No, the most effective future source of energy will be nuclear energy, fission, and the Sun itself, there is no other way. The alternative energy efficient idea is that we recognize the maximum population on this planet and enforce it
I'm not liking the math in this video at all..like +53% energy consumtion and +55 % pollutiontoo>16% and 11% ? and +55% more polution is not saying that the global emission of CO2 is increasing with 55% it says the pollution that The human creates goes up with 55% that's like going from 3% to 4,65% not so dramatic as they say, but not to forget too. And all the procceses to create the platics for isolation for millions of homes is going to raise that number even more.synergethic homes > future
In 2012 the suns poles are goanna switch and will send billions of tons of solar flare radiation towards are planet and things will just get hotter and hotter until people as a whole can become more efficient

This guys is a retard. I don't believe in global warming for a minute its a load of bullshit. BUT we will run out of resources the way this is going. Instead of having more people to feed and wasteful americans to use our resources why don't we stop producing? Im almost looking forward to 2012 for an almost fresh start.
so then we have renewable energy sources and a non co2 emitting resource and if you've ever heard of ethonal bio diesel which doesn't use any oil the enginges they make for these vehichles are more powerful and have more fuel economy keep in mind they don't use oil all we have to do has humans is leave enough land for agriculture and outdoor play and not use plastics in stead use metal glass or wood and we will maintain a stable and healthy environment with out wars
Who ever made this video is uneducated on electricity they've never heard of solar power, hydro power, and wind energy which only hydro isn't but the others are non used sources that aren't even touched in the production of the energy and does not create and co2
I don't understand... they can shove 1 trillion bits of information through a tiny cable in one second, they can't make a fucking car run on wind-generated electricity? Wake up people, the oil's gonna dry up in a few decades and then we'll have shit. You can believe global warming isn't real or you can believe it is real, either way it doesn't change the fact that the oil wikll eventually dry up. We might as well tap other resources now so that we don't have a crisis when it does dry up.
Humm? All that great propaganda provided to you by WHO? A Chemical company!!!!! Humm? Do you think they have something to gain form us not changing anything about what we use for energy, so that they can keep creating chemically based products.
nabeel, i hope your right, cuz im ready to bone till i have 85% of the worlds population as kids, then ill open a baby clubbing park to prevent seal clubbing
can you prove it? i can point to periods of time when the earth was much hotter than it is now and that was long before humans existed. was that our fault too or are you going to adjust your arguement? lets not even mention the fact that one volcanic eruption spews more CO2 than all humanity for a year. but im sure thats our fault too, eh?
Congratulations, video. You've pointed out the most vague solutions to the most complex problems. Now you should try suggesting some utterly impossible solutions that would actually do something to help... Technology is the problem, not the solution. Unless we all go back to the stone age, the world is probably going to be destroyed.
@bentheiburg the problem isn't technology. it's actually part of the solution. the problem is more of human culture lag and the monetary economic system not being fast enough to adapt to modern technology and findings.
@itsthegreenplatypus I believe it's less of an argument of how "helpful" I am and more of the fact that I'm being realistic.
@syk0saje Isn't that a bit of a utopian mindset though? It's never going to happen, so let's stop trying to push human culture to places it likely won't go.
Proof that alternative energy still won't work: Resources to build turbines, solar panels, etc. require fossil fuels to MAKE. It's self-destructive. We don't need to find methods to allow our current ways to continue.
@bentheiburg Well there is 2 ways we can fix this problem. We can go back too the stone age, or all work together and pool in in order to increase the process of new technology alot quicker. If we had the technology to create Nuclear Fusion reactors then many of our energy problems would be solved. Of course we don't.
@bentheiburg : Nay to the doomsayer. We are on the brink of becoming a type 1-civilisation (controlling the planet earth's weather(yes also global warming), resources, etc.). It is a dangerous transition, but not an impossible one. Inventions like nuclear fusion, super rice, houses on the sea, fotosynthetic houses, nanotechnology, recycling co2... They are going to help the planet, and for all humans. What we should do is a law on how many children.
@bentheiburg So what you're saying is - technology, or the creative solution of problems, is itself a problem, and that we need to go back to being mindless animals driven by instinct if we are to "save the world".
Have I gotten the general idea of your comment? Do you realize how stupid it is?
@DrCruel But it really depends on your definition of "stupid". Stupid in the sense that we're back at living in caves? Make a compare and contrast, early man danced around the fire like mindless freaks, wearing torned clothes or just a piece of leaf covering private area. But even if we're to go back and live in a cave, will we really wear just a piece of leaf!? Will we actually dance around the fire like mindless freaks? Of course not!
@DrCruel Bentheiburg was just simply saying to make your house like a cave which belongs to an early man, not literally, of course. But to live without huge consumption of electricity in your house, just like how the people lived in stone age. Maybe a little more advanced than stone age, where electricity is only used for the necessities. This should be enough to save the world and to save our asses.
@polarspirit Technology implies nothing more than the application of human machines to problems. Finding mechanical solutions is not inherently self-destructive. Using energy is not "bad". As for managing our resources, simple market forces do that admirably.
mmm maybe reading some marx will give you some insight... sorry for the asshole thing... am not an american and probably is a pretty heavy insult... the thing is that women education isn't the most radical factor not even much significant in population growth... so it sounds pretty sexist although you are not a sexist
