I used to hang out w/Stanley on 48th. This is especially for my nephew, Master Braxton & his cousin. Nicholas, both of whom are destined to become great musicians. Take no prisoners and leave no evidence!
@shhshell Obviously there are people out there with no concept of how much talent it takes to accomplish what's being done in this video. But we're not watching their video are we?
Talking about adding to the unemployment: Jordan has put TWO guitar players out of work! And those solos would be great even if he were playing just the lead. Phenomenal!
all talking about guitare but PAY ATTENTION TO DOUBLE BASS ALSO coz this is just sick!!! what the hell is the name of this double bass player???? please help! thankx
I can understand everyone complementing the bassist, but lets get real. Any pro upright bassist playing with a famous jazz artist is going to be that good. What Stanley is doing...how many in the whole world can do that?
one of the best videos I have listened too. What extraordinary talent on all instruments. As great as Stanley and Charles are Don't let the sensitivity of the drummer get lost. He is equally incredible
I do love Stanley Jordan... he's great -- but this interpretation of Autumn Leaves is well... blah, technically impressive, not much else to it, I don't care for it... is trying to win some kind of race? -- I wonder if it would come out differently now?
@cornnutsmaj7 How different two listeners can feel music. Bill Evans played it melancholic and gentle, Stanley Jordan just the opposite. But it's a great tune, it sounds good in both ways.
how...how?? how the hell he do that!!! that shit is so fucking hard...how the guitar sound with no string atack!! i mean...its posible but its almost imposible to get so bright and complete sound AWESOME TECNIC! awesome drums and the bassist wow!!! a excelent perfomance!
I think the bass player is Charnett Moffett. He was playing with Jordan back when I saw them in I think it was the early 90's (Jordan just released the album with Stairway to Heaven on it), and I remember being totally blown away by his bass playing.
I first saw Stanley Jordan on KCET a few years ago.....one of the best musicians I've heard ever...this guy can play! KCET needs to show this feature again...What a blast!

@MacabreVideo why? Stanley was WAY before Zack and stanley can play anything zack can play. Stanley created the genre, zack is a copycat who plays the theme from mario bros. Give me a break.
