Let's not ask why the U.S. govt. has outlawed treatments for cancer that are efficacious; nor wax nostalgically as to why the govt. wages undeclared wars in nations that have no aircraft & no battleships and no standing armies; or why the govt. fabricates influenzas & the pandemic A.I.D.S., & sprays the citizenry with heavy metals in the name of "terra-forming"; or why the C.D.C. in Atlanta has 500,000 Hercules-Series coffin liners neatly stacked in a soybean field by the train tracks.

It still amazes me how John Waters went so mainstream in the late 80's. These films vs. "Hairspray", the mind boggles!

Yes this is true! Though Peter Jackson did go on to make Heavenly Creatures.
Maybe they bought bigger houses or something and needed the dough.
