but if you thought any of those guys looked like anything but 1-3 month White belts, either you or your school have some lax requirements. Everyone had NO base, and whenever they were mounted, they all thrashed and bucked around until they got triangled or armbared.

  • Well my instructor is an 8th degree red/black belt under Rolls/Rickson. And I don't think you realize how good Rener actually is. He could have brown belts mounted and make them look like spastic newbies. The first guy tries to slide a knee through Rener's open guard, not something a newbie does. He fights to keep Rener from getting hand control. Second guy is just outclassed but he's trying to do a lot of things right. He's looking to the sky as Rener tries to break him down...

  • ...he's TRYING to posture up but again, it's freaking Rener Gracie, not another blue belt. Third guy falls for a slick little ankle lock, NOT a newbie move. He also defends the Americana well until Rener spins it into an armbar. 4th guy didn't show much but, again, he was mounted by Rener freaking Gracie for most of the time. 5th guy, again, mounted by Rener=DONE.

  • sorry ninja. I've trained for 10 years as of 9 days ago. I do agree that a few of the guys look like they have "some" experience. But not blue belt level. Not one of those guys showed the base, posture, balance, calmness, etc. of a blue belt. I know Rener is amazing, but it doesn't matter who the opponent is when viewing someone roll. You can still tell 8/10 times if someone is good or not. These guys just haven't probably done anything except the 1st level Army H2H program.

  • Mike is dead on, Rener or not they would still have correct form while rolling. More than likely they all have taken or are currently taking the 36 lesson Combatives course that the army teaches, the combatives course doesn't offer real live rolling..just "simulation" drills...so that would explain the still spastic techniques of the soldiers.

  • One of the marines had some technique, the one who successfully defended the paintbrush by grabbing his arm with his other arm, but he made the classic error of holding it too long and got armbarred. The others had almost no training, and certainly no experience training with anyone with any technique. Probably just spazzing out with each other and taking that cornball "Gracie Combatives" course. At one point you can hear someone say "see that's that triangle move we were talking about".

  • I apologize for the cornball remark, I just think a workshop setting like that is no substitute for normal academy based training where you get to regularly spar with people who are much better than you.

  • I don't know how your 8th deg Rolls/Rickson teaches his classes, but here in Brazil sliding a knee through the open guard is a basic move, learnt at the very first classes of a white belt... just after the opening-the-guard lesson :)

  • I love this clip because every technique used by Gracie is very basic. It's all stuff you'd learn in the first 3 months of BJJ training. He applies the techniques expertly.

  • yep, that's what is so solid about the way the Gracie's teach. It's all about control and basics.

  • first saw royce gracie in the octogen years ago on video no one could touch him.watching ground fightin makes me tense and sweaty loads ov respect for em. good fighting it is..

  • Hahahahaha! The army came to my school once and they had a jiu jitsu representative (army trained obviously not a gracie) and i submitted him with a kimura in like 45 seconds.

  • yeah right and my name is clark kent. I can fly and shoot fireballs from my eyes, once an asteroid the size of a planet was about to crash our galaxy so I kicked it like a football in another dimension, in like 35 seconds.

  • Rofl.

  • Malcomxxx23:

If you were ever foolish enough to strike a gracie in a grappling match you would get KO'ed instantly. That, or you would have a limb snapped in half. You are nothing.

  • and then hed sweep you into mount and completely obliterate you

  • lol funny comment you probably one of those fat kid who just good to tape on a computer . You have no idea of what is a trainned person in bjj

  • if you sucker punched a gracie in the face, he would apply a choke until you died and then bury you in a shallow unmarked grave next to the interstate.

  • @jmil147 if you sucker punched a gracie in the face, he would apply a choke, make you tap, help you up, then teach you why just punches and kicks are ineffective in a real fight. then give you some healthy food according to the gracie diet.

  • @jmil147 what if you live somewhere that doesn't have an interstate like hawaii? what then? see gracie jiu jitsu doesn't always work.

  • @jmil147 If I sucker punched a Gracie, he would need to go to ICU.

  • I dig the rubber guard type thing at 1:36.

  • I saw it and it had a mistake.. Eddie bravo told you never but your arm under the leg when you hold like that. It's called "london" and it can be counter by one technique and with that technique you can pass the guard..

  • it was called the shawn williams guard before bravo even got his black belt. You wont be passin this guard if done right.

  • So anything a person does before his Black Belt doesn't count? LMAO! Whether Sean came up with it or Eddie or some guy in a cellar before both of them doesn't matter, but to think everything a person accomplishes or does before BB is meaningless is downright silly.

  • Especially in an art like BJJ, where a blackbelt is pretty much a god to be worshipped in all their incredible grappling ass-whooping glory.

Most blue belts have the skills to teach, and most purples are qualified to open their own schools. My instructor's a purple, and all eight of our competitiors in the nationals last year placed podium in their weight classes.

  • its "williams guard"

eddie call this "london" but throw it out because of cartwheels pass counters

  • Well I heard it from a vid in Submission101 channel where there was Eddies lesson where he told that that position was basicly taken away from 10th plan because it was so easy to pass.

That's the reason why you never keep the hand under the leg put hug the knee..