between 2010 n 2015 we will reach the inflection point on population growth, thus moving slow toward max population, it isn't true that population growth is always exponential, it is a sine wave!
100% correct! if woman were more educated, less and less would have children at such a yound age. im a 22 year old male, and every other woman i go out with already happens to have at least one kid. so hard to find a well educated, mentally balanced, single female with no children.
BASF, does of course not spill any junk on purpose. Why would BASF do that ? To ruin their image ?
Technology, especially new technology, sometimes evokes problems which might have benn a cause for spilling chemicals in sees or oceans. The thing is, though, that these investigations are for a grater good, a better and healthier world.
Furthermore, genetic modification is not automatically damaging, it simply is changed, changed for higer efficiancy, to be able to feed humanity.
1.3 children for 2 parents. Is hardly an increase, unless 2+2=5. CO2 naturally increases and decreases, proven in ice core samples. BASF also ruins food with genetic modification. The leading authority on climate change is always getting caught in lies (IPCC and CRU) and under investigation for fraud. BASF has been caught and sued numerous times for dumping chemicals in water supplies.
Nice vid criminals. How about you stop destroying our water and food? Now there's a plan!!!!!!! GET BENT!!!!
well by that time we will have different ways to get energy like the project scientists are making look it up there are lots of idea's we have to do something about it
in order to live good lives in the future to make our world a better place..
the population increase because somebody is born every second as we speak. popution decrease because people die every second, even as we speak rite now so can they kno what the population will be by then?
This guy is short sighted. We only need geothermal energy. The earth produces 2000 zetajoules of energy a year. that is 4000 years worth of energy demand met. Get real.
@NoogLeader The worlds energy needs cannot be supplied by just one energy source. Rather, we need a hybrid of many energy sources. A little solar, geothermal, wind, hydroelectric, and tidal power will be more than enough.
However, if we discover functional fusion, all our energy needs will be solved and no hybrid will be needed. Just one power source; clean, efficient, fusion.
Fusion isn't possible. The pressures needed can't be achieved on earth. The best source of energy is geothermal. The only limitation is drilling depth. Once Nanocomposite/quasicrystaline metal and materials become available for drill bits drill depths of 20 kilometers or more will be available. We could have geothermal everywhere. Geothermal energy is capable of supplying all our energy needs using hydrogen as a storage medium. Solar energy, wind, water all come from the sun ultimately.
@NoogLeader I have to disagree. Fusion power is possible on earth. In fact we have done it many times now. The only problem that we face is keeping it going. What happens is small convection currents develop within the tocamack reactor and cool it down below critical mass. However, we are currently working on a bigger reactor that will basically negate those currents and hopefully be the first self sustained fusion. One fusion power plant can produce 100 times the energy as fission.
"Fusion isn't possible. The pressures needed can't be achieved on earth."
People like you in the past said that human voice can never be captured and reproduced by a machine; that trains will never go faster than 20 kph; that 640kB is enough for everyone; that an airplane larger than DC-3 will never be able to fly. All of them were wrong. There are limits to what humanity can achieve, but right now we are nowhere close to them.
The problem in this case is Physics and Natural Laws. People like you thought that we would live on colonies on the Moon and Mars by now and we would have all our food dilivered in pill form. There are physical limits to what you can and cannot do.
The only problem is money. There is no need for it anymore. Our technology can produce abundance for all with a minimal amount of human effort/work. Artificial Scarcity is necessary for the price system to function. Once you can produce things for dirt cheap the system brakes down. Moon colonies are more expensive then Houses on the Earth but what they could produce makes them more valuable. Why then have we not colonized the moon. The artificial barrier of MONEY?
@NoogLeader Uh, yes, that's basically what I just said plus some nonsence about "artificial scarcity" and "there is no need for money anymore". Try watching less libtard youtube videos.
Actually Geothermal Energy can be produced anywhere. Only limit right now is drilling depth which is about to increase significantly with the use of qausicrystalline drill bits. Not to mention the fact that you can drill far less deep using something other then water as the energetic conveyor. Argon or some other liquefied inert gas would do. With increased technology the better the world would be and the less resources we would need. Getting rid of money isn't a libtard idea anyway.
Surviving off only one source of energy is like putting all your eggs in one basket. not a good long term plan. i don't think they're being "short sighted" at all.
westcovinamexican needs to think you would be right if per capita energy use stayed the same as today. but with china and india wanting western rates of energy use it cannot remain the same
After being told that a cow emits more in a week than a single car in it's lifetime, I feel like a bit of an idiot when I recycle a bottle. I say we just stop eating burgers. No more obesity, no more cows =D
... And that's why I don't work for the government xP
The planet is fine... Been here for 4.5 billion years... and we existed for about 100-200 thousand years. and we have been in heavy industry for about over 200 years... 4.5 billion vs 200years. The planet is fine... THE PEOPLE, ARE FUCK!!! Difference! Yupp... we are going away! Pack your shit folks!
I reckon this video only talks about improving what we have we need to focus on new types of energy not just killing the Earth with using more oil and crap the sun has enough energy to power the whole planet 100x over we should be using that
The production of this video is a waste of energy.....

