Fans tend to over power Dr. Manhattan due to the popularity of the Watchmen...which is quite understandable.Read the old comics...Galactus is a force of nature...on a cosmic scale. First off Galactus is an abstract. He isnt what u see, he is what u wish to see. Galactus was formed when the old universe collasped into him during the "Big Crunch". Dr Manhattan is nothing compared to him. So what he was disintegrated and reformed. Galactus disintergrated Norrin Radd and turned him into the Surfer.

I don't think that there is anything in the universe that can possibly stop Manhattan. He can turn superman's blood into kryptonite, deatomise mostly anyone, and if he can't he can at least see it coming from decades away.

His greatest weakness would probably against people with mind control or other beings of pure energy.

With that said, Galactus has gotten his ass whooped plenty of times, and Manhattan didn't. And also not to mention that Manhattan is somehow more realistic than Gala

We very rarely see Galactus at full power, even while starving though he can utterly pwn enitre planets and galaxys. Manhattan has never once displayed the ability to destroy planets or Galaxys. And he himself can teleport individuals and galaxies millions and billions of parsecs apart from each other all on levels you can't even begin to compherend. Galactus's strengh, endurance, stanima and intellegence are all beyond any known method of calculation. The only thing that would to kill Galactus is the Big Crunch which will the end omniverse. Read some comics.

However, as seeing Galactus destroys planets to consume the cosmic energy within and Doc Manhatten is basically energy (not to mention that the nature of Dr Manhatten's attacks doesn't even sync with anything that's ever hurt Galactus), I'd probably give the edge to Galactus.