so then we have renewable energy sources and a non co2 emitting resource and if you've ever heard of ethonal bio diesel which doesn't use any oil the enginges they make for these vehichles are more powerful and have more fuel economy keep in mind they don't use oil all we have to do has humans is leave enough land for agriculture and outdoor play and not use plastics in stead use metal glass or wood and we will maintain a stable and healthy environment with out wars
naterthagator 1 year ago

We might as well tap other resources now so that we don't have a crisis when it does dry up.

can you prove it? i can point to periods of time when the earth was much hotter than it is now and that was long before humans existed. was that our fault too or are you going to adjust your arguement? lets not even mention the fact that one volcanic eruption spews more CO2 than all humanity for a year. but im sure thats our fault too, eh?
jawbone83 1 year ago 2
something about the ga-trillions of automobiles on the road pumping CO2?
I'm not sure there was as much CO2 in the atomosphere back in those periods of time you are describing..

Congratulations, video. You've pointed out the most vague solutions to the most complex problems. Now you should try suggesting some utterly impossible solutions that would actually do something to help... Technology is the problem, not the solution. Unless we all go back to the stone age, the world is probably going to be destroyed.
bentheiburg 1 year ago 19
@bentheiburg the problem isn't technology. it's actually part of the solution. the problem is more of human culture lag and the monetary economic system not being fast enough to adapt to modern technology and findings.
syk0saje 1 year ago 2
@bentheiburg lol so we should get rid of technology? you're not helpful either.
itsthegreenplatypus 1 year ago
@itsthegreenplatypus I believe it's less of an argument of how "helpful" I am and more of the fact that I'm being realistic.
@syk0saje Isn't that a bit of a utopian mindset though? It's never going to happen, so let's stop trying to push human culture to places it likely won't go.
Proof that alternative energy still won't work: Resources to build turbines, solar panels, etc. require fossil fuels to MAKE. It's self-destructive. We don't need to find methods to allow our current ways to continue.
bentheiburg 1 year ago
@bentheiburg Well there is 2 ways we can fix this problem. We can go back too the stone age, or all work together and pool in in order to increase the process of new technology alot quicker. If we had the technology to create Nuclear Fusion reactors then many of our energy problems would be solved. Of course we don't.
So basically work together....
Hexicznova 1 year ago
@bentheiburg : Nay to the doomsayer. We are on the brink of becoming a type 1-civilisation (controlling the planet earth's weather(yes also global warming), resources, etc.). It is a dangerous transition, but not an impossible one. Inventions like nuclear fusion, super rice, houses on the sea, fotosynthetic houses, nanotechnology, recycling co2... They are going to help the planet, and for all humans. What we should do is a law on how many children.
GRIJZEKAK 1 year ago
@bentheiburg hey well theother solution is out space and terraform other planet to live

@bentheiburg hey well the other solution is out space and terraform other planet to live, you should also scope out the venus project,
sadsadb0y 1 year ago
@bentheiburg So what you're saying is - technology, or the creative solution of problems, is itself a problem, and that we need to go back to being mindless animals driven by instinct if we are to "save the world".
Have I gotten the general idea of your comment? Do you realize how stupid it is?
DrCruel 1 year ago
@DrCruel But it really depends on your definition of "stupid". Stupid in the sense that we're back at living in caves? Make a compare and contrast, early man danced around the fire like mindless freaks, wearing torned clothes or just a piece of leaf covering private area. But even if we're to go back and live in a cave, will we really wear just a piece of leaf!? Will we actually dance around the fire like mindless freaks? Of course not!
polarspirit 1 year ago
@DrCruel Bentheiburg was just simply saying to make your house like a cave which belongs to an early man, not literally, of course. But to live without huge consumption of electricity in your house, just like how the people lived in stone age. Maybe a little more advanced than stone age, where electricity is only used for the necessities. This should be enough to save the world and to save our asses.
polarspirit 1 year ago
@polarspirit Technology implies nothing more than the application of human machines to problems. Finding mechanical solutions is not inherently self-destructive. Using energy is not "bad". As for managing our resources, simple market forces do that admirably.
I am no Luddite, and do not respect the argument.
DrCruel 1 year ago
@bentheiburg WRONG
Only technology can undo what it did.

MrMoelicious 2 years ago 2
1.3 children for 2 parents. Is hardly an increase, unless 2+2=5. CO2 naturally increases and decreases, proven in ice core samples. BASF also ruins food with genetic modification. The leading authority on climate change is always getting caught in lies (IPCC and CRU) and under investigation for fraud. BASF has been caught and sued numerous times for dumping chemicals in water supplies.
Nice vid criminals. How about you stop destroying our water and food? Now there's a plan!!!!!!! GET BENT!!!!

This guy is short sighted. We only need geothermal energy. The earth produces 2000 zetajoules of energy a year. that is 4000 years worth of energy demand met. Get real.
NoogLeader 2 years ago
@NoogLeader The worlds energy needs cannot be supplied by just one energy source. Rather, we need a hybrid of many energy sources. A little solar, geothermal, wind, hydroelectric, and tidal power will be more than enough.
However, if we discover functional fusion, all our energy needs will be solved and no hybrid will be needed. Just one power source; clean, efficient, fusion.
TheJakeGreene 2 years ago
Fusion isn't possible. The pressures needed can't be achieved on earth. The best source of energy is geothermal. The only limitation is drilling depth. Once Nanocomposite/quasicrystaline metal and materials become available for drill bits drill depths of 20 kilometers or more will be available. We could have geothermal everywhere. Geothermal energy is capable of supplying all our energy needs using hydrogen as a storage medium. Solar energy, wind, water all come from the sun ultimately.
NoogLeader 2 years ago
@NoogLeader I have to disagree. Fusion power is possible on earth. In fact we have done it many times now. The only problem that we face is keeping it going. What happens is small convection currents develop within the tocamack reactor and cool it down below critical mass. However, we are currently working on a bigger reactor that will basically negate those currents and hopefully be the first self sustained fusion. One fusion power plant can produce 100 times the energy as fission.
TheJakeGreene 2 years ago
"Fusion isn't possible. The pressures needed can't be achieved on earth."
People like you in the past said that human voice can never be captured and reproduced by a machine; that trains will never go faster than 20 kph; that 640kB is enough for everyone; that an airplane larger than DC-3 will never be able to fly. All of them were wrong. There are limits to what humanity can achieve, but right now we are nowhere close to them.
mardukcz 2 years ago
The problem in this case is Physics and Natural Laws. People like you thought that we would live on colonies on the Moon and Mars by now and we would have all our food dilivered in pill form. There are physical limits to what you can and cannot do.
NoogLeader 2 years ago
Is there any physical law that forbids mankind from having a colony on another orbital body? No. The only problem is lack of funds.
mardukcz 2 years ago
The only problem is money. There is no need for it anymore. Our technology can produce abundance for all with a minimal amount of human effort/work. Artificial Scarcity is necessary for the price system to function. Once you can produce things for dirt cheap the system brakes down. Moon colonies are more expensive then Houses on the Earth but what they could produce makes them more valuable. Why then have we not colonized the moon. The artificial barrier of MONEY?
NoogLeader 2 years ago
@NoogLeader Uh, yes, that's basically what I just said plus some nonsence about "artificial scarcity" and "there is no need for money anymore". Try watching less libtard youtube videos.
mardukcz 2 years ago
Actually Geothermal Energy can be produced anywhere. Only limit right now is drilling depth which is about to increase significantly with the use of qausicrystalline drill bits. Not to mention the fact that you can drill far less deep using something other then water as the energetic conveyor. Argon or some other liquefied inert gas would do. With increased technology the better the world would be and the less resources we would need. Getting rid of money isn't a libtard idea anyway.
NoogLeader 2 years ago
Surviving off only one source of energy is like putting all your eggs in one basket. not a good long term plan. i don't think they're being "short sighted" at all.
